Alliance Movers

It has been over a week since pick up of my items. Initially things went very well until they actually picked up my furniture. I have called every day this week just to check the status only to hear that they "don't have that information available". Now they don't know where anything is. I was told I had a 3 to 5 day spread for delivery, we are now well past this. At this point I am only trying to find out where my things are so I can pick them up myself, to be met with being hung up on. I think I'm justifiably upset.. I am pregnant with a 2 year old and have not had a bed to sleep on in over a week. I would never recommend them.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4200

So far I'm giving a one star for lack of clarity. I pretty much got charged double my initial given price (2500) because of "extra inventory". I lived in a 800 sq ft apartment. The extra inventory were normal items in my house. I don't understand their way of business. Why charge for extra items that are your standard furniture? I'll update this accordingly as it's addressed.

Edit: Called their finance department to speak with the guy that took my order. He asked me initially about any "big furniture" i have. I told him and it was put on his inventory. Then later after being charged 2 extra grand m, He basically blamed me and said i misunderstood that if i don't list every single item in the house, I'm charged for it. But he never explained this. And THAT'S how they scam you.

Fyi, if you plan on using alliance movers, literally make sure you list every and any single item in your residence. If not you will be charged for every single thing you have. I hope this helps people. I'm doing another edit after the furniture is delivered.

They brought my furniture a week later. Damaged. Not surprised. Charged me extra again for stairs and every 75 ft that were traveled unloading the truck. This company is awful. Never again.

They lie to you about the cost and timeframe to get the sale but don't hold up any parts of their deal. We were told it was going to be 2300, when the guys came to get the stuff it was not magically 3800. We agreed simply bc we had to be out that day and had no one else to help. Now it's been almost a week and still not ETA when they will deliver our stuff. We were told 2 days max... and then when we called on day 3 wondering what was going on we were told we never should of been quoted 2 days as that is near impossible. ? No they were supposed to call back on Monday but never did. I am starting to feel this is a hate crime against my Asian husband as the attitude of the drivers changed the minute they saw my husband. Not they are holding our items hostage with no answers at all. I highly recommend you find another moving company... I'm not sure I'll ever get my items back at this point.

I booked my moving dates with representative Frank Hirsch. Long enough before the moving dates I updated my inventories. Before I called Frank I prepared the exact number w/ size of boxes (total 50) and pieces of furniture. However at the time of call Frank had no desire to deal with my specification and decided to round the boxes to 25 large and 25 medium. I warned him that any surprises with money won't be acceptable. He could've sent someone to see the inventories. He could've take a short face time view. He could've request picture. He could've request attached list with specified inventories. Instead he decided to round the boxes and assured me that this is just fine. The result: 50% increase in money at the last minute when the movers arrived. They knew you are stuck. They knew you have no choice at last moment before closing. Any conversations w/ supervisor for accepting their responsibility and apply with any discount were useless. I call Frank a LAIR, and I call their practice DECEPTIVE. I NEVER WOULD WORK W/ THIS COMPANY AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND.
