Long-distance move from New Jersey to Connecticut

The workers involvement was excellent.

We moved from New Jersey. We lived there for about eight years. There were so many things to be moved with us. Besides of table, chairs or bed we had a piano, a big book shelf and some large and several small fragile furniture those needed intensive care. They were the perfectionist. The workers, sent from Xtreme, involved in the job efficiently. Even at time of delivery, their team members placed my entire furniture where we wanted to. Their delivery time was not exceeded than what was in quotation. It may need for me to move again within a year. I will definitely be going to hire them again. .

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Ohio

Polite and hard working.

I was extremely pleased with the service from Xtreme movers. Though there were many companies to move with, but this mover suits the best of our demand. Their driver was time conscious. He arrived exactly on time to pick our household goods. Along with him other three persons came to help. They were polite and hard working. I received all furniture as I handed over them. No missing at all. That was enough for me that I received my furniture intact and timely. They were courteous to treat us from the beginning to end. I was satisfied on their work and would use them again. .

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Iowa

Xtreme made me satisfied.

The mover could not have been more amusing and professional as I found. The hard workers arrived at least ten minutes early than their schedule. They managed to pack my big furniture and put into boxes in a complete meticulous way. I had some electronics instruments which they took apart and they put it back at the time of delivery. They seemed well trained in organizing each household item. In addition to that they were careful so that no item got missed. I was completely satisfied. I don’t know why people think moving is a disgusting matter. If you could find any mover like Xtreme, you don’t have to think any more.  .

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to California

Dishonest movers who empty your pockets and break your belongings!

STAY AWAY! These guys are crooks. We booked them and they never showed for our cross COUNTRY move. Their response after 3 hours of phone tag. " We'll give you $100 for the inconvenience and you can go book another mover."  Yeah..you think we were getting another mover in the middle of summer at the last minute ACROSS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY! Not for less than double the price we bid.Of course we had little options at that point and they said if we brought our stuff to their warehouse they would discount our price. So we did since we were on the last day of our lease the next day. They ended up switching our bid to cubic feet instead of lbs which was what we specifically asked for. It cost us over $600 in truck rental fees plus gas to drive 2 hours to them and back, plus 4 hours of moving time and they only discounted us $560. And our bid increased from $3400 to $4900!! Then to deliver was another joke. They said 3 days for a truck that does a straight shot to CA. Well after 3 days they said 7 to 8. On day 7 they said by the weekend for sure (another 2 days. Then on Sunday they said most likely Tuesday. THen they said 11-2pm on TUesday. Truck came at 11PM on tuesday and they were there until 2AM!! And our 12 piece china set dropped to an 8 piece set, vases and other glass ware broken. Cribs, dresser, table chair, shelves all scratched gouged and broken.    These guys are awful. It was the worse moving experience we've ever had. And we've moved a lot! So keep your money. Sell what you don't need and move yourself. Or if you honestly have nice belongings you love just pay the extra $1k to Allied or Mayflower and know that they actually will show.   We're realistic, understanding people. And these guys pushed us to the limit. We'll be filing reports to the BBB and other such companies soon! .

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Alabama

Moved successfully.

It was a great moving experience with Extreme movers. I used them for the second times and on total it was my 4th move throughout my life. They conducted a super performance; they had great confidence, punctuality as usually. Had a great contact with their office clients service team too. I called them at 9:00 am and then they called back at 10:30 am in morning and they confirmed that 3 expert guys would come at 11:30 am. I describe almost everything about movable items. Well, they fulfilled their promise and started packing at just time and finished all works timely. I had to move from New Jersey to Alabama. They really went above to make the move successful.

Long-distance move from New York to New Mexico

XTremely UPSET! Xtremely DISSAPOINTED! Xtremely STOOD UP!

I booked my move with Xtreme four months in advance and put down nearly $1800 on a $6900.00 cross county move. As a disabled Veteran, I was unable to move myself and relied on Xtreme to relocate my family and me from Buffalo New York to Albuquerque New Mexico. --- FIVE DAYS BEFORE THE MOVE; XTREME CANCELLED!! They gave me neither excuse nor explanation other than their ‘truck had an issue.’ Xtreme offered no ‘back up plan’ or alternative date; they simply offered to refund my deposit. The thing that bothered me was that I had called Xtreme just 10 days earlier to ensure everything was 'good to go' and according to plan. --- Marsha my representative ensured me everything was "fine and on schedule" --- After a few days, they did refund my money but I was forced to find another moving company with only 5 days notice. By then, expensive summer rates were in effect and because of the short notice and summer rates, the move would cost me over $12,000. I called my Xtreme representative numerous times hoping to get some answers and she didn’t return one call (although she called me repeatedly and daily when I was initially shopping for movers) --- Xtreme left my family and me high and dry. My belief is that Xtreme booked my move ‘hoping’ that another move would be returning from the same area. After four months of having my reservation booked, Xtreme was unable to schedule a returning truck and cancelled my move because the profit margin wasn’t favorable for Xtreme. Instead, an unemployed, disabled veteran, with a family to feed had to ‘eat’ the Xtreme costs of the move.  Thanks Xtreme; you suck!  .

Long-distance move from New York to Delaware

Correct excellent.

This company is a cut above in efficiency and integrity. The rep that I spoke to (Maggie) was so helpful, efficient, kind, and so sensitive to the fact that I was stressed. In this world, she is an angel. There aren't many lefts. The moving men called to say they were stuck in traffic and were delayed. The move was seamless. The price was more that fair. This company has a heart and soul and is evidenced in their employees. Thank you, Maggie!

Long-distance move from New Jersey to California

Extremely stressful and disappointing experience.

The sales person (Maggie) was professional sounding, but very little of what she said was true and important facts were omitted. Maggie said they cannot come to my one bedroom apartment to give an estimate, but promised to give a very solid quote based on her experience and the photos I sent to her. Once I made the down payment, I never dealt with Maggie again. She did not respond to calls or e-mail messages. Although Maggie pressured me hard to make a down payment and commit quickly so that my preferred pick-up date would be reserved, the company called to bump my move date more than a week in advance -- so nothing to do with weather or any events other than their own scheduling convenience. Within minutes of arriving at my apartment, the lead informed me I would definitely be over the estimate. In fact, the charge was $995.10 over the estimate and this was not about me having more major pieces than what was identified to Maggie or my furniture being of a larger than normal scale. At that point it became apparent my conversation with Maggie had zero to do with the estimate and that based on the movers’ behavior, delivering this sort of sobering news happens pretty routinely. The movers were fine. A couple members of the crew were professional packers -- the rest needed to be watched to make sure things were packed carefully. By the way, none of the information I had given Maggie concerning things that were particularly fragile was transmitted to the movers -- it's like my conversations with Maggie never happened. When I then called the company to express my frustration and disappointment I dealt with Nicky who dickered with me over a possible discount and finally offered to refund approximately 1/4th of the overcharge amount if I signed an agreement that absolved the company of all possible liability. I'll repeat -- I would have to have signed an agreement that absolved them of all liability BEFORE the delivery and, by the way, agreeing to keep the matter confidential. I refused. By this time, I was starting to fear I would never see my things again. I pressed for a delivery or at least a loading date and was told I would be informed once the stuff was actually loaded (so we'll tell you once it actually happens sort of response). At this point, I checked their web site and discovered another fact that was not part of Maggie's sales pitch -- the company reserves a very wide period of time for actual delivery. In fact my belongings were loaded a week after the pickup and arrived on the other coast late in the evening of the 13th day post-pickup, which worked out fine. I was worried through this entire process because another thing this company does differently is it does not provide an inventory of numbered items with description -- like other companies do. Anyhow, the guys that delivered were ok and everything did arrive with minimal damage.  So, in short, the move cost approximately one thousand dollars more than the price quoted and involved very significant stress and aggravation. I've moved many times and twice previously across the country and this was the worst experience I've ever had. And ironically, I had selected this company based on reviews --  .

Extremely Helpful.

I needed to move my items most of which were in a box because I am a writer. They came in advertised and took everything that I needed. When I got into my new apartment and checked, nothing was missing and I settled into my new life quietly. I have seen some difficulties before trying to do the right things but their services are the best among the rest and they are credible. Best moving and storage service.

Very Trustworthy!

I had a full-service moving package. I used them for storage purposes as well, and they were able to think ahead and house all my stuff. They are extremely professional and take care to protect your investments. They are very resourceful as a team. The movers have great problem-solving skills. I have a lot of clothes and books and everything was packed in under an hour. When I arrived at my new place everything was there and in the condition I left it in. I also liked how the movers were able to foresee any moving obstacles and fix them. They helped me set up my bed and table and being that I was moving by myself it was handy to have knowledgeable guys figure out general obstacles on their own.
