Failure to issue refund and ghastly customer service
Arranged for a shipment back in July for transport of my camper van from Canada to the US. I paid in full around 7/27 as a wire transfer. I had to put the van in the repair shop to address some issues with what I believed was the fuel pump. I was called a week later to see when I wanted to schedule and said I needed to contact the garage for an update. The van turns out to be in need of a new engine and with the value of the van, I chose to not ship as the shipping was more than the value of the van plus repairs. I sent a cancellation notice to the company in writing, sent bank account information (keep in mind that they had my address and all contact information for shipping) and was told by the broker it would be end of the week. That was 8/5 and I am still awaiting a refund. For your information, they also take a 20% charge for giving the refund, even though the driver was not scheduled and they did absolutely nothing as of yet. I knew that was the contract so I wasn’t arguing for that, I simply want my 80% as that percentage of 9775 dollars is substantial. I have called 8/17, 8/19, and today 8/27. Each time I have called, I have been met with disregard and incompetence in addition to on 8/19 being told I had failed to provide the necessary information but give them 1-4 business days. Today when I called in obvious distress but still attempting to remain diplomatic, I was told that I was projecting (what?), accused of failing to do my part as the consumer (?), not being objective and repeatedly told that they were not going to ‘argue with me.’ There is no argument, there is simply a customer who has been waiting for a refund for three weeks. Also supposedly they have a skeleton crew and I need to be ‘patient.’ I have been amply patient and now I am furious and seeking the help of my lawyer. Do not do business with these people. They must be running out of money and won’t have it to give back to you if you unfortunately have to cancel service. It’s not worth the headache so save yourself the time, money and cortisol.
We contracted with Fidelity to move our car two months ahead of time. They seemed to be on too of it. they even called us two weeks ahead of time they we had contracted with them and not to worry. On the day they were scheduled to pick up, I called and they changed the date to a day later. I continued to call as I was getting worried. No one returned my calls. I left messages on every number possible. I finally told them I was cancelling and notifying my credit card company due to their unresponsiveness. They called back Jan. 3rd. Said they could have some one there almost immediately. Their excuse was..it's a family business, they gave every one off - this was Dec. 30 - Jan. 3rd - as it was a holiday. Other carriers worked, I got one of those and was much happier. Another lesson fromfrom the school of hardknocks. Do NOT call Fidelity under any reason.
I was very satisfied with the service. My car was picked up and delivered quickly. My car was shipped from Georgia to California. The contacted me throughout the shipping process with updates, very knowledge and professional. highly recommended.
Bullies on board here. Total waste of time, money and peace of mind
F I could give less than 1 Star to your service, I would.
These people are the most unprofessional, Irresponsible, and inept providers in the entire United States I can find. I learned my lesson the hard way by choosing your service, the new vehicle is destroyed by these guys deliberately as an act of revenge.
Don't waste your money, time, resource, and most of all your piece of mind by choosing these guys.
Very irresponsible and absolutely crap level service. I have never seen any service provider this incompetent; their representative Barbara would never answer your calls for days after you pay the money, her interest is only up to taking our money. Their manager would call to threaten us, he bullied us and tortured us. The emotional trauma and stress are unimaginable.
These guys went beyond their limits to destroy the vehicle on purpose while it seems they found it joyful and had the audacity to take all the extra money. Both vehicles are beyond imagination, Antenna has ripped apart, the side doors have scratches visible to naked eyes. A portion of the rooftop is ripped and has dent wounds as if someone tried to poke it with metal objects. and it was evident that somebody made their best effort to destroy the vehicle on purpose.
We have documented the vehicle state before handing it over and have the videos and photos before and while loading it onto the vehicle for hauling. The truck is a 2020 model, well preserved, owned, and driven by a woman. it took these knuckleheads a few days to destroy it. 2 days ago the vehicles came in an unacceptable state. We refused to take the delivery unless fixed and compensated or signed the papers when we tried to reach them multiple times. None of them would respond to any of the calls/voicemails/email/or messages. I am not surprised, that's what con artists would do. These guys should be ashamed of themselves for living a pitiful life with the money they earn by cheating people. I don't know how these guys are in the business.
They never answered our call but answered the driver's call and instructed them to drop the vehicles anywhere. He said, he has the instructions from Fidelity auto shipping to drop them wherever he pleases to do so and the company wouldn’t care. He might have done it too. He said every word knowing he was on camera and we recorded every single word and conversation with his consent.
He further added that the vehicle damages look like it has been done with deliberate efforts. This shows how irresponsible these guys are and their level of inexperience and incompetence in service. Our Son wrote a review about them and they bumped the charges by $450-00 as it was not in their favor.
Its been 6 additional days after this incident and none from this irresponsible group has even tried to reach us. Neither they deliver the vehicles to us with proper records. They are disconnecting all outcalls as soon as they see our numbers on their caller ID.
They collected $8100.00 USD for the shipping and customs clearance and import charges. Our vehicle VIN number starts with 1 and import charges shouldn’t apply to us. Even if they do we should be provided with a copy of the importation document and payment done so we can register our vehicle legally. None is provided nor do we have our vehicles rightfully delivered.
Luckily, we informed every single person who spoke to us over the phone (and bullied) before the call that they are on record and recorded all the phone communications we had, even the way their manager bullied us. These contribute to be solid evidence as per our lawyer. I had enough of this crap that I am now prepared to fight the legal battle. these guys destroyed my vehicles worth 80+K, I wouldn't mind dragging them to a place wherever you deserve, to get the justice I deserve.
I did recommend a few friends back in Nov 2020 who are in the process of relocation from Calgary to Different Cities in the United States, I have told everyone about these incompetent services and each one of these 13 families is in search of a new provider. I recommend saving your money and peace of mind and your vehicles. I would strongly suggest you search for other options than wasting time money and your resources by going with these guys.
Just want to thank Eddie and his staff for providing me with a great service transporting my vehicle from Toronto to Miami. Everything went smooth, and I look forward to sending it back up in April. Will definitely reccommend you to my friends and family.
This company isn’t trustworthy. They’re just liars. Don’t trust them. They kept me waiting for the dispatch the whole day for no pay. Even though they promised to pay, they can’t stand for their own words. I’m warning you that you might regret working with them as I did.
