Long-distance move from Earleton, FL to Westminster, CO

Cool composed pros.

Cool composed pros. That’s how I would describe my movers from Adam's Moving. They took care of my belongings just as I would have. They managed to accomplish the relocation within the set time frame, and I cannot complain about anything they did for me. I will use them again. Each aspect of my relocation with Adam's Moving was as cool as I had wished. Importantly, everything was brought in great condition.

Good Moving Service!

What a GREAT team! We had six men and 2 trucks moving a huge home, into another huge place. These guys worked fast. Nothing broke, they were all extremely polite and put everything where I wanted it. My wife and I have moved many times before and I will us no one else. They were the best and they were very inexpensive. They were awesome and I am going to spread the word.

Can you rate 0 stars?

I can’t say I am a frequent mover (I have only moved about 2 times in my life). But this company has got to be the WORST moving company out there.
-They gave us a 4-hour window for their arrival to begin the move. They arrived in the last hour of the window, which was 5pm.
-On the first day, they moved our belongings into a small truck. By the end of the day, one of the movers asked in confusion, “You’re moving to St. Louis?” They ended up moving all of our stuff from the small truck to a semi. We booked these guys weeks in advance—St. Louis listed as our destination. How was this information news? Beats me.
-It took 3 days (8 hours per day) for the movers to move everything to the truck on move-out day. For someone who works for a living, you can imagine my frustration with having to take off work to be there.
-On move out, they rolled our kegerator, scratching our floors all the way from the dining room through the front door. Scratching is an understatement here.
-Upon arrival in St. Louis, the company wanted to charge us $1000 additional, as they were in a semi, and semis were not allowed down one street in our neighborhood. Worst of it all, the driver was the most unfriendly, unhelpful human.
Our move is ongoing. I have low hopes of getting moved in in a timely manner. I also have low hopes of getting our belongings or even new home back in their original state. The lack of professionalism and customer service with regards to this company is appalling. By writing this review, I hope to prevent any further harm and wrongdoing on their part. Please don’t make the same mistake of hiring Adams Moving.

Pro Movers.

These guys are truly life savers. Excellent professionalism, working with your needs and also reasonably priced. There were 4 men on the crew that moved our home. They worked with the allotted time in mind and were very accountable for the hours worked. They work well together and were very pleasant. I don't really ever want to move again but, if needed I will use them again!

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to Raeford, NC

The worst experience ever.

This is not what I expected from a professional moving company. I was told that my items would arrive in North Carolina by 18th of October. I even took off work to ensure that someone would be available to receive the items.

I called the customer service line when I hadn’t heard anything and was told oh no your items haven’t even been loaded. Like what in the hell. The person on the other end stated that someone would call me back with updated information. That did not happen.

I called back again for my calls to go unanswered several times.

Then on the 20th of October I called again to inquired about my delivery. The agent said she would call back with an update. When she called back I was told that the items would be loaded on tomorrow 21st October I said ok and hung up. Well now it’s the 23rd I called to inquire once again about the status of my items/delivery and was informed that no my items had NOT been loaded and that this would not happen until Friday 25 October.

Honestly this is the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with, and the worst moving company I’ve ever dealt with. most recently I had items coming from Abu Dhabi located in the United Arab Emirates and those items have made it safely to my destination less than the 14 day timeframe and this is from an overseas moving company.

I cannot believe that to move items from one state to another there has been this major of an inconvenience.

Had I known this would be the outcome I would have never went with this company. This is the worst experience ever with moving items. To top this off no one from customer service has called to keep me the customer informed or updated. Each and every time I’ve had to initiate call.

I will not be recommending this company at all.

Small move and furniture rearranging in my house.

Highly recommend Adam's Moving Co. I had a small job but getting high quotes (e.g. $150 to just show up at my house and 2 hr minimum). Responsive, courteous, and on time and a reasonable quote that they maintained. Omar and Rodney were professional and careful when moving pieces up the starirs. Have their card saved and will recommend to my friends and use again if I need help.

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to Pittsburgh, PA

Huge price change on day of move.

I chose Adam's moving because the price that was initially quoted was very cheap. They do their estimates over the phone instead of doing a physical walkthrough of your house, so I listed everything that would be included in the move as I walked through each room of my house. The man on the phone told me that he had been doing this for many years and that he was very accurate in estimating how much space everything would take up. The day of our move the price ended up increasing by over $3,000 because he did not assess it accurately. Then on top of that our dining room table wasn't delivered to our new house and we received an item from somebody else's move. Make sure to save the inventories and estimates that are associated with your move number, because you are not able to access the link that they send you once they pack up everything from your house.

Reliable, quick and highly recommended.

I have used these guys on several occasions for moves, always found them to be on time and reliable and the bill to be what they said it was going to be. Pretty unusual for the moving business. I have had issues with other companies. I got to know the guys at peach through all the charity work they all do around town. If there good for the Braves good enough for me. Staff are courteous, professional, and treats each and every customer, no matter how BIG or SMALL the move, like a VIP. Keep up the Great work Adam's Moving.

Thanks to the team of Adam’s Moving.

Thanks to the team of Adam’s Moving for managing our move so well. We were worried about the glass and crystal ware. But our biggest concern was the grand piano and my favorite pool table. But when we saw everything arrived safely and within the schedule, we were happy like anything. I am impressed with the service of Entourage. They know how to handle each piece and they gave their best and treated me and my valuables as if that belongs to them. Being honest, I have never seen such efficient and caring moving team by far.

Unreliable long distance delivery.

This is the worst moving company I ever had to deal. Bad customer service , false advertisement on their website about delivery time and misleading information. I used to this company to move my stuff from one state to another. At first their rep was very persistent and followed through. After they picked my stuff up it became a different story. I called on the 25th of November to get my goods shipped and spoke to a guy name Angel who told me to send an email with address. A few days went by and no one contacted and I called and they told me I was supposed to enter the date I needed my stuff shipped into the email. Sent a 2nd email and 2wks later no delivery. I called them again and they told me that Angel never sent request for pick up and that he was no longer with company. Then started dealing with Stephanie who sent request and stated that they would pick my stuff up 4days later. No one called so I got in contact with them once again and she stated the driver that’s bringing my stuff got stuck in a different state due to a snow storm and would get back to me in 48hrs. No one called! When I contacted them 2 days later driver was still stuck. Now almost a month later still no goods and they still giving me the run around. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR LONG DISTANCE!

They will be telling you details and answering all questions when they pass and they will be giving updates. I'm really happy with the service and I'll use it again.

Great Movers!

This traveling experience was excellent. Over the last six years, I have relocated four times and this moving company has been above and beyond the others. The cost (including packing) when we packed ourselves turned out to be less expensive than last time. The team was enthusiastic, polite, hard-working, supportive, and enjoyed having a day with them. The Driver Told me All Good Reviews Written by The Company.

I AM NOT PUTTING THE REAL MOVE LOCATION since I wish to give no details for them to harass me

-Lets list all the things this company did . I beg you to never ever ever use them
1.Paid for full service moved , used my own property to wrap my valuables not packing supplies . Wife had to pack boxes since they were to slow and were missing items in the house
2. Charged me 1500 extra for using additional space , delivered my goods in original quoted space
3.Stole money out of my child's piggy bank ..YES cash stolen out of a child's piggy bank
4.Lost all my gaming systems ( stole) but all the books next to them mysteriously made it
5.did not deliver hardware for child's crib
6.lost/ stole all the lids to my kitchen pans
7.Damaged personal property
8. Delivery driver told me to sign paperwork before he woudl deliver off the truck ..MY BAD yes but never counted the boxes and the paperwork was illegible had no ability to dispute .
9. Went to a private " third party " group for settlement.
10. Company offered me as they said " above and beyond their legal obligations ..,the sum total of $50..$8000$ move they offered $50

STAY AWAY they will ruin your stuff , damage your property and they care so much about their customers , they feel $ 50 is a fair repayment for their horrible service, ineptitude and stealing BUYERS BE VERY VERY VERY AWARE.

Efficient.

Adam's Moving were prompt, efficient and polite. They were more than movers . They were helpful in all aspects of moving. We were all moved in one day, not one scratch or nick on walls or furniture. They came back the next day to move a grill in place. They were great. They were easy to work with. If I ever move again, they are the ones. Thanks a lot.

Just don't.

The original estimate of $2500 turned into $9900. They demand cash, want a reservation fee, 750$ for me paid thru PayPal. 60% up front the rest on delivery. They never checked with me on a delivery date, just emailed me and said it would be there the next day. When I would NOT be there. I learned too late ethical movers don't demand up front money. Just save yourself a lot of money and aggravation and find an honest, ethical mover that doesn't demand ip front CASH and gives an honest and binding estimate. These guys are scammers, just ck the BBB website. Tons of complaints, few resolutions. There are ethical movers out there, Adam's is not one of them.

Do Not Use This Company!!

I wish I could leave a review specifically about two individuals, not the entire company. The moving crew that picked up, as well as dropped off, were WONDERFUL!! They were very accommodating and supplied additional packaging materials for us when we found out that all of the tvs and lamps had to be in boxes for them to transport them. This is something Matthew NEVER explained to us. Finding this out the day they came, especially having 6 flat screens and 12 lamps was upsetting. I would think that the person in charge of the account would have explained this to us. Matthew was very much on top of things prior to receiving payment from us. However, after we made the initial deposit, he was not as responsive as he previously had been. Matthew also did not explain to us that if we were going to use a credit card for the remaining balance it had to be paid 10 days in advance. Again, upsetting… His manager, Mike, explained this to us the evening before the crew came. Using cash was not an issue for us, thank goodness, but it would have been nice to know in advance. A 14 hour notice isn’t exactly what I would call acceptable. It created additional stress that could have been avoided had we known we had to pay with a cashier’s check and not a card. I would have to say that Mike is one of the most unprofessional individuals I have ever done business with. We could not get a straight answer from him about when the movers would arrive, and on the scheduled day they actually did not show. We didn’t receive any correspondence throughout the day. It was basically a stressful waiting game for us. We continued to call Mike for assistance because Matthew would no longer return our calls or respond to emails. Mike finally texted and said he can’t do anything for us and to not call him again. He said we had to call customer service for any additional help regarding our move. Mike… just a word of advice… That’s not called customer service. I can assure we wouldn’t have had to call you so many times if you actually knew what you were doing. Hopefully the company will provide you with additional training, especially in the area of CUSTOMER SERVICE. We did receive all of our belongings quickly, so that is something positive. Again, the moving crew on both ends of the move were great!! It was the drama we had to encounter on the account and business end of the move. If we went back in time and had to set this move up all over again, we would NOT use Adam’s Moving. Paying more for a more reputable company would have been worth it in the end. So, this is my review. I strongly urge anyone reading reviews to select a moving company to NOT use this company. If you do, make sure you understand everything on the front end because they are not exactly forthcoming with information.

Long-distance move from Humble, TX to Palm Bay, FL

Really deserve ZERO stars - Houston office the worst!

Would give them ZERO stars if possible! My move cost $10,000 and was a nightmare from the day they showed up. The inventory sheets were not complete....this is extremely important to report since these sheets are vital to filing a claim. My move from Humble, TX to Palm Bay, FL went horribly from the day they showed up to the DAYS they took to deliver. MOST of my immaculately cared for furniture arrived damaged, ranging from gouges like ball pin hammer was dragged across them with force, to busted wood on my expensive solid wood furniture! The boxes of dishes and furnishings that I packed myself were spared the destruction, thank God. They made two pick ups and two deliveries. I was not present for the second pick up because the original pick up date was moved twice and when they finally arrived for the first pickup I had to leave late that day driving 17 hours straight through to make the closing on my new home in Palm Bay, FL, AND my home was sold and the new owners needed to move in. With the second pick up, they miscalculated the size of the truck needed, so the workers only took what they could fit and left the rest!!!....they did NOT tell me, they just arbitrarily made that decision, and I found out AFTER the fact when a lot of my things were not delivered. After contacting their customer service dept multiple times, I was told that they thought the items were misplaced in their warehouse and ONE MONTH later, after I HAD TO INITIATE ANOTHER request, they apologized that they were unable to located them. Then I reached out to the new owners who sent me pics of all the items left behind which they assumed I meant for them to have or dispose of as they wished. Most of the things they kept and I don't hold the new owners responsible for that! After all, they owned the property "and everything in and on it" when they closed and paid me for the house. For weeks, which turned into months, I asked this company for ALL the paperwork on my move, which they refused to provide. The few inventory sheets I did get from the first delivery driver did not have many of my delivered items even listed, for example my breakfast table (damaged), one of my TV's (smashed), my wood and glass entertainment center damaged and missing one glass shelf, and the base to my solid wood china cabinet (smashed wood) with glass hutch (undamaged). Over and over they responded to my many requests for assistance with "you were told to file a claim". They referred me to a third party claims company with which I registered. I found out that my claim had "no insurance" which I didn't even know I had options, and I would be reimbursed 60-cents per pound. The claim forms required so much information that I could not provide. They wanted before and after pics of the damaged goods and the item number on the inventory manifest. Pictures were no problem, however so much of the damaged items were not even on the inventory sheets! OMG I could not believe this was happening to me! I estimated my physical damages to be $5,000. I consulted with a furniture restoration company that told me that it would cost more to restore the furniture than to just purchase new (i.e. my Tommy Bahama dining table and chairs that seats 10) Two of the chairs were not restorable, and every part of the table and two leaves were horribly gouged with scratches all over the top and edges, and the herringbone cane sides scraped all around. They damaged my two matching metal and glass office desks and my solid wood computer table arrived as a pile of wood sticks. The delivery driver told me he had never seen anything like it, and went to his truck to call Adams and LOUDLY COMPLAINED to them on his cell phone, but there was nothing he could do but empty his truck and leave. I could go on and on, but I am exhausted with being ignored, disrespected and disregarded, and the claims process is impossible because I would be claiming against items I cannot even find on the inventory sheets. Every response to my emails (BTW I can't reach them by phone because I believe they blocked my phone number) ends with "Once again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. All the best!" makes me furious and sick to my stomach. "All the best"???? There is nothing BEST about this disasterous mess and nightmare. They don't care about me, my family, or the heartache they caused us. Do not use this company.... AND, Adam's Moving, do NOT even respond to this complaint. I don't want ever again to hear "Once again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. All the best!" and your touts about all the efforts you all make to provide a satisfactory experience. It seems to me that people move once in a "blue moon".... so you only have to deal with them ONCE! If it's a good experience yay for you... if not, too bad so sad for me!

Constant issues after payment

I used them after all these promises of good timing, communication, and good customer service. Once they got the initial down payment everything changed. We have missing boxes, we have many broken boxes and misc items. The bed has a huge gash in it now. The pick up date all the sudden changed after put money down. Then the drop off date changed 3 times. They said we would get 24 hr notice to pick up and drop off and neither happened. Pick up we got no notice and drop off we got about 3 hours notice then Adams movers weren't even there to unload. The 3rd party driver who was hired unloaded everything with a crap attitude and got an horrible attitude when I asked who I could call to get him some help. Once I paid for everything the communication went downhill and no one will communicate.

Long-distance move from Everett, WA to Rapid City, SD

Buyer BEWARE!!

If you want honesty, I would not go with this company. This was absolutely the worse move of my life!!!

This was a government contracted move with the state of Washington as we were moving from Washington State to South Dakota. Once the Adams Moving Representative, found out this was a government move, he wanted to change the quote to incorporate more room for my things, even though I didn't have much. I was told that increasing the quote would give me a peace or mind about owing more money for a quote that was under-reported. I explained to him that would be lying and I would not do that as it was dishonest and he quickly backed off.

I realize that when the government is involved things can progress at a snail's pace. They wouldn't move my stuff until they received payment from State of WA. They picked up my stuff on January 26th and it was not delivered until March 18th. I had been very involved in this process and called many times to find out if the check had been received by them and to a date when my belongings would be delivered.

On February 26th I was told that they had received the check but now I had to pay an additional 398 for storage fees had incurred while they awaited for payment from State of WA and that they would not deliver my belongings until I paid that fee amount. I tried to get them to understand that they had received the check that day and that my stuff would be going out in a few days and I didn't understand why I had to pay for an entire month, especially because it was out of my hands and they payment was coming from State of WA for the move. I was then told that the State of WA check they said they had received, had to "clear the bank" 5-7 days later. Again I asked to speak to a supervisor but was never put into contact with anyone who could answer me why a government check needed to "clear". Here to find out, they never received that check that day. They were lying and the 5-7 days was the time they were hoping that the check would come in and then they could tell me when my stuff was to be delivered. I waited for the 7 days called back to find out when my stuff would be delivered and was told that they were waiting for payment from State of WA!!!! I tried to explain that the check had been received and then was told that they were looking for it!! And wanted me to give them the check information of which I did not have.

I called the State of Washington and they told me that Adams had put the wrong address on the paperwork they submitted and that I would have to wait 10 days from that date until they could cancel the check and reissue an new one! By this time I am very angry and I called back and let the customer service representative have it! He tried to tell me that he was trying to help me and that I needed to calm down and that it was not him that had lied to me about them originally receiving the check. I informed him that it didn't matter whether he did or not and that the confirmation of the check received was from a representative of his company. Then 2 days later on March 11th, I received and email stating that they had received the check and had asked the State of WA not to cancel it.

I called them back immediately to ask when my belongings would be delivered and they at that time didn't not have an answer and I was told that on Monday the 15th my stuff would be loaded onto a truck and that they would call me when that happened. I waited all day on Monday 3/15 for that call and no call came in, so about 3 pm I called them and asked if my stuff had been loaded and was told at that time that the driver had been stuck in some weather and that it would not be loaded and they didn't know when it would happen. My husband tells me that the movers will be there on the 18th. Imagine my surprise! As I was suppose to receive notification when the movers would be leaving and then again when they were 24 hours out! They just continually lied about everything from the moment we began this process.

It wasn't even Adams Moving that delivered my stuff but a moving company called Dumbo Moving. Which again was another lie told to us that they were not a broker, but was local and handled all the moves themselves! If so then why is this other moving company dropping our stuff off?

The drop off crew was not as good as the pick up crew. The one guy was on his cell the entire time he was here and when they put my bed together they didn't put it together right. They had put the box springs upside down. We took the bed apart to put it correctly together and imagine our surprise --the bed frame, the box springs and the mattress was not ours!!! ALSO a couple of lawn hooks that you hang bird feeders weren't delivered either. T I never called to complain to Adams because I didn't want to hear their lies or get the run around about missing property. I was just grateful that I got my stuff at this point and most of it!

Horrible communication so far

I’m really hoping I will be able to change the rating of this review when ( or if) I get my belongings but so far this has been a nightmare. The significantly underestimated how much stuff I would have so the cost is way more than anticipated which isn’t close to the worst part. I was told the items would be delivered in 2-14 days and here we are on day 14 without an update in sight. I’ve called almost every day asking for an update and it has been “pending” for the entire time. I allegedly had a driver signed up for my move a week ago who mysteriously was removed from my move without explanation and there has been no movement since. I was specificities by an agent that they are under contract to deliver within 21 days but at this rate I’ll be shocked if that happens. Really hoping that I get a call back with an update (that I’ve been promised several times over the last week) but until then it’s a one star experience. Come on Adam’s! Get it together so I can improve this awful rating and go on with my life (and so that my 1 year old doesn’t have to sleep on the floor while we wait for you to deliver our goods!)

Good work!

I felt so good moving with them. There were peace and tranquility during the move. As opposed to the other movers, these were more careful with my properties. The brittle and fragile items were handled with the perfection they deserved. Thanks so much for being so considerate. In the case of future moves, I will hire Adam's Moving and have them offer me what they did last time!
