Montway Auto Transport

I used the uShip website/Application to ship a brand new compact vehicle from Boston to San Francisco. The original pickup/dispatch date was 12/28/2015 indicated by Montway and Uship. The car did not get picked up until 1/11/2015 off the dealership lot. I been waiting over 2 weeks after the car finally was picked up and shipped, with the original delivery date between the 23rd and at the latest the 26th of January the same month. When asked about the the status of the vehicle on multiple calls I have placed to this company's customer service on when I should expect delivery, I get the repetitive response "Should be there today or tomorrow". I still have not received my car from the time of this review, and it seems this company doesn't really care to escalate nor find out where you property is. The company uses a third party to ship your items, which seems strange I guess to a consumer since I am using a third party tool (uShip) to get a company that can ship items who then in turn uses another company to ship.

I would use Montway Auto Transport again in the future. Unlike other companies I tried to use in the past, when I called Montway for a price quote, there were no gimmicks, no bidding involved, which was a relief!

Paul, the SK Trucking driver wanted to pick up my car 2 days earlier than the date Montway Auto Transport promised, but he was fine to wait on me to release my car 1 day earlier. Since his truck arrived at the delivery destination a few days earlier than the promised date, my car was safely stored in his enclosed truck until I arrived in Florida! He delivered my car in the same shape and condition as when it was picked up.

I highly recommend Montway Auto Transport and SK Trucking Company. You'll have peace of mind when you use them, especially if you have a high-end vehicle!

Do not ever use Montway for auto transport. They sub out jobs to anyone on the street and you will suffer due to this. I lost 1.5 days of work due to the truckers lying about when the vehicle would be delivered. They rarely answered texts, never answered their phones. Montway does not stand behind their word. They never compensated me for the loss of 1.5 days of work lost- no a $50 gift card will not cut it. Spend more and go with a reputable company like Reliable. A vehicle I had transported from WA to PA (with Reliable) was a much easier deal than a vehicle from IN to PA- go figure. Don't go with the cheap guys- you get what you pay for.

I did my homework before I engaged Montway. I got quotes from 13 different moving companies for prices that ranged from 825 dollars all the way up to 1600 dollars! I went through all customer reviews and narrowed it down to 3 companies. I picked Montway because they had an excellent Chat service on a Sunday. The rest of them were not available when I called them or did not have chat service. In any case, I was very pleased. They always had someone on the chat to answer my questions. The truck drivers were great. The car was delivered on time as promised. It was delivered in excellent condition. I am very happy with Montway. Their price by the way was not in the low end but all three companies I picked as the top contenders for the job asked more or less for the same price (1040, 1050, etc.).

I have to admit I was hesitant of shipping my car for my cross country relocation. I was worried about theft, damage, vandalism..
The personnel who helped make the reservations assured me that this process was seamless..and it was. They helped me find the right day to ship my car, and 10 days later there is was, delivered right to me! The car was mint, just like when I shipped it and everything was exactly what Montway said it would be. Very happy and would recommend again.

Excellent service. Some things are just important to me and communication is one. I was able to receive communications from the driver regarding his location and estimated delivery time. He was professional and courteous and suggested that I contact the company if I had any concerns or wanted to know his location during the week. I was extremely nervous about shipping my car and I will definitely use their services again and would recommend. Price was great as well. I didn't go with a cheaper service as I really felt a connection from the first time I conversed with MONTWAY.

Montway did a great and quick job setting up my transport. Driver was very courteous and friendly. Montway kept me advised of all the steps, the contracted driver called and let me know his progress so we could make sure we were available when he came into town. Very competitive prices. Contract company Montway used was Mapletree Transportation and the driver was Robert Smith. Like I said, Robert was incredibly courteous and friendly, along with his wife. Our 1947 Chevy street rod arrived safely and sound, even when I optioned on open transport instead of enclosed. I would not hesitate to use either company again for my transport needs, and would recommend them to friends.

I used Montway Auto Transport to arrange vehicle shipment from a dealership in Houston TX to Los Angeles CA. The quoting and dispatch process needs work, but the delivery and transport process went smoothly due to the communication from the assigned driver.

I made the reservation over the phone with a Montway rep who contacted me after I made an online quote. The Montway rep told me I could lock in a lower price by paying a deposit and the rest in cash to the driver. However they could only do this by placing my order reservation over the phone but assured me the deposit of $199 would not be charged until I confirm my pickup date (I was still negotiating with the dealership so I did not have a firm date). However they asked for my card number and a preliminary pickup date anyway. I insisted that they do not charge my card the $199 deposit until I was sure I was buying the car and the dealership confirmed a pickup date. The Montway rep said not to worry.

A few days later, my car ends up being charged $305 (more than the deposit quoted by the rep) and a notification that a dispatcher was on the way without me having confirmed the pickup date. Due to ongoing negotiation with the dealership, the car would not be ready for pickup on that date so I had to frantically call Montway to try to reschedule the pickup. After cancelling the initial dispatch, it took another 3 days for Montway to find another available dispatch to pick up the vehicle.

However, once dispatched, the car transport was handled excellently by the company sent to pick up the vehicle. The driver was in contact with me and ended up delivering the car earlier than I expected. The car was in an enclosed trailer, but was still wet/dirty when it arrived but no damage.

Despite the dispatch issues and miscommunication on the deposit/pickup date arrangements, I would use Montway again for their competitive prices.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Made reservations on March 7th, 2016. Target Delivery date: March 28th, FL to NY. Called Montway at least three times between 7-21 March and explained that the car was going to my son in WEST POINT and because of his full schedule, it was important for car to be there on the 28th as he made plans for pick up already. Montway assured that there was no issues with the request. Got a call from driver (carrier) on March 22nd and made plans for pick up on March 24th. Explained to driver the importance of delivering by March 28 due to son full schedule. Driver said no problem. Talked to driver 3 times on the 24th where he stated that he was going to be at my place at 6:00 pm. At 5:50 (10 minutes prior to pick up) driver calls to let me know that he can not pick up my car, because he allowed his last car owner (his neighbor) to put extra items in the car, making the truck to be overweight. ARE you SERIOUS? Because of Montway's poor and unacceptable service I end up paying more money for another company to deliver the car.

I was pleased to hear pickup was smooth from my parents home in California. My driver kept me in the loop for all dates and times. He was very polite. He told me he'd be able to meet me between 8am-10am Sunday for drop off but I'd need to meet him because it is hard to reach my area of Pittsburgh. I understood and chose a location outside the city (9 miles away). After waiting for an hour he calls and tells me he's unable to meet me due to road closures and has me drive another 5 miles out to meet him on the side of the freeway. Now almost noon, I had to walk on the side of the freeway to have my car unloaded on the shoulder. I understand door-to-door is sometimes not possible, but I was very dissatisfied with having to track him down for drop off.

I looked all over before settling with Montway and looked at reviews and I am so glad this is who I chose. Very polite from the start, there were no stupid questions which made it nice for me and very accommodating. Very quick call back and quick delivery, driver was super nice.
I would deffinately use them again.
I had a truck that was super important to me and the Trany didn't work so I was very concerned about the loading and traveling etc.. Everyone made me very comfortable and truck got there in one piece in great shape.
There was constant contact with myself and other person on the other end.
Price was a tad higher than some people who quoted me but it was well worth it in the end to have the quality transport and peace of mind that I got.

I have driven cross country 6 times. I did not feel like making it a 7th. I don't trust people, but my driver ken was top notch. He gave me updates: called and texted. Communicated very well and picked my vehicle up on my first available date. The car had some dust on it, but a quick wash will do the trick. No dents. No dings. I am very particular about my car's condition. I will absolutely request ken again! He was efficient and precise (when I watched him pull the truck off the trailer). I could not be more pleased and I am glad I didn't try and save $70 to go with a company I couldn't learn much about. Thanks ken!

My experience was very good using Montway. They called and informed me the first trucker they found claimed that large trucks were unable to get to the pickup location. That was a false statement, and the Montway representative agreed with me when I told him that. Two days later they found another trucker, Nathan, and he was great. Nathan called several time in the 4 days he had my car to let me know where they were and when they expected to arrive. Other than the tremendous amount of dirt that was coating my car the transport went better than I expected. Just allow a lot of time to clean your car if you put it on an open transport.
