One star is for the guys who had to carry the load on arrival.

All was good and convincing prior to paying for load and booking job. Completely downhill from there. The logistics are managed in a foreign company and communication far from acceptable.

The pack was done by some guy who in hindsight seemed high on drugs. He was like a bull in a china shop. One could think his speed was proficiency but on delivery it became apparent his speed was because things were simply tossed, jammed and randomly packed. No duty of care displayed at all. Pretty much damage and breakage in all boxes. Boxes not labelled appropriately. Many not filled or filled with whole wads of packing paper with nothing wrapped in it. Even filled fuel cans ( despite being put to the side to be left) packed in boxes. Luckily I identified this when I noticed leakage of oils and fuel in my shed.

No priority of loading with kitchen items remaining on nature strip with first container shut. No trolleys provided, no lifting straps , no floor runners Some items were dropped including a custom made Pilates reformer from the truck deck onto bitumen road at pickup. It was the most disorganized and confronting event to experience.

Don’t sign the document on the phone. You can’t read it as they can’t show you the details. They hold you to ransom quoting that items can’t be lifted if not signed.

Be sure to ask for proper copy as they basically mark that everything is worn and soiled. That way no responsibility is taken for damages.

On arrival the receiver who delivered was terrific and horrified to be part of the destruction of my possessions. My move was Qld to Tasmania. The poor guys in Tasmania constantly apologized for the state of my furniture and home items. Items were scratched; gouged, stained and destroyed with some undeliverable as they were smashed in the container. Contents of boxes shattered, crushed and damaged. Soul destroying

Insurance process laborious and slow. It’s all time wasting and lack of ownership of actions by company that cause damage. The claim was over $20k. Eventually paid after repeatedly pushing for resolution. The monetary part is nothing compared to the turmoil this company caused my family at Christmas.

Do not use this company if you want good service. The lack of ownership of task at hand , the lack of duty of care shown is incredible. Expensive for far from competent service.

I implore you to and use a different company!

Ensure your items are all written down their insurance company did not pay me for my missing item . I'm very disappointed at how they handle it and do not want it to happen to others.

Firstly Allied Pickford in dubai packed and helped with paperwork stating not all items must be listed but categorised.

When the boxes arrived I contacted Allied Pickford in dubai the next working day as the delivery men in Australia at the time did not offer to unpack our boxes so therefore took a few days to find out missing items.

Their insurance company wanted to offer me $92 when goods broken and items missing where sentimental value and irreplaceable .
At the end very frustrated and did not claim and decided will not use this company again.

Service cost: $5000

After extensive searching and multiple promises of the quality and professionalism of their service we were seriously let down. We were even sent photographs of ‘our’ mattress in a crate..
When our belongings arrived the mattress was in the thin plastic sheet we had seen it leave the house in, despite being reassured it would be created and even sent a photograph or said crate! Packing was appealing! Shoes and pillows in the same box! iMac computer not properly packed and stand sticking out of the box on arrival! And of course the insurance is worth nothing as they nickel and dime you at every opportunity. Seriously don’t use these clowns, liars and cheats!

If you want to get annoyed, stressed, disorganised, worried and have a bad experience then choose Allied Pickford, as if you are on their pick time and a priority customer, you will get unpleasant planning changed on last minute (delay to clean your apartment, changes of handover keys, delay with lift booking) you night mare will start then, All is beautiful until you pay, then nobody is accountable, you will have so many people but nothing done as per expected. Of course they will give you a lot of staff but why if you will need to re-schedule on the last minute, re-organise their mess, fixed some furnitures in order to sleep or have a normal life and then wait around 3 month with a lot patience and a lot of time at home in order to get you refund for broken furniture. Without talking about having your bedroom boxes in the bathroom and bathroom boxes in the living room, good luck. They don't do want they planned, they fast track the pick-up and delivery as they are late and you end up having a mess at home for a while, NO THANKS.

Our move was from Dubai to Melbourne, a 2-bed apartment. It took over 4 months for our items to be delivered.

Interactions with the Move Manager in Melbourne were very challenging. My husband and I found the communication to be abrupt, confrontational, rude and aggressive. The Move Manager did not keep us updated on the status of the shipment arrival which forced us to put the item into storage which meant that we had to pay an extra "handling fee". The Move Manager also made mistakes in emails about the date that the shipment was arriving, which did not help us avoid the extra "handling charges" which we thought was already included in the large amount we already paid.

Overall the service was very unhelpful (everything was a "no") and it felt like the Move Manager was on some kind of incentive scheme to pile on extra charges.

Boxes were not removed on the same day as per the agreement and I had to make serval calls to get this resolved and I was told, "we'll pick it up sometime later in the week" which was not acceptable. The delivery staff didn't really want to unpack the boxes, they wanted to move to the next job. The basic assembly of furniture didn't happen because the delivery staff didn't have any tools.

Dreadful service, no care, no responsibility..

Move from Perth to Hobart.

Perth packers dropped a TV, pretended it didn’t happen.

Hobart unpackers

- Didn’t assemble furniture as per contract, screws, and bolts missing from beds.

- Dropped TV didn’t work, two months and still no resolution or offer of compensation.

- Driver tried to back-up our steep driveway, tore up and destroyed the drive, no compensation or even an apology, taking them to the small claims court in an attempt to have it fixed.

I would suggest you look for a careful mover, NOT Allied Pickfords.

I Paid top dollar thinking Allied Pickfords will do the job – instead, what looked like contractors turned up.

Boxes and furniture were loaded onto their truck on a Monday from two-bedroom villa to be delivered Tuesday, the following day.

I unpacked boxes during the week after arrival at our new home only to find that four boxes containing expensive jewellery, watches clothes and a valuable and sentimental model car collection all completely gone. These are four boxes containing these items. Missing.

After making numerous calls to Allied Pickfords and with no contact being made from Management, the receptionist became the spokesperson for the situation which is incredibly unprofessional.

This company employs thieves, and no one seems to care.

I used Allied Pickfords to move from Darwin to Sydney.
I regularly relocate for work all over the country, and have used them before.
This time, I ended up with 2 MASSIVE deep gouges across the front of my stainless stell fridge.
I paid the $300 insurance, and have just got a so called "offer" back from their insurance mob, saying they'll give me $478 towards repairing the doors on the fridge.. That is.. AFTER I PAY $100 excess.. S
So basically, I'm paying $400 to get $378 back!!
Or, I just lump it, and put up with the damaged fridge.
Never again will I use Allied Pickfords.
I am relocating from Sydney to Cairns in 3 weeks, and will definitely be looking elsewhere to give someone else my business. I'll also be telling the dozens of friends and work colleagues, who regularly relocate around the country for work, to use someone else.

Allied Pickfords uses other companies to move their goods internationally. I moved quite a few boxes of personal goods from Shanghai, China where they use a company called "Shanghai Freight Forwarding" company. I signed a contract WITH Allied Pickfords so I believe they need to take responsibility ensure the quality of their service for other companies they use. My goods arrived damaged (e.g. expensive leather boots bent and broken in the soles - the packing company put them in the box, and plates cracked). They also took 3 months for it to arrive. I had to call them up in Sydney to find out where my boxes were as the tracking system was not activated online. Allied Pickfords in Australia told me they could not help me because it was another company. Very frustrating. I will never use them again nor recommend their services.

I used Allied for an international move from Australia to the US. Their U.S. partner - Schumacher - has been hugely frustrating to deal with. If you use Allied, beware of the other companies they contract at the destination, as quality can be quite poor.

Through Allied, I paid for delivery and unpacking service at my house in the US. However, upon arrival in the US, the men refused to take the boxes upstairs, left them in the garage, and did not remove any of the packaging. After numerous follow-up calls, the delivery has still not been completed properly. Schumacher has promised 3 times now that they would re-send men to finish the delivery - but each time, no men arrive, and no calls are received. This poor service has resulted in countless wasted hours of my time. Delivery still has not been completed properly, and I have not been compensated for this poor experience.

Allied - please re-consider your partnership with Schumacher.

The Careless Removers! Allied Pickford are slapdash, rip offs and thieves. Not all my boxes were delivered to my new home although they ticked off every one as having been delivered so I had no proof, and I didn’t realise until all the boxes had been unpacked some time later. They almost lost the only key to an antique dresser and I eventually found it myself screwed up in a ball of paper at the bottom of a discarded box. They also put bar code stickers on everything which are impossible to remove - with no warning in their (expensive) quote or permission to do that. I’m still finding them and trying to get them off months later. They couldn’t get things packed up and unloaded fast enough. They couldn’t care less about the safety of your belongings. I thought paying top rate for a removalist would guarantee satisfactory service, but far from it. Be warned, NEVER use this appalling company.

Our move to Australia
This not the first time we have moved but it’s been the most traumatic
First we asked Pickford’s for two prices one to Adelaide one to airlie beach
The one to Adelaide was house to house
The airlie beach was storage to airlie beach which we did not notice but when we enquired as To the lower cost they said it was probably due to way the ship goes and did not point out that this one was from storage this was misleading as we had asked both be from the same point to the same point in the two locations
Next Pickford’s used another company to do the packing, this company under packed some boxes arrived crushed fortunately there was no major damage, but it meant we had to leave some things behind as they could not get it in the containers they brought for storage
The container arrived in Brisbane on time but quarantine stopped some items
We was informed that some items required cleaning and if we payed immediately they would arrive as one consignment with a delay of two weeks (from now you need a pair of wellingtons)
On delivery I asked where these items were the delivery driver, he asked the depo they said due to the clean room being down there would be a delay of a week or two
After we rechecked the boxes there was at least one missing this we informed them within two days they said they would look for it {wellington time) and they would get back to us (wellington time)
For several weeks we enquired where the box was and when was the other items going to come this is when the story changed to the paperwork was not filled in yet so they can’t clean them. So the clean room had nothing to do with the delay (another welly moment)
Now the story has changed yet again saying some shoes need to be cleaned I have enquired which box they came out of. As to my knowledge we no boxes had been resealed, to dated we have had no answer to this question
We had to get on to the uk branch as every time we contacted Brisbane they say they will get back to us (you’ve guessed it) we have had plenty of apologies when we have contacted them but no action
In three and half months Brisbane have emailed us once after the intervention of uk branch saying that the goods would arrive Monday the following week they didn’t arrive and no communication saying why
Brisbane should change their heading to allied Pickford’s the fertilizer producers hence the need for wellingtons they seem to have a lot of bulls
Apologies don’t make up for the inconvenience, stress or loss of goods caused by the inaction or communication with us.

My container left Toronto, Canada on April 5.
It was Discharged from Customs in Sydney Australia May 27th.
I was contacted on May 30th that it was discharged, and to pay the discharge fee, which I did the same day.
I called them to ask when it would be delivered.
The agent said it had to be sent to a local team in Newcastle, and they would get in touch.
No word from them.
My Canadian-side team chased it up, and I have heard that it will be the end of next week, 15 days after being discharged!

Logistics companies are supposed to be the most organised lot!

I will never use their services again.

The communication has been nonexistent.

I moved interstate from Melbourne to Sydney with Allied Pickfords. They were impolite, unorganised and messy. They lost screws to all the furniture they disassembled and proceeded to refuse to deal with the issue (I had to go buy screws and had to make them come back three times until everything was assembled). No box was labelled properly and it took us days to find things. King Size Mattress was stained and dirty because it wasn’t wrapped properly. Unbelievably bad communication and disorganisation throughout. I moved 10 times in 8 years, serveral times internationally, and I have NEVER experienced anything like it. Go with literally ANYONE else and you will dodge a bullet.

I would give Zero stars if possible. Very expensive, Overpromised and Under delivered. Once the sale is made - this is where everything ends with them. The move manager in Dubai was very slow to respond and required follow-ups. The move manager in Australia never answered any of our calls and emails. The 1 time I spoke to her was after I had complained and she made a promise to call back with an update - which never happened. I had to send several follow-up emails and repeated calls requesting an update of our items which was delayed for over 1 month. I had to request a new move manager, which Allied did not do despite their failure to deliver the service they promised. Then when a delivery was finally scheduled, they promised they would call a day before to advice the time of delivery and guess what ... at 4:00PM still No Call. They are quick with one thing though- sending an invoice for extra charges and collecting point. That was about it. I would never recommend Allied Pickfords again.

One of their drivers - semi trailer Dean ran a red light going straight through an intersection of right hand turn only off M4 & Cumberland highway. He then lied about it, misled where he worked, changed stories of route taken, the license he showed me had expired. He didn't care making excuses, denying responsibility, then rushed off leaving me on the onramp written off car no phone. THEN later the company reps Stacy & Carol never rang back, showed no remorse when I notified them 3 times. Police also want nothing to do with it as no one was seriously hurt or dead. The company are disrespectful, arrogant lying rude people. Lucky it wasn't a family or school bus involved

We moved from the UK to Australia in October 2021 and the move was co-ordinated by Allied Pickfords Richlands. We have moved many times, both domestically and internationally, and this is the worst experience I have ever had - lacking in any degree of competency, terrible communication, exorbitantly expensive and taking twice as long as any other move. What has arrived - eventually - is a shipment with 95% of boxes damaged/furniture wrapped is torn and upon opening the boxes, we found our belongings literally thrown into the boxes with no packing/wrapping material at all. Items were not even packed with any degree of care or logic, but thrown in at odd angles, with no protection. I am disgusted at what Allied Pickfords did to our belongings and I would strongly discourage anyone from using them.

Allied were responsible for packing, delivery and unpacking a large an expensive item (75" flat screen TV) in a move from Cairns to Brisbane. Original packaging with all associated protection was provided and they were asked to use it, yet they chose to use a generic carton. The item was delivered in an unworkable condition with a large diagonal crack across the screen.

Their response is to deny any responsibility, stating that they are not 'contractually obliged' to use the original packaging. Their default argument is that additional insurance would have addressed this, however the insurance is aimed at damage that occurs by accident or outside of control, whereas in this instance the choice not to use the properly designed protection provided was their deliberate one, despite being instructed to do so.

They were not the cheapest option, were late on the actual delivery schedule and damaged the property to boot!

Woeful service and a very poor representation of the industry.

I paid for a VIP international move from Canada to Australia and I did not receive the VIP service on arrival in Australia. Allied in Canada was outsourced by a company called Sheffield Movers who were excellent! However, Allied in Australia was terrible! Everything which was packed into a space of 30 feet on a sea container was packed into a 20 foot truck on arrival to my storage unit. Boxes marked fragile with arrows up were on their side with other items stacked on top of them! All my mothers china and royal daltons and dishes from the 1800 are in those boxes! There was lots of other fragile items, family heirlooms I was fearful about. Everything got packed in the storage unit unorganised due to being distracted by this bingo sheet I was to check off. While one guy was calling out numbers at me, 2 others guys were running around behind me asking me where I wanted things to go! I struggled to stay focused on it all with discrepancies with the bingo sheet having the same numbers being called out twice and then three times! The movers claimed numbers were not written clearly on the boxes then later realised there was 2 inventories! I have no idea what is missing and fearful of what is broken. With everything being so rush rush rush with them running up and down with their trollies with fragile items and bouncing fragile boxes on top of each other left me very anxious and stressed! I have no idea where things are now due to the way they packed everything in the shed. I tried to organise them but they were just too quick to wanting to it done like they had some place else they needed to be! I felt too stressed to make quick decisions! What happened to the VIP service I received in Canada! No taking their time or leaving me feeling satisfied the way everything is packed in the shed! Now I can’t get at anything with big boxes stacked at the front! I complained after to Allied customer service who were expecting a review and I asked for someone to come back to help me sort it out properly and they refused! Seems I was indecisive and it’s all my fault! I have no idea what is broken or damaged and I will now have to pay for another moving company to come help me move things around so I can check! I’m almost certain everything in those fragile boxes are broken! Movers in Canada said other movers will know the marked fragile boxes need to stay upright with nothing on top when I stressed my concern for all the fragile items! The movers in Australia said na, it doesn’t matter, everything will be ok! This is only the tip of the ice burg, there is much more to the story with all the extra $2877 out of pocket cost and all the delays! The 2nd half of the experience since leaving Canada has been stressful!
