Agility Van Lines

I hate moving, so the least I have to do, the better. I recently moved from Baltimore,MD to West Palm Beach,FL. I found Agility Van Lines on google. I originally spoke to Vince who gave me a quote of about $2600 for the move with a 2 day window for pickup. I got a call from the movers the day before pickup which was the first day of the window. When the movers came, they were polite, fast, and packed everything up very carefully. I was most concerned with my tvs and glass dining room table, but they were so careful that I couldn't have been more comfortable. My stuff was delivered to FL and they unpacked it very fast,as well. I just had to tell them where to put everything and they did. Once they measured how much space my stuff took up in the truck before heading to FL, it came out to be a little cheaper thanks to Vince overestimating on the original phone call. The only thing I regret is that I couldn't have met Vince in person during the move to thank him. What a mensch!

Service cost: $2400

I was shocked, really, at how poor this service was and the LIES I was told. I feel used and victimized, and will never use nor recommend this company to anyone. We moved from CT to GA, and a LOT of promises were made by "Mike" that fell flat. My main complaint is that the estimate was changed AFTER the truck was loaded, and this is clearly a breach of contract. Yet, the paperwork shows that it was all done BEFORE since the numbers were not filled in until the end; that is when they tacked on the extra once the truck was filled and I had no choice other than to accept it or tell them to undo the 5 hours of work they did. I was also promised by both Mike and the men who packed the truck (Derek and Martin) that they would be at the delivery personally. This goes against their contract as well. As it turns out, it was outsourced to a third party -- tired, rude, and overworked men who had no idea what was fragile, what was a piece of family furniture, and no strategy for unpacking the truck. They were unable to put together most of the furniture (another promise broken), and the kicker? They forgot the paperwork! I have no way to cross reference my inventory since most of my blue stickers are gone, and many of my bins have been previously opened. I was then asked to send the paperwork to their company. I will do so once I receive a self-addressed, pre-paid envelope AND have verified my inventory since they tried to give me items that were not mine, including jewelry. This delivery lacked the organization that was well done at the packing, I felt bullied, my items had been dropped and manhandled, and the entire experience was negative. I went with this company based on the promises Mike gave, and none of them were true. This was the largest move I'd ever made, and I'm extremely disappointed.

If I could take away the one star I have to give them I would.
I had a six day delivery window from AUGUST 21st.
Today is September the 23rd and they have not completed my delivery!!
They picked up my belongings on one truck and decided to off load it and reload it with another persons belongings. Not only did they not put all of my stuff on it they lost all of the nuts bolts and power cords to my adjuster able bed.
They told me it would be a week before they could send someone to fix it!!
Because they repacked the truck there are many scuffs and scrapes and broken items.
I was promised a reimbursement from the owner over two weeks ago and have not received it.

Today they told me I would get a call this morning for my delivery window. No call!
I called them and they said that the truck will be here around 5.

BBB will be hearing my complaint.

My Daughter &her family moved from IL. to Ga. I was there to see that all of their belongings were moved. My Husband & I were Extremely impressed with the movers Ontario, Brandon, & Carlos. They were professional & made sure everything was wrapped & boxed so nothing would get damaged. We will definitely use this company for our out of state move & request these 3 hard working men. Thank you for making it so smooth. My daughter was very happy when she received her things.

Hired Agility to move us from Youngstown Ohio to Sarasota Fla,
They agreed to an April 1 Delivery date, Delivery never happened, We have had no furniture in our new home and have had to stay at a motel. Agility seems to be confused and does not seem to even know where our furniture is or when they might get it to us.
This has been a nightmare caused by terrible service. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Tried to get some help, talked to Shane at the company, who told us to not text him before he hung up on me,.

Using Agility Van lines as my moving company was such a great decision. Don't look anywhere else for help moving! With all the stress from moving, these guys are a Godsend. Really friendly and professional. They work quick and the services are reasonably priced. Somer went above and beyond with customer service!! They wrapped everything up so nothing was damaged and did not mind having to go up stairs because the elevator was busted. Would recommend to anyone I know!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3900

Our move was from Winston Salem, NC to Leesburg, FL. A 600 mile move. They picked up on 04/23/18 to be delivered to our new address on 04/27/18. Here it is 05/22/18 and only some of our belongings are here. When they pulled up in front of our home in FL, the driver would not take the lock off the truck until he was given a bank check. After he was given that, then he told us he did not have all our belongings (not even half). They unloaded what they had and there was more furniture on the front of the truck. Why was someone else's stuff on the truck when all of our stuff was not. We were told by Alex (no longer with the company) that our belongings would not be off loaded. That was a lie. When they were still loading our belongings, the driver got a phone call to go to Richmond, VA to pick up some other stuff. We realized right then that we had been lied to. Now when they call they keep moving the delivery date out further. It was susposed to be 05/24 and than it went to 05/25. We told them we were leaving for vacation on 05/26 and needed our stuff before we left. My husband has been living out of a suitcase for a month. We had to go buy him some underwear to tie him over. I am a business woman and have not had my computer to do work on. We have had to eat out since we got to FL because our pots and pans are somewhere with our belongings. We are down to 2 meals a day because we cannot afford more than that. This company is a complete disaster and should not be in the moving business. All employees lie to you on a daily basis. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU.

This posting is a an update to my review posted 5/14/18.

After delivery we received an apology from Agility. This was appreciated and we were also surprised and relieved when they located most of our missing items that were not delivered and shipped them to us. Those were received 5/18/18. In addition, Agility's President contacted us to offer compensation for the remaining lost items. We estimated that value at $83.00. Agility responded by refunding us the $83.00 plus an additional $200.00 compensation as an acknowledgment of the poor service we received.

While all of these efforts to make amends were welcome it does not negate the other facts regarding our experience with Agility.

It is still a fact that they picked up our belongings on 4/10/18 and, instead of delivering them in a timely manner, placed them in storage without our consent and did not deliver until 05/05/18. We had no idea where our property was during those 25 days.

It is also still a fact that Agility changed the delivery terms of the agreement after we paid the two required deposits.

And it is still a fact that communication with Agility during the 25 days that our belongings were in their possession was almost entirely one sided. We had to continually contact them with requests for information. Those requests were often ignored.

We consider our case with Agility Van Lines closed. However, it is our hope that our story may be a help to others.

Unfortunately my mother passed and we had to distribute her belongings between the siblings. I contacted home advisor and came across Agility Van Lines. I was very pleased with the ratings and website. I spoke with Jimmy who made me understand everything that was going to happen.

The move day came and went and there was not a single hiccup along the way. I trusted Jimmy and felt that they were going to handle my mothers belongings with care. The crew that picked us up and delivered my stuff 2 days later were so professional and kind.

You have to check out Agility Van Lines if you plan on moving. The stress free relocation they completed was exactly what I expected from a family owned company. Thank you Jimmy and all 3 men that completed my move.

I was very apprehensive in choosing a moving company after reading everything that goes into moving long distance from Florida to Tennessee. This was our first time using a moving company as opposed to doing it ourselves. I worked with Shane, the owner, and he was very professional and answered all my questions. He really held my hand every step of the way!
I was so happy I found them! He made my move as smooth as possible! The workers he had were phenomenal! They wrapped everything in blankets and bubble wrap. It was delivered as promised a day early! Teddy, Ty, and T were great! Very polite, and got right to business. They didn't mess around or take their time. They were very efficient. I felt I could trust him and his company. I am not disappointed! Nothing was broken, although we are still unpacking. Best decision EVER!! I would totally recommend Agility Van Lines! I can't say enough great things about this moving company. There are a lot of shady moving companies out there and that industry doesn't have the best reputation in general, but Agility was STELLAR!! Wish I could rank them higher than 5 stars!

John promised me that I was the only one on the truck back on May 21st, when we signed the contract. Then on June 18th, the owner Shane, called me and said we were not the only ones on the truck. I reminded him about our agreement that if he didn't deliver me on time, I would dispute the charges on my credit card. He then told me to find another mover..so if you are reading this and you wanted to give a family owned company a chance (as their reviews aren't great), do yourself a favor and don't use Agility.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5000

This is probably the least professional company I have ever used. I was originally quoted what I thought was a price that was encompassing everything I spoke to John about, full pack and disassembling my bed. According to the movers, this quote did not include any of that. So why John gave me a quote that was inaccurate, I will never understand. My movers arrived a whole day later than originally agreed. Then the day of their arrival, they showed up 4 hours after their "4 hour window" of arrival. The day of drop off, they also arrived 5 hours later than agreed. Movers were impossible to get in contact with, the company was less than helpful as a liaison between driver and client. All in all, my quote was $1000 off of what was demanded by the movers. I would have gladly paid that extra money if the movers were professional, communicative, and genuine. But everyone was conniving and did not care at all about what they were doing to the consumer. Would never refer this company to anyone. If you're looking for a mover, look elsewhere.

John was very helpful, honest and forth coming. We were skeptical at the beginning because we didn't think he could be accurate without coming to our home. We had 2 other companies come to our house and all 3 were within $400 of each other. John provided information on how to do research and ask specific questions based on what was important to me. All 3 companies seem to be good and respectful of our time. We ultimately chose John and we are glad we did. Earl and his crew kept us updated throughout the entire move. Picked up on time and delivered as agreed. Everything went smooth, no damages or concerns. We will definitely recommend Agility to our friends and family..

CONSUMER BEWARE - Do Not Use this company

I agreed to move during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of June. They didn't deliver my boxes until the 2nd week of July, 2 weeks later than what was agreed upon.

I am only going to echo the exact same issues that others have with Shane Y. and therefore won't recount the entire event. The aspects of the move that I agreed to have done did not happen.
a) Pick up my good during the pre-determined 4 day window
b) Receive a phone call when the driver was enroute
c) Immediately take my boxes/items to the new location --- Not store them in a warehouse
d) Drop off the boxes/items during the agreed upon 4 day move-in period
e) Receive a phone call from the office or driver when they were one day away

Everytime I received a call from Cindy with a set day and time, it was a lie.
They picked up my goods a week late. Instead of driving them up to my new home, they put everything in storage for 2 weeks (2 weeks later than the agreed upon delivery period).
The delays have cost me more than $600 in flights and additional home items due to their lies.
