Zip Moving and Storage

Zip Movers treated my elderly parents terribly.

1. Move took 12 hours instead of original quoted 7 hours and revised 10 hours. Movers did not move expediently

2. brought 4 large items that were labeled do not move. Had to pay to have hauled away

3. Left 2 critical items electric wheelchair and file cabinet that were to be moved. 75 year old mother had to arrange to fix.

4. left refrigerator because water was attached. But then took off handles and threw away hardware. Had to pay $200 to have moved and trying to order new hardware.

5. Packed a tall box with fishing gear. Then shoved 5 additional boxed items in with them. Pictures sent.

6. Put several upstairs boxes which were labeled in basement and many basement boxes upstairs. Impossible for elderly to move.

7. Took apart lift chair.reassembled as promised but it works sporadically.

Move cost over $3000 plus numerous costs to correct their issues. In answer to these issues, Zip offered $140 'in good faith'.

We hired Colonial Van Lines and were unaware our job would be sub-contracted to Zip Moving and Storage. Zip was late to pickup, expected Feb 6th, arrived late afternoon Feb 7th, had to go over into almost all day Feb 8th. Several things needed to be rescheduled by owner as a result of movers schedule not adhering to our agreed upon timeline. Damages to our house during move. Delivery of Feb 10th pushed to Feb 11th. Missing furniture, never made it. Some damaged items, expensive to replace, but may not be expensive enough to meet insurance deductible. Furniture assembled in haste, later identified by owner posing safety concern with young children, compromising integrity and longevity of furniture, and so had to be re-assembled by owner right away. Wasteful packing, used some 20+ "mirror" boxes to secure my bookcase, citing standard industry requirements. These special boxes charged at premium prices to owner. Shoddy effort, expensive, not worth it.

I've had a wonderful experience with Zip moving and storage from start to finish. The people I spoke to on the phone were kind and patient and courteous. They made sure I was updated on the information and helped cater to my needs. The movers at pickup and delivery were exceptional. Skilled and so nice and generous. They went above and beyond their responsibility, all with a smile. I did a lot of research before I selected Zip and I'm so glad I did. Would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them.

One word: LIFESAVERS. I have had terrible experiences in the past dealing with moving companies and moving in general, but Zip Moving and Storage defied all odds and by far exceeded my expectations! They were able to accommodate me and my moving needs quickly, after needing to move last minute. I am so grateful. They were very clean and organized, and they didn't waste any of my time. NO damages, NO tears, NO anything. It was surprisingly affordable, and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! If I had to move again, I know who would be my first call. Thank you for being so nice and patient, and thank you for making my move as easy as it can possibly get.

My wife and I used Zip Moving and Storage in April of 2018 and had an amazing experience. From the booking process to the day of, they were kind, courteous, and professional. The team at Zip took great care in making sure all of our items were well wrapped and protected, and were incredibly efficient with the packing up and the delivery. I would 100% recommend this team for anyone looking for prompt, professional, and courteous movers. I will be using them again in the future! Thank you Zip!
