These are the best movers, I cannot even begin to tell you how awesome they are. There were so courteous and professional, would not hesitate to use them again. The crew they sent me, I believe Louis and his guys were just so great, and patient with me. We moved 50 years of marriage and family from North Carolina and put it in storage till we closed on our house, they moved everything as if it belonged to them, was on time the day of and did not quit till the last item was where I wanted it. Thank you Zip, your great movers.

I had the best experience with Zip Moving and Storage! Not only were the moving coordinators prompt and efficient, they were also pleasant and eager to plan out my move. The customer service I experienced was overall amazing.

Jump to move day. I had the pleasure of working with Jeffrey and Milo. They were prompt, communicative, polite, and so so helpful. They wrapped all my fragile items with care and they were so fast. They had to move all of my things (many heavy) up to the 3rd floor and they did it with efficiency and a positive attitude. Not one complaint, just smiling faces! They also helped put some of my furniture back together. I am just wowed by this experience. I highly highly recommend this company!

I can't wait to use them in my next move but I promise it will be a building with elevators. Thank you so much Jeffrey and Milo!

My son moved from Germantown Maryland to Herndon Virginia for a new job. Zips sent 3 marvelous young men for the move. They were pleasant and efficient from start to finish. Moving is stressful but these 3 made almost enjoyable. I would highly recommend Nikki in the office is a pleasure to work with also. Start to finish they really were wonderful. I have been in customer service for 34 years before I retired and people are quick to criticize. No one can criticize Zips and their personnel

Zip movers showed up when they said they would be there. There were 4 guys and they worked non stop and completed the move in 4 hours from start to finish. I have moved several times and never had such excellent service. They remember what room they took stuff from and put it in the correct room. They were so very nice and helpful. I couldn't have a better experience. There was absolutely no damage to any thing. The price was very reasonable and they give a discount for paying in cash. I would strongly recommend them. They made the move enjoyable and moving is no fun.

We had a very good experience with this move. We did a virtual survey and very good communication before the move. The broker was very pleasant and efficient. The price was competitive in comparison to other quotations. The truck arrived on time. The guys working on the job were extremely courteous, good humored and hardworking right to the end of the job. They were very careful handling everything and we had no damage done to anything. Overall, I would highly recommend Zip Moving and Storage.

The people at Zip were amazing. The process of arranging the move was pretty easy, with lots of communication during the process. But the crew that handled the move was truly incredible. First off, the same crew that did the packing also did the moving. My SO recently completed a move with another company, and while that company did a very good job moving his items there were a few problems that popped up specifically because of having different packers & movers, and a lack of communication between them. No such issues with Zip. The packing was awesome - I could not believe how fast they worked even as they had to carefully pack numerous heirloom items - a grandfather clock, some glass display cases, some antique furniture, as well as a lot of china, crystal and glass items. They understood and took to heart my request to please take care of the irreplaceable grandfather's clock. They moved everything across the state, and watching them load and unload the truck, I can say I don't recall ever seeing anyone work harder than that team did. They put everything where we directed them, moved a few things around for us, and generally went out of their way to make us feel comfortable during what was a stressful situation for me. Of course, every move has its share of glitches, but the only one that cropped up was when the weights for the grandfather clock got separated from the clock and pendulum. Well, the foreman for the crew, Milo, told us "We will open every box if we have to, we will find them." But this may be where having the same packers and movers was such a big deal - I believe the gentleman who packed the clock knew what he was looking for and where it was, and they found them in very short order, literally in just a few minutes. They were carefully fitted to the clock, I wound and set it, and it has been keeping perfect time since. I would in a heartbeat recommend Zip to anyone looking to make a move.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6100

Zip Movers treated my elderly parents terribly.

1. Move took 12 hours instead of original quoted 7 hours and revised 10 hours. Movers did not move expediently

2. brought 4 large items that were labeled do not move. Had to pay to have hauled away

3. Left 2 critical items electric wheelchair and file cabinet that were to be moved. 75 year old mother had to arrange to fix.

4. left refrigerator because water was attached. But then took off handles and threw away hardware. Had to pay $200 to have moved and trying to order new hardware.

5. Packed a tall box with fishing gear. Then shoved 5 additional boxed items in with them. Pictures sent.

6. Put several upstairs boxes which were labeled in basement and many basement boxes upstairs. Impossible for elderly to move.

7. Took apart lift chair.reassembled as promised but it works sporadically.

Move cost over $3000 plus numerous costs to correct their issues. In answer to these issues, Zip offered $140 'in good faith'.

We hired Colonial Van Lines and were unaware our job would be sub-contracted to Zip Moving and Storage. Zip was late to pickup, expected Feb 6th, arrived late afternoon Feb 7th, had to go over into almost all day Feb 8th. Several things needed to be rescheduled by owner as a result of movers schedule not adhering to our agreed upon timeline. Damages to our house during move. Delivery of Feb 10th pushed to Feb 11th. Missing furniture, never made it. Some damaged items, expensive to replace, but may not be expensive enough to meet insurance deductible. Furniture assembled in haste, later identified by owner posing safety concern with young children, compromising integrity and longevity of furniture, and so had to be re-assembled by owner right away. Wasteful packing, used some 20+ "mirror" boxes to secure my bookcase, citing standard industry requirements. These special boxes charged at premium prices to owner. Shoddy effort, expensive, not worth it.

One word: LIFESAVERS. I have had terrible experiences in the past dealing with moving companies and moving in general, but Zip Moving and Storage defied all odds and by far exceeded my expectations! They were able to accommodate me and my moving needs quickly, after needing to move last minute. I am so grateful. They were very clean and organized, and they didn't waste any of my time. NO damages, NO tears, NO anything. It was surprisingly affordable, and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! If I had to move again, I know who would be my first call. Thank you for being so nice and patient, and thank you for making my move as easy as it can possibly get.

My wife and I used Zip Moving and Storage in April of 2018 and had an amazing experience. From the booking process to the day of, they were kind, courteous, and professional. The team at Zip took great care in making sure all of our items were well wrapped and protected, and were incredibly efficient with the packing up and the delivery. I've had a wonderful experience with Zip moving and storage from start to finish. The people I spoke to on the phone were kind and patient and courteous. They made sure I was updated on the information and helped cater to my needs. The movers at pickup and delivery were exceptional. Skilled and so nice and generous. They went above and beyond their responsibility, all with a smile. I did a lot of research before I selected Zip and I'm so glad I did. Would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them.
