Outstanding Service!

AAA Moving did such a great job on our move that I wanted to take time to write a review.  The price was very much a savings compared to the other quotes I had obtained. I liked that everything needed was in an all inclusive package (we choose to have packing services performed also). The team packed us up within a few hours, and before I knew it, the house was empty and we were ready to head over to our new house. There was no extra charge for a stop along the way to our storage, so that a big plus with us (other movers were saying like $100 extra for the stop). The delivery and set up in the new place was a breeze. They assembled all the furniture back together, and placed the boxes in the rooms marked. They just did an all around outstanding job. I would use this company again. .

Terrible Moving Experience!

This was the worst move I've ever experienced and paid well over $7,000 for (I was moving a little over an hour away)!

I had them store my stuff in their warehouse for 9 days since our new house wasn't completed on time; they guaranteed me that everything would stay together and nothing would be lost. That wasn't the case.. they lost a queen size mattress that they delivered the next day, the corner to my L-shaped desk which they never found, and 2 ladders that did turn up later.

I had them do all my packing, that was a big mistake and lots of extra cost. They ran out of packing materials (no surprise since they over-wrapped things that didn't require that much attention and took us forever to unwrap) and wrapped some kitchen items with my sweaters, some of which were expensive, then they had to come back the next day to finish the packing and again ran short of packing materials, so things were just thrown into their "U-Haul" truck like garbage. One of their workers got injured due to their negligence, and had to go to the hospital, so my husband, my neighbor, and myself had to finish loading the truck (we're 70 years old!).

So many items arrived damaged beyond belief: mirrors, serving pieces, hand-painted wine glasses, new washer & dryer, a curio cabinet, picture frames, chairs, modern sculpture, some china that was my mother's, entertainment center, and the list goes on. I went over this with Sophia, who I think is the owner, who said I could place a claim; however, they pay 60 cents per pound and I'd need to have receipts, weights, pictures of everything damaged, where and when they were bought, etc..

I chose to settle on just getting the few items, that were more easily replaceable, fixed or replaced. I sent pictures of just 4 items: the mirrored headboard to my king-sized bed, the mirror that goes into an entertainment center, the top portion only of the washer & dryer (so they wouldn't have to replace the entire units), and the damaged curio cabinet. I thought this was more than fair considering how much was destroyed.

I researched and sent them the best prices I could find on replacing or fixing these items, which came to about $1000; they would only offer $350. I accepted this offer since my husband felt we had spent way too much time, effort, and aggravation on this whole ordeal, but I did so with the intent of posting this review.

Spare yourself the nightmare that I went through with this company.. use another mover!

Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to Fort Collins, CO

Nightmare - overcharged, late delivery, wedding rings stolen.

Tldr: Overcharged (eventually negotiated down, but not to original quote price), late delivery, wedding rings stolen.

I chose AAA because their quote was $200 less than all the other quotes I received. I wish I had gone with a different company because by the end of it, they tried to charge me over $200 more, their delivery was 5 days late, plus one of their guys stole my wedding rings from their ring box.

They charged more because my furniture took up more room than expected BUT I sent them a list with the EXACT measurements of my furniture, so they should have calculated my quote better. Also, when the movers arrived to pick up my stuff, they looked at everything and assured me that it would all fit, plus more. I said if there was extra room at the end, there were a few small things I'd like taken - but only if it fit into my quoted volume. They were so confident that they loaded the optional stuff first and then when my other stuff wouldn't fit, they said it wouldn't have mattered if they had brought the optional things or not, because they could have just placed the optional things on top. So they didn't remove anything from the truck. I was willing to pay the extra fee, until I started to feel the experience I received wasn't worth it - see below. I complained with them (repeatedly) and they agreed to void my $150 staircase fees, which I feel does NOT make up for it so I've launched a BBB complaint as well.

I told them my first delivery date (Aug 11). When that date was approaching, I contacted them because I hadn't heard anything. The manager said that they hadn't sent my stuff yet because the first available date wasn't listed, that I needed to provide that. They realized their mistake and once it was settled, my stuff was only 5 days late (so 19 days total with no bed) - but it was an extra week or 2 of sleeping on the floor when I was expecting it to arrive (because they assured me it would) well within their 14 day estimate.
To top it off, it was a different company which delivered the furniture to me and they charged me $100 cash to unload it - a "long carry" fee because they felt they couldn't fit their truck any closer (it looked to me like they could, but I'm not sure - they didn't try). According to AAA, the long-carry fee should have been $75 but, as I said, this was a different company. In any case, that's $150 for the refunded stair fees, minus $100 for the long carry, so I really only got back $50 on top of the over $200 added to my quote..

Now for my wedding rings. On pickup, I had removed everything from my vanity and placed it in a pile on the floor, out of the way of the work area. Now I realize I should have locked it up somewhere, but I didn't expect that someone would open my ring box and swipe my rings from it. But they did. There were 2 ring boxes, one for my wedding set, and one with my husband's high school class ring (luckily he was wearing his wedding ring). After they left, I opened my ring box and saw that they were missing. I know I had placed them in there the night before. And my husband's class ring - which is literally worth nothing - was also gone confirming our suspicions. I am 100% sure that they were stolen. There is literally no other explanation. Dallas PD hasn't contacted me back about the investigation and it's too late now. I'm sure they've been sold.

This move was a nightmare for us. I can't believe I had to pay these people money for this.

Do not hire!!

Worst mistake we ever made was hiring AAA moving and storage. Half of our stuff was never delivered ( our electronics including all TVs) the company was not sure if it was stolen or delivered to the wrong house. They have made no attempts to make this right!!

The other half came badly damaged!! They held themselves out as a certified piano mover and were charged more for this service and the piano was greatly damaged!!

We should have hired a more reputable moving company!!

Extortion , rude, bad service in every angle.

Look at the email posted below. Judge for yourself if this is extortion and threatening I . This is from Sophia. They gave me an initial quote then they changed it adding 1500.00 more, then changed the date, then came 2 hours late. then acted like its my fault .Decided to get the enforcement agencies involved because I can not allow this to happen to anyone else.

If you would like to continue to argue with me, I can happily add the $100 fee for storage as well?

No actually, you are paying for 5 hours + $100 for storage now.

So you owe $327.40 cents to me on Monday before I release your items.

Excellent Movers, Great price.

AAA came thru for us when our other movers bailed out in us last minute the night before. I received a great price and they had availability to get our load picked up with short notice. Im happy to report all went well. We received our delivery yesterday and everything looks good. I want to thank Sophia and Mike for making the move an easy and affordable process. These guys are definitely good movers!

Terrible Moving Company.

We had several damaged and missing items that totaled in value several thousands of dollars. We had damaged couches, shattered tables, missing electronics etc. They disassembled furniture and lost pieces so that much of it could not be reassembled. They refused to reassemble furniture as a service that was supposed to be part of the scope of work. They used movers that actually demanded a tip after doing a terrible job moving our furniture into the house and were threatening towards my wife about it. The driver insisted on payment and left without providing us any of the paperwork we needed to track our inventory of items. They offered $150.00 to us for for compensation. We refused and decided to go through the full claim process thinking it would be a fair or at least impartial only to find out that the system is basically rigged in favor of the moving company. We ended up getting $70.00 for it. I've worked my butt off doing self moves in the past and thought , never again will I do that, but I honestly regret using this company's service so much, I don't think I could ever trust another moving company again because of how bad this moving experience was. The people this company hires to do your move are not actual professional movers, they are just hired hands who don't care about professionalism or doing the right thing. They just want to collect your money and leave you as quickly as possible. They don't care about quality of work and this moving company doesn't care either, especially after they've already taken your money, valuables, and initial trust.

One of the Worst mistakes we've ever made!

One of the Worst mistakes we've ever made! I wish I could give them negative stars, they're not worthy of one star. Extremely unprofessional salespersons, crew, drivers, and owner! (because yes we talked her.) Stuff missing. Stuff broken. We gave them a complete inventory list, yet they more than doubled the price of the contract. They agreed to store our stuff until we arrived, then lied and said we gave them the okay to deliver. Had to unload the entire truck into a storage building because we weren't ready. Which cost us even more money..They're lying thieves. Don't make the same mistake we did.

Interstate Moving Experience with AAA.

I hired AAA for a moved from Dallas to Miami. The salesperson, Jason, was always very courteous and responsive (more on that in a bit). I was moving to my new apt. complex in Miami on 3/1. They picked up my stuff on 2/21, a full week before my moving date because Jason told me the earlier they picked up my stuff the higher the likelihood it would get there by 3/1.
Long story short, my stuff got here on 3/12 (-1 one star), which I can someone understand, but in the meantime, they were very unresponsive. I was the one that was always calling to check in and Jason blocked my phone number.
None of my stuff was damaged/broken, so I applaud them for that, but my other problem was that they promised to assemble my furniture once they got here, which they did not. The movers claimed it was because they had to carry the stuff further than originally agreed (which was true) but I offered to move it myself to my apartment so they could assemble it, but still they refused.
I think these guys are brokers (not movers themselves) who work with other companies to get shipments moved across the country, rather than doing it themselves.
I ended up paying $1245 instead of the $999 quoted. They said it was because I went over my cubic feet allocation, but they never actually measured it (all items listed on the quote were the ones I sent).
This was my first time moving so I probably had some unrealistic expectations, but I still believe this company can do a much, much better job. AAA's quote was also the cheapest one I got, so there's also that.
Moving forward I'll probably just rent a Uhaul if/when I move again. It might be more physical work, but that's preferable over the stress of not knowing where your stuff is/when you're going to get it.

Moved from Oklahoma to California.

If I could give them a negative 5 stars, that's what I would give them. Do not use this company. They charge over what the initial contract states because of fine wording that the customer does not understand. Then do not deliver your belongings on time and hold your belongings until you pay them the unknown extra amount they charge. Belongings are broken an missing. And trust me, after the initial contract and paying the down payment, you cannot get a hold of original person you made the deal with.
