Long-distance move from Saint Petersburg, FL to Fairplay, CO

Professional.

Not only Adam's Moving provided a Fair Price they were professional and took care in moving both small and large items. They arrived on time and were very efficient while getting things into the truck and unloading as well. They were clearly experienced. I don't even want to think how long it would take for me to move what they moved! Overall 5 stars for sure!

Long-distance move from Dania, FL to Florence, AZ

Efficient.

Adam's Moving were prompt, efficient and polite. They were more than movers . They were helpful in all aspects of moving. We were all moved in one day, not one scratch or nick on walls or furniture. They came back the next day to move a grill in place. They were great. They were easy to work with. If I ever move again, they are the ones. Thanks a lot.

Long-distance move from Washington to Arizona

Movers broke my things.

The movers that were hired from Seattle to Tucson were late to arrive. They arrived after dark 8:30pm

They were rough with my things by throwing my items. And I'm not sure they gave me all my stuff?? They tried to give me someone else's thing too!! Not happy at all!!

Long-distance move from Conroe, TX to Chapin, SC

Just don't.

The original estimate of $2500 turned into $9900. They demand cash, want a reservation fee, 750$ for me paid thru PayPal. 60% up front the rest on delivery. They never checked with me on a delivery date, just emailed me and said it would be there the next day. When I would NOT be there. I learned too late ethical movers don't demand up front money. Just save yourself a lot of money and aggravation and find an honest, ethical mover that doesn't demand ip front CASH and gives an honest and binding estimate. These guys are scammers, just ck the BBB website. Tons of complaints, few resolutions. There are ethical movers out there, Adam's is not one of them.

Do Not Use This Company!!

I wish I could leave a review specifically about two individuals, not the entire company. The moving crew that picked up, as well as dropped off, were WONDERFUL!! They were very accommodating and supplied additional packaging materials for us when we found out that all of the tvs and lamps had to be in boxes for them to transport them. This is something Matthew NEVER explained to us. Finding this out the day they came, especially having 6 flat screens and 12 lamps was upsetting. I would think that the person in charge of the account would have explained this to us. Matthew was very much on top of things prior to receiving payment from us. However, after we made the initial deposit, he was not as responsive as he previously had been. Matthew also did not explain to us that if we were going to use a credit card for the remaining balance it had to be paid 10 days in advance. Again, upsetting… His manager, Mike, explained this to us the evening before the crew came. Using cash was not an issue for us, thank goodness, but it would have been nice to know in advance. A 14 hour notice isn’t exactly what I would call acceptable. It created additional stress that could have been avoided had we known we had to pay with a cashier’s check and not a card. I would have to say that Mike is one of the most unprofessional individuals I have ever done business with. We could not get a straight answer from him about when the movers would arrive, and on the scheduled day they actually did not show. We didn’t receive any correspondence throughout the day. It was basically a stressful waiting game for us. We continued to call Mike for assistance because Matthew would no longer return our calls or respond to emails. Mike finally texted and said he can’t do anything for us and to not call him again. He said we had to call customer service for any additional help regarding our move. Mike… just a word of advice… That’s not called customer service. I can assure we wouldn’t have had to call you so many times if you actually knew what you were doing. Hopefully the company will provide you with additional training, especially in the area of CUSTOMER SERVICE. We did receive all of our belongings quickly, so that is something positive. Again, the moving crew on both ends of the move were great!! It was the drama we had to encounter on the account and business end of the move. If we went back in time and had to set this move up all over again, we would NOT use Adam’s Moving. Paying more for a more reputable company would have been worth it in the end. So, this is my review. I strongly urge anyone reading reviews to select a moving company to NOT use this company. If you do, make sure you understand everything on the front end because they are not exactly forthcoming with information.

Long-distance move from Everett, WA to Rapid City, SD

Buyer BEWARE!!

If you want honesty, I would not go with this company. This was absolutely the worse move of my life!!!

This was a government contracted move with the state of Washington as we were moving from Washington State to South Dakota. Once the Adams Moving Representative, found out this was a government move, he wanted to change the quote to incorporate more room for my things, even though I didn't have much. I was told that increasing the quote would give me a peace or mind about owing more money for a quote that was under-reported. I explained to him that would be lying and I would not do that as it was dishonest and he quickly backed off.

I realize that when the government is involved things can progress at a snail's pace. They wouldn't move my stuff until they received payment from State of WA. They picked up my stuff on January 26th and it was not delivered until March 18th. I had been very involved in this process and called many times to find out if the check had been received by them and to a date when my belongings would be delivered.

On February 26th I was told that they had received the check but now I had to pay an additional 398 for storage fees had incurred while they awaited for payment from State of WA and that they would not deliver my belongings until I paid that fee amount. I tried to get them to understand that they had received the check that day and that my stuff would be going out in a few days and I didn't understand why I had to pay for an entire month, especially because it was out of my hands and they payment was coming from State of WA for the move. I was then told that the State of WA check they said they had received, had to "clear the bank" 5-7 days later. Again I asked to speak to a supervisor but was never put into contact with anyone who could answer me why a government check needed to "clear". Here to find out, they never received that check that day. They were lying and the 5-7 days was the time they were hoping that the check would come in and then they could tell me when my stuff was to be delivered. I waited for the 7 days called back to find out when my stuff would be delivered and was told that they were waiting for payment from State of WA!!!! I tried to explain that the check had been received and then was told that they were looking for it!! And wanted me to give them the check information of which I did not have.

I called the State of Washington and they told me that Adams had put the wrong address on the paperwork they submitted and that I would have to wait 10 days from that date until they could cancel the check and reissue an new one! By this time I am very angry and I called back and let the customer service representative have it! He tried to tell me that he was trying to help me and that I needed to calm down and that it was not him that had lied to me about them originally receiving the check. I informed him that it didn't matter whether he did or not and that the confirmation of the check received was from a representative of his company. Then 2 days later on March 11th, I received and email stating that they had received the check and had asked the State of WA not to cancel it.

I called them back immediately to ask when my belongings would be delivered and they at that time didn't not have an answer and I was told that on Monday the 15th my stuff would be loaded onto a truck and that they would call me when that happened. I waited all day on Monday 3/15 for that call and no call came in, so about 3 pm I called them and asked if my stuff had been loaded and was told at that time that the driver had been stuck in some weather and that it would not be loaded and they didn't know when it would happen. My husband tells me that the movers will be there on the 18th. Imagine my surprise! As I was suppose to receive notification when the movers would be leaving and then again when they were 24 hours out! They just continually lied about everything from the moment we began this process.

It wasn't even Adams Moving that delivered my stuff but a moving company called Dumbo Moving. Which again was another lie told to us that they were not a broker, but was local and handled all the moves themselves! If so then why is this other moving company dropping our stuff off?

The drop off crew was not as good as the pick up crew. The one guy was on his cell the entire time he was here and when they put my bed together they didn't put it together right. They had put the box springs upside down. We took the bed apart to put it correctly together and imagine our surprise --the bed frame, the box springs and the mattress was not ours!!! ALSO a couple of lawn hooks that you hang bird feeders weren't delivered either. T I never called to complain to Adams because I didn't want to hear their lies or get the run around about missing property. I was just grateful that I got my stuff at this point and most of it!

Long-distance move from Puyallup, WA to Laughlin, NV

Great, great... GREAT moving experience.

I used an aggregator site to find movers on short notice. My phone exploded with calls and texts.

Out of the group, I called two and Adams Moving and Storage was one of those two.

Their price was competitive with my research and the one other company I spoke with.

What closed the deal was the service rep, Anthony H. He was so professional and courteous, that I called back and booked within an hour.

He was able to accommodate a pickup window with only three days notice, worked with me to update my list after I added more and more items to the move.

On the receiving end, the two gentlemen unloading (and carrying up three flights of stairs) were also very professional, friendly, thorough and all kinds of other positive words to describe them with.

If you're considering Adams Moving and Storage, I say give them a chance. Based on my experience, you will be glad you did.

Don't forget to ask for Anthony H.!

Adams Moving and Storage - Katy, TX.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! A single star rating is overly kind for Adams Moving and Storage (also DBA: Adam Moving) Katy, TX. This company and rep. [NAME EDIT] that was assigned to my move guaranteed that Adams Moving would handle all of my goods from origination to destination and stated they "are not a broker" verbally and in writing. Yet my goods were picked up by Adams Moving and delivered by a third party unidentified, unaffiliated moving company on a third party truck. I had missing items which are still unaccounted for including a box of sensitive financial documents as well as other broken, scratched and damaged items. I also paid Adams Moving $139.00 to have a large screen TV wrapped and crated for "guaranteed protection from damage", the TV arrived at final destination wrapped in a moving blanket, uncrated with a smashed screen rendering it useless. The third party driver noted that he had received the damaged TV as is on the bill of lading and signed his name to it as well as the other missing items. Now after 6 months of waiting and communicating with the Claims Company because Adams Moving refuses to take my calls, Adams Moving and Storage has offered me a grand total of $164.00 of compensation for the damaged and missing items. It will cost me more money to dispose of the broken TV than they're offering in total compensation!!! Adams Moving and Storage is horrible. They lied, misrepresented themselves and completely FAILED.

I wish I would have read the BBB Reviews of them prior to dealing with them.

There's a good reason Adams Moving has an "Unaccredited Rating" by the BBB.

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a reputable Moving company.

Long-distance move from Garden Valley, ID to Misenheimer, NC

Amazing movers

Max was great about responding to my inquiries and check-ins before the move. He not only arrived at my building EARLY, but he also started the clock only once he was already inside my apartment and prepared a bill form for me to sign. Max and the other gentleman who came with him were very pleasant throughout the move and highly efficient. It was like magic the way they shuttled all my stuff out of my apartment so quickly and managed to move my big furniture without having to disassemble anything. I am still unpacking, but I do not see any damage to my belongings or the walls/floors, and I don't expect to since they were careful and seemed to be masters at maneuvering important things around corners.

Long-distance move from Humble, TX to Palm Bay, FL

Really deserve ZERO stars - Houston office the worst!

Would give them ZERO stars if possible! My move cost $10,000 and was a nightmare from the day they showed up. The inventory sheets were not complete....this is extremely important to report since these sheets are vital to filing a claim. My move from Humble, TX to Palm Bay, FL went horribly from the day they showed up to the DAYS they took to deliver. MOST of my immaculately cared for furniture arrived damaged, ranging from gouges like ball pin hammer was dragged across them with force, to busted wood on my expensive solid wood furniture! The boxes of dishes and furnishings that I packed myself were spared the destruction, thank God. They made two pick ups and two deliveries. I was not present for the second pick up because the original pick up date was moved twice and when they finally arrived for the first pickup I had to leave late that day driving 17 hours straight through to make the closing on my new home in Palm Bay, FL, AND my home was sold and the new owners needed to move in. With the second pick up, they miscalculated the size of the truck needed, so the workers only took what they could fit and left the rest!!!....they did NOT tell me, they just arbitrarily made that decision, and I found out AFTER the fact when a lot of my things were not delivered. After contacting their customer service dept multiple times, I was told that they thought the items were misplaced in their warehouse and ONE MONTH later, after I HAD TO INITIATE ANOTHER request, they apologized that they were unable to located them. Then I reached out to the new owners who sent me pics of all the items left behind which they assumed I meant for them to have or dispose of as they wished. Most of the things they kept and I don't hold the new owners responsible for that! After all, they owned the property "and everything in and on it" when they closed and paid me for the house. For weeks, which turned into months, I asked this company for ALL the paperwork on my move, which they refused to provide. The few inventory sheets I did get from the first delivery driver did not have many of my delivered items even listed, for example my breakfast table (damaged), one of my TV's (smashed), my wood and glass entertainment center damaged and missing one glass shelf, and the base to my solid wood china cabinet (smashed wood) with glass hutch (undamaged). Over and over they responded to my many requests for assistance with "you were told to file a claim". They referred me to a third party claims company with which I registered. I found out that my claim had "no insurance" which I didn't even know I had options, and I would be reimbursed 60-cents per pound. The claim forms required so much information that I could not provide. They wanted before and after pics of the damaged goods and the item number on the inventory manifest. Pictures were no problem, however so much of the damaged items were not even on the inventory sheets! OMG I could not believe this was happening to me! I estimated my physical damages to be $5,000. I consulted with a furniture restoration company that told me that it would cost more to restore the furniture than to just purchase new (i.e. my Tommy Bahama dining table and chairs that seats 10) Two of the chairs were not restorable, and every part of the table and two leaves were horribly gouged with scratches all over the top and edges, and the herringbone cane sides scraped all around. They damaged my two matching metal and glass office desks and my solid wood computer table arrived as a pile of wood sticks. The delivery driver told me he had never seen anything like it, and went to his truck to call Adams and LOUDLY COMPLAINED to them on his cell phone, but there was nothing he could do but empty his truck and leave. I could go on and on, but I am exhausted with being ignored, disrespected and disregarded, and the claims process is impossible because I would be claiming against items I cannot even find on the inventory sheets. Every response to my emails (BTW I can't reach them by phone because I believe they blocked my phone number) ends with "Once again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. All the best!" makes me furious and sick to my stomach. "All the best"???? There is nothing BEST about this disasterous mess and nightmare. They don't care about me, my family, or the heartache they caused us. Do not use this company.... AND, Adam's Moving, do NOT even respond to this complaint. I don't want ever again to hear "Once again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. All the best!" and your touts about all the efforts you all make to provide a satisfactory experience. It seems to me that people move once in a "blue moon".... so you only have to deal with them ONCE! If it's a good experience yay for you... if not, too bad so sad for me!
