Stay away from these people! They are huge SCAMMERS and somehow they removed my last review but here it is again. Everything that was pitched to me was lies. The owner and sales rep #1 sales pitch to me was claiming they have multiple trucks and many miles on record with the DOT. This deceptive sales tactic sold me away from the competition but I was picked up in a rental truck and delivered by another company!! Not 1 truck of Xtreme "Movers". Many other real reviews on Consumer Affairs (the bad ones), talk about Xtreme "Movers" using other truck companies to pick up and deliver too. If they own 19 trucks and have millions of miles then why was I picked up in a rental and delivered by another company? They must be brokers and I do not know how they get away with this? I should have read the bad reviews before finalizing my decision and not cancelling before the scheduled move date but the owner and sales rep pitch was too good and I was suckered in.

The "owner" will tell you a price and make it sound like everything in your home will fit in the price range they gave you. I was quoted $2,000 for my move for 400 cubic square feet. Was told that 60 boxes fit, plus my queen size mattress and my dressers. This is the smallest space ever. I am now having to pay double for my move of $4,000. The company "owner" will make it sound like they do not scam people and will make you feel comfortable with choosing them. I’m literally fuming with anger and rage right now thinking about my experience.

Additionally, I was told that they disassemble all furniture. More Lies. They only disassemble the bed. My dresser, which is on the second floor does not fit down the stairs without haven’t to be taken apart. Had I known this, I would have taken it apart ahead of time. Yet, I was led to believe that they would do it all. Now the movers are telling me unless I take this apart by the time they are done with the rest of my boxes, that they will be unable to take my dresser. I was so angry the day of the move and called Xtreme but all I received was a very rude woman who said her name was Doris, screamed at me the entire time and said everything was my fault. I called the owner multiple times after that conversation but he acted as if he didn't know what was going on and couldn't help me. I wish I took pictures but that was the last thing on my mind when I was being told I had to pay double the amount of what I was quoted.

I AM A DISABLED VET that chose this moving company to my inability to move myself and they took full advantage of my disability. I live in a small apartment and it’s crazy to me that I am having to somehow pay close to $4,000 for my move when I was told $2,000. I would have done the move myself if I knew this was going to happen. I will be pursuing this complaint further than a review. I will contact the department of transportation, BBB, everywhere I have to so xtreme movers does not scam any more people and veterans. Take it from personal experience, stay away from these people. They are a complete nightmare after they take your deposit.

My move was a relocation from NY to Phoenix, AZ.

I have retained legal counsel and representation against these people - Shawn is a liar and manipulator from start to finish. So is his felow scammer, Brandon.

Doris and her crew of Billing Department Banshees routinely screamed at the the top of their lungs at me, threatened to have the truckdriver "turn around and hold my belongings" in New Jersey.

They crushed hundreds of my boxes, broke my venetian cut glass goblets and cordials.

They broke my toaster oven, bent my triple bottom pans, broke kitchen glass storage containers, stole one of my speakers, "misplaced" a part to one of my food processors,

Broke my laptops, and much more that I have no yet even been able to open and assess yet.

They claimed "white glove service" and to "do all of my packing". NOT.

They quoted me $3600.00 for my move. They extorted $9000.00 from me, AND broke much of my most valuable property.

If I had not packed 120 of my own before they arrived, I would have very little of anything in my hands now in Phoenix.

LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS PRIOR TO MINE. AVOID THESE THIEVES. THEY WILL HURT YOU.

Overall, we're not pleased with our experience w/Xtreme. A few "highs" and "lows" from the process:

PROS---
The sales representative, Stacy, was very friendly and responsive throughout the process. When we had questions, she'd quickly answer them or get us in touch with the appropriate party.

On the front end of the move, dispatch and our movers did a great job communicating arrival time, estimated job time, etc.

For move-out, the lead mover (Manny) and his team were very friendly and professional

CONS---
The original estimate/quote was wayyyyyy under what we ultimately paid (over $2-k difference). While I certainly cast some blame on my wife and me for not accounting for absolutely everything, I am convinced that we communicated the vast majority of our belongings during the original quote process. I think a big issue here is that big companies like Xtreme don't come to your residence in-person for the quoting process. We're very unhappy to the extent to which our final bill was raised.

Payment --- Xtreme only accepts cash or USPS money order upon delivery. No personal checks allowed. Are you SERIOUS?!? In our particular case, b/c we got such short notice of arrival time from the driver (again, terrible communication), and b/c of Saturday post office hours, we had to scramble to get it filled. Yes, I should have gotten it further in advance, but it's the 21st century, Xtreme. Figure out a way to make it way easier on your customers.

After our stuff was out of our hands, the communication from Xtreme was terrible. We were promised a call from the driver w/in two days of load-out and, despite us haggling them, we didn't hear from the driver until a week after the load-out. Totally fine if it usually takes a week, but Xtreme should not promise a 48-hr window if they can't make it happen. When trying to figure out timing for our own XC trip, this made things more difficult.

DAMAGED ITEMS --- Our nice LG TV and Peloton bike were significantly damaged during the move. The TV was clearly dropped on its side and heavy items must have been put on top of our bike at a bad angle. I took a look at the truck upon arrival and it looked like a scene out of "Hoarders"; fragile items were recklessly piled on top of each other.

Movers at end destination -- Not very professional. While they certainly worked hard for 5 hours, they CONSTANTLY complained about how much stuff we had, and how heavy it was. I couldn't believe how much one of them whined (it's your job, dude!!)..Furthermore, upon discovering our TV was damaged, he very quickly casted blame elsewhere and made no effort to apologize, help with next steps, etc.

CONCLUSION --- Xtreme did a few things right and were friendly enough, but I will not hire them again or recommend them to anyone. Shop elsewhere.
