That was the response I got after they cancelled the job 3 hours after the job was supposed to have started, because they couldn’t be bothered doing it. It was too hard for them to move a 3 bedroom house.

So, don’t bother with this company. They only expect to do half of the jobs they book and take deposits for, and then get tired and want to go home. Time for a career change guys.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Most reviews are fake as they force you to review them while they keep your things on the truck. You have no option but to give a 5 star review to ensure the safety of your goods and then they insist on seeing it and taking a photo a proof - very dodgy! They claim to be insured but will refuse to lodge a claim if they break your furniture. They ripped the legs off of my TV cabinet by dragging it along the ground and have refused to compensate or lodge a claim for compensation. Will not return calls or emails. Owner is TERRIBLY rude as others have mentioned.. They will not take care of your things as is confirmed by so many other reviews. Honestly this group is dodgy!!

Karan from Ace is a foul mouthed hooligan threatened to extort exorbitant money for a shoddy job. $140 per hour for 2 lazy blokes who can give snail a run for its money. I mentioned all the items I had for a 4 bedroom house and was told that I would get an appropriate vehicle. Then arrived a vehicle best for a 2 bedroom house. This required double trip with a snail paced loading. At $140 an hour I am tempted to quit my job to be a removalist and but at least I would have the integrity to perform better for dispropotionate money charged by these good for nothing extortionists. To add to this I got a lesson in mathematics,Mr.FOulmouthed Karan quoted $140 x 4.5 hours = $797! but my calculator which is more precise than my aging mind says $630! I had the sinking feeling to pay $630 but $797 from the great calculators of Ace movers gave me a shock! When I asked about this ground breaking magical calculation I was told I was smart ass. I refused to pay this extortion. Then comes the threats that Mr. Karan is 20 years experienced in this business and he knows how to get the money with a barrage of F bombs. Luckily another operator called me and asked me to settle for $700. This in addition to the $50 call out fee I paid to book their service. I learnt an expensive lesson today. Get yourselves a truck for hire which would cost $120 a day. Hire a helper on air tasker or even better get your mates and some beer. A 4 bed room house removal would not cost more than $300. Don't go for these theives. The money they take is cash in hand and I am unsure of tha taxes they pay. All in all it is a business run to extort money from unsuspecting customers. They advertise for $70 per hour and they quote $140 per hour saying its a 2 person job and then they magically quote a final figure surely not for the weak hearted. May your buisness go to hell.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $797

Truck turned up a bit late, I lived by myself in the small unit and they told me it will take 2.5 hrs to get everything into the truck. I told them I’ve booked for my new place to move in soon they kept saying I have to call the office they’re just a driver. Seriously didn’t they communicate with each other? Cost me $650 and nearly cost me more when they said my 3 seats couch was too big to get into the lift and my queen mattress. They said they have to use fire stairs but they will charge me $30 per level. But thank god it fitted in the lift so I don’t have to pay for that and no one told me about it. One of the movers kept checking on the phone. I’m not sure because they wanted more money to waste their time or not. But that time I just wanted to get things done as soon as possible but they put all my stuffs with the trolleys into the lift and I had to took all my stuffs to my room. I thought I don’t have to do anything when I got them to do work for me and I paid good money for them but end up i was like apart of their team. It’s terrible and I’ll told everyone don’t use this company again!!!

I was quoted $140 per hour for two experienced movers and a truck that would offer a full pack, move and unpack service. They were without doubt the worst removalists I had ever dealt with.

They consistently forgot to load things in the truck and if they couldn't figure out how to take furniture apart the either broke it or just left it behind without asking me first.

Their unpacking service consisted of one of the guys just randomly sticking stuff anywhere he could think of. For example with the fridge he just put the ham and cheese in the freezer and the ice cream in the fridge compartment, basically he was stuffing things anywhere.

One of the guys was on his phone for hours on end and just carrying things with his free hand and as a consequence they worked at a snail's pace. As they were charging by the hour they obviously didn't care about the time it took as it just made them more money for the job.

After they unloaded the truck I asked where the TV was and they said they couldn't figure out how to take it off the wall mount (which was actually very simple) so they just left it behind. I asked about some other items which I couldn't locate and they just said that they forgot to load them. Then they handed me a parking fine and asked me to pay that for them as they had parked their truck illegally. When I went back to check what they left behind there was 3 car loads of stuff that I had to pack and move myself. As they were so slow and incompetent heir bill was $4000 as they worked for two full days. I felt sick to have been so taken advantage of.

Do not make the same mistake I did. I took a chance and booked them for my move from Doreen to Beveridge (approx 30 mins as per Google Maps).

I moved all the smaller items myself and left the bigger items like sofas, beds, bookshelves etc for them to move.

I specifically asked for a larger sized van so the move could be done in 1 trip.

When they arrived with a smaller van alarm bells should have rung then.

This now meant that they had to make 2 trips to finalise the move which meant the move would take longer and surprise surprise this would cost more.

Halfway through the move I was getting worried about how things were going and when I spoke to someone in the office I was told that the job should be finished by approx 3:30pm and the cost would be apporx $650.

As the move was going on it soon became obvious that they would not finish by this time.

So the whole job took longer than what even the people at the office believed it should take.

They demanded I pay some money BEFORE they even finished the job!

I refused and said I would pay WHEN they FINISHED !

When I called the office to find out what was going on I was told that they would probably finish about 5:00pm and the total payable would be over $1200.

I was told that the 2 men took about 3 and 1/2 hours to load the van the first time,

took about 45 mins to dissemble one of the beds (in our previous move it took another company about 10-15 mins !) and to top it off took about 1 hour to drive to the new home (even though GPS time was 30 mins).

I asked them to send me details of the GPS and times for the move as even they were surprised about how long the move took.

I sent an email advising them I would be writing this review if I did not get a reply.

IT'S AMAZING THAT PEOPLE WHO CHARGE BY THE HOUR WILL SOMEHOW MANAGE TO TAKE LONGER TO FINISH A JOB THAN THEY WOULD OTHERWISE IF IT WAS AGREED PRICE.

Booked 10 toner truck but they sent 2, 4 toner trucks. Upon enquiry the worse customer service person Harry said he has given me a favour by not cancelling the job. Due to the size of the trucks, movers were unable to fit everything in the truck and I have to get a trailer after to finish my move.

Moving staff in trucks were good

After the job, they try to rob extra money from me by adding extra cost.

I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE, especially the guy Harry... who was abusive and have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS

Worst company ever. Never showed. Argued and yelled at me. Wasted 3 hours of my time waiting for them to find a new truck. Clearly they didn’t bother bc they were all sleeping. No one answered their phones or followed up. One guy told me it’s the lone weekend. Yes. It was Easter Saturday but you took the booking a few weeks prior. To add insult, he told me not to call back find another company. He waited until he knew I had to leave that day. He still couldn’t be bothered securing movers. It was the lax, rude & I don’t care attitude that bothered me the most. It was more than an inconvenience. I did get another company to come that day. But the whole experience was made so stressful by the first movers.

Hired Ace Movers to move my small 2 bedroom townhouse. MASSIVE MISTAKE!!

I pre packaged and dismantled everything and placed it all in one room to ensure the move could be done swiftly, and thank god I did as these guys were slow and had no idea what they were doing.

It took two trips and the first one I couldn’t really complain about - except that the truck went out 3/4 full, but at least all the large items were in, leaving the smaller boxes.

The second trip was a dead set joke. They worked at a very slow pace, left the front end of the truck relatively empty, and then proceeded to lock up and tell me they are full.

They didn’t even pack my TV!!! Oh, and still have a few items at my old property which I’ve got to hire a small van to move, myself.

If anyone is considering these guys because the price is competitive - there is a reason why, and you’re better off paying an extra $10-$20 an hour elsewhere for people who actually know how to pack a truck.

I’ve given 2 stars purely for the fact they didn’t break anything.

They arrived late, spent 30 minutes trying to work out how to back their truck into our relatively easy driveway and proceeded to work slowly for the rest of the day. There was zero sense of urgency and they clearly had limited experience as removalists - the driver was on his P-plates which I think is pretty unprofessional for a removalist. They were dismissive, slow and took longer than quoted (4 - 7 hours quoted, job took 7.5 hrs plus 1 hr call out fee) - GST was also added at the end. It cost us double what we had budgeted. They had a smaller truck than organised and gave us a 'discount' for this, but it would've saved us a trip and a lot of time and money if the original truck had been used. At the end I was accidentally charged for an extra hour and I'm still waiting for a refund. Some of our large items were left behind because they insisted they could not fit them in, however it was clear they had simply forgotten about them. As they were leaving they asked to borrow a broom to sweep their truck with (no idea why they didn't have one) and swept ciggie butts, bits of rubbish and other trash onto our driveway and were about to leave it there until my husband made them pick it up. All round very bad experience and I would not recommend this company.

Hired Ace Removers. They showed up 1.5 hours late due to “traffic” and then proceeded to take 4.5 hours to move a 1.5 bedroom place 5km down the road. Taking 1 item down the lift at a time, my husband and I had to step in and do their job for them as it was taking so long. They then charged me 5 hours for 4.5 hours work as there was a “half hour callout fee”, then GST added onto it. Altogether it was $680 to move a 1.5 bedroom place (minus boxes and other items my husband and I had moved earlier on). They were only speaking what I assume was Hindi to eachother so we couldn’t understand what they were saying which we thought was quite rude. They broke the door off my cabinet which has been moved numerous times before with no issues. save your money and go with someone else.

These guys provide VERY poor service,

the guys on the truck are not trained & Very slow, not good when you're paying an hourly rate.

The guys took more that twice as long as the company we used 12 months ago

And the got lost between homes.

They're are after your money! $$$

They kept 2 items on the truck & wanted payment before they unloaded the items.

Horrible experience! Avoid at all costs. They are completely unprofessional and take advantage of people in a vulnerable position.

We had an awful experience with Ace Movers. The head office has been completely unprofessional and added stress to the already stressful process of moving.

The truck was not adequate for our possessions, so on the day we had to hire a trailer at our cost to move the remaining things. We were quoted 5-7 hours and we were charged for 8.5. There was damage to multiple items of furniture. Boxes labelled 'this way up' and 'fragile' were completely disregarded. We paid the additional charge for stairs but all of the furniture items were left downstairs.

The worst part has been dealing with them after the move. It took over a week for them to send the receipt and since then they have not responded to any of my emails.

I would avoid Ace Movers at all costs, moving is a really stressful time and they just add to it.

So this is the company that held my belongings for ransom..they were extremely unprofessional and left my house when I said we may need two runs and not two trucks… after one of their employees stood in my home and advised me what size truck would be needed mind you…and forced me into having to pay for two trucks or they wouldn’t come back, knowing I was between a rock and a hard place I had little choice… they extorted money and intimidated me

As a single woman it was also terrifying

The owner yelled and was abusive and absolutely unwilling to address any issues

My property was damaged in many ways and they were speaking to me like garbage. It was the most vile experience I have ever had with a company.

They did not answer calls at many points throughout this and when they did it was so abusive and degrading, while being gaslit

While packing the truck they were extremely rough and broke many items and even threw things on and off the truck

When they packed the truck up they refused to leave unless I paid them 2200 dollars and when we arrived at my new home one of the men yelled at me for being later than them by about 20 mins (we had been stuck in traffic) and found some of my belongings thrown on the ground, my candelabra was thrown like a dart into the ground. My dingy paddles were thrown to the other side and one is still missing. One of the men kept glaring at me and it was very intimidating.

After unloading most of the truck,

the men cornered me and said I then needed to pay more. They pressured and intimidated me trying to make me pay additional funds and refused to take the remainder of my belongings off the truck until I did and if I didn’t, the owner would deduct it from their wages. I said that I would wait til the next day to see how legal it was and they backed off and left my items. It was terrifying

I am a single, 48 yr old mom of two and have never in my life had anything like this happen or even heard of it happening.

Please do not use these movers!

I have also seen other reviews today, that I am not the only one this has happened to!!

They broke our lamps and denied liability. They arrived late, worked slow. When it came to drop off the demanded payment before unloading the truck or else they would take our stuff. When it came to discuss the broken lamps ($1500 each) they denied and said it was like that. I had photos prior but they refused. Honestly go anywhere else. Rude staff, intimidating. When I range the manager and complained (also refused to pay until unloaded) he unleashed a torrent of vile abuse calling me homosexual slanders, c*#%, f^## and so on. He was crazy. Worst removalis of my life

Unprofessional, unorganised, arrived on site with without the correct equipment-

Trolley blankets etc, lazy work ethic looking at their phone regularly and when I complain to their boss he was incredibly rude, arrogant and basically told me if you don’t want them cancel the job.

Terrible attitude when they know you need to be out of the property on the day - almost like holding you to ransom.

Finally the staff need a lesson in personal hygiene and the use of deodorant.

There are more professional removalist out there.

Do not use ACE as they are NOT ACE and incredibly expensive.

I have done several moves (1+) but this one was the worst of the worst - a true nightmare!

I provided ACE MOVERS with a full list of packed items to be moved prior and requested a quote. The original quote estimate with a 12 ton truck and two persons provided by ACE MOVERS was 6-9 hours for a max cost of ~ $1500. The move took a total of 20 hours to get the job done (13 hours with 2 men and 7 hours with 4 men, two men were sent at 10pm to finish the job on the day which the former 2 were tasked to do in a max of 9 hours) at a cost of $4732 (more than 3 times the original cost, and 4 times the original time, quoted)!

What went wrong?

1. The 4 men, though young, were totally exhausted working 20 + hours and hence totally inefficient in their work. They left at 5 am to go on their next job at 6am having spent 20+ hours on my job and having previously finished their job with another customer at 11pm the previous day (with the other two at 9pm same day)! How can men, even young, operate without sleep and food?

2. Whether consciously or unconsciously, the men applied the standard delaying tactics to increase chargeable hours - 1+ hours to get from loading to unloading destination (not more than 15 min apart), and coming up with blatant excuses - cannot get a park, got lost in the journey, blocked driveway, slow lifts, proper truck stacking... etc.

End result - frustrated customer conned into an estimate which turned out to be more expensive, and took 4+ times longer, than other fixed professional quotes. Plus a neighbourhood which were woken up in the middle of the night complaining about how such a move was allowed in such hours! One small positive - no missing items or significant breakages (hence the 1 star). Zero value for money (0 stars). Never again!
