The Meyer team is first rate in every way. This was my 3rd move in 9 years with the company - and, my mother has used them twice (with a third on the way). From Bill in Estimating to Kuba who led the crew - and did it with the highest level of professionalism - they are simply the best. Moving is difficult but William B. Meyer helped make it go smoothly. They were responsive to any question I had. Ian, the driver was helpful with the pack up in FL and the drop off in CT. Nothing was lost or damaged. They even helped me move some other furniture to complete the apartment. This is the 2nd time we have used them and I would recommend them to anyone. Mary, Debra, and Bill answered all emails and calls. Through Covid we were able to do a virtual walk through. Bill was honest to tell me about getting TV boxes from Home Depot as they are cheaper there. I was very apperceive and thankful.

What a fantastic experience that made my move painless! This was my first time paying for a full service move (compared to paying for x hours with x amount of helpers) and it was well worth it! By the end of the day we were buddies with the crew-they went above and beyond. We had some items here and there that we were going to transport ourselves but they took the initiative to make sure they got every item. Once we got to the new location they asked if they can help in positioning rugs before furniture, etc. Couldn't have been more pleased-thanks for making a painful day good.

We contacted William B. Meyer for a short notice move and they were able to perform an audit of the home quickly and professionally. Once scheduled, our coordinator walked us through the process the day before to get us setup. The team showed up at 8:00 am and started immediately. They were steady and highly efficient at packing our property. Within a few hours, all our items were packed and ready for transport. The entire process went extremely well, and William B. Meyer was great to work with. Would recommend their services to anyone. Great job!

I have moved several times and this is my second time using William B. Meyer. The first time was such an excellent experience that I thought I would use them again. And they didn't disappoint. They move was not easy - living in the upper west side on the fifth floor in a pre-war building as its challenges. But they navigated those challenges brilliantly and the move was low stress. Very professional and careful. You may pay a little more but you get what you pay for. I will only use William B. Meyer in the future.

This email is to show my intense gratitiude and praise of Frank Diaz along with his two coworkers Bob and Nick Kifer. The day after Tropical Storm Isasis I was scheduled to receive my furniture on August 6th in Norwalk. I could not have been blessed with a better bunch of guys especially Frank. I have always moved with United in my previous moves. They have always been good experiences but this one stands out due to the leadership of Frank. On a day with no power and trees and power lines down Frank was not fazed by it. My house is on a one lane road that turns into a cul de sac. Backing up the truck was a piece of cake for him. He was unable to access my driveway due to the trees and power lines. He had a big and friendly smile that put me at ease. The fact that they had to carry the furniture up an incline of the front yard was not an issue. Frank and the team did something I had not seen a previous United team do. He had the brothers put a moving blanket on the handrail to the upstairs so not to damage it. Even the toughest item to move, the treadmill didn't stop him. I asked for it to be put in the basement which made it a tough request. With patience and leadership from Frank they were able to do it. Friendly, confident and reliable sums up Frank. Never before I have written an email like this but due to my wonderful experience I had with Frank I felt his company needed to know who they have. United has a great hard working employee who deserves to be recognized. I plan not to move for a long time but if I have to in the near future I know who I would request. That person is Frank Diaz along with the two brothers Bob and Nick.

I don't even know where to start. This was the second time we've hired William B. Meyer Company to move us. This time from Florida back to CT. It was again, the BEST moving experience I have EVER had! It started with Bill Harner who came to the house to give us an estimate; it continued with Deb Rivera, and Mary Bruner at the office, who communicated effectively, and gave me peace of mind throughout this otherwise stressful process. And then the actual packing/moving crew.. WOW!! The crew leader "Yomar" was AMAZING!! Super efficient; very professional and friendly, and just a gem of a person! His crew of two were also fabulous, packing everything with great care. I HIGHLY recommend William B. Meyer for anyone in need of a GREAT moving company. They are the BEST!! If you are looking for a smooth move with less stress and worry, then THIS is the company for you!

I couldn’t have chosen a better moving company than William B Meyer! Between contacting Bill to coordinating my move with Debra and Laura, everything went so smoothly and was executed very professionally. The team was readily available and responsive to all inquiries, and detailed the entire moving process to make sure everything went perfectly and was stress-free.

I moved from New York City to Connecticut and worked with Paul Denzel (crew lead) and Gary. The team arrived on time, were very neat, and cleaned up after they were done. The moving crew was like a well-oiled machine and I couldn’t believe how quick and organized they were. They skillfully navigated the busy streets of Manhattan as well as moved everything up and down a four story walk-up building! Upon arriving to my final destination, the team set up my boxes in an organized fashion. Moving out of NYC is never easy, but this crew did such an excellent job.

Overall, I was very pleased with the entire experience. I would only use them for future moves and I highly recommend William B Meyer for any type of move whether it be near or far! When I am ready to move back to NYC I plan on requesting the same crew as this time around.

Hired William B Meyers for interstate move. They not only met but exceeded my expectations. My move included loading a 3 bedroom house to deliver part of load to a 1 bedroom apartment with the bulk of our possessions being delivered to a storage unit awaiting the completion of a home build. The estimation was done virtually and Bill did a wonderful job helping me “walk through “ my house to calculate weight and review what I would wrap and what would be left to the movers. Bill also suggested how to carefully prepare items I planned on wrapping myself. The crew that arrived at our home were there promptly at the start time. While we did the majority of the packing ourselves they took great care in packing the items left to them and handled everything very carefully.

Three of the five people that packed up the truck arrived at my apartment earlier than planned which I appreciated. They unloaded the items quickly and carefully then off to the storage unit! My concern was the amount of items we still had on the truck exceeded the capacity of the storage unit. We had the largest unit available. While I would be able to rent a second unit there would be an extra expense. The crew packed the unit like a jigsaw puzzle and not only fit all the items, had some room to spare! My entire experience from start to finish was fantastic. My calls and emails were answered promptly. Bill estimated the weight higher than all of the other 3 quotes I received and the cost was the second lowest (only about $100 higher than lowest estimate). The difference was Meyer estimated 1000 pounds more and offered a binding contract which they honored even when the actual weight came in 1000 pounds heavier.

It all came down to the quality of the moving crew. Harold was the driver and team lead. The entire moving team were wonderful. Very courteous and efficient loading and unloading. Harold did an amazing job loading the storage unit and took great care fitting the items in one item at a time. Meyer came recommended from a neighbor that moved from Texas and had high praise for their professionalism. He was spot on! Would I recommend Meyer? Absolutely!

Great experience! Everyone involved with orchestrating my move was thoroughly professional and extremely helpful at every step of the process. The virtual inventory survey and estimate process was simple and very accurate. The team was responsive to my many questions, and always courteous and considerate. My movers were prompt and very efficient, and they took a great deal of care to ensure that all of my possessions were transported safely. It was a pleasure to deal with this moving company.

We had an excellent experience with Willian B Meyer! My husband and I needed moving and storage services for our move from New York City, and William B Meyer had excellent service and competitive rates.

Our movers were prompt and professional, and took great care when moving our belongings! There was no damage or any other issues we experienced.

We were moving out with a newborn, and William B Meyer made our move as quick and easy as possible. Due to Covid-19, we were very cautious about letting strangers into our home, but our movers adhered to all necessary safety precautions, and were equipped with gloves, sanitizing wipes, and wore face masks at all times. They even left the apartment when I had to return to feed/change our newborn.

We also used William B Meyer for our storage needs and have been pleased with these services as well. Our items are safely and securely stored, and we have been able to easily access our items as needed.

Moving can be stressful but not with William B Meyer. I have had storage with William B Meyer for a number of years and that left an excellent impression. Thus, when it was a time to make an interstate move from Connecticut to the Albany area, I called William B Meyer and was put in touch with Bill Harner. Not only did he call me immediately but every time I phoned him he contacted me in less than a half hour. My first move had to be canceled just about five days before it was scheduled because of some issues with the house I had planned to purchase, so I had to cancel the move. Bill Harner was extremely understanding. I found another house quite soon and rescheduled my move. Again, I was given an estimate and was told exactly what would happen and when.

I worked closely with Mary Bruner and we scheduled the loading the day before Thanksgiving and the move the day after Thanksgiving.

Gary and Paul, who came to my apartment could not have been more efficient and thoughtful. They completed the loading in about 90 minutes and the next time I saw them was early on the Friday after Thanksgiving at my new empty home near Albany. About two hours later everything was moved in perfectly, and furniture was brought to the designated rooms and the beds were set up.

I have moved internationally numerous times, and never have I had the first rate experience I had with Gary and Paul, and Mary Bruner and Bill Harner. I have nothing but admiration for how they made the move as easy as possible and without any incident whatsoever. This is a first class operation and I experienced a great group of professionals totally painless.

My move from CT to FL was nerve wracking; first LONG distance move for us. From Mary coordinating and keeping contact with us, to Ian being in charge for the actual physical moving of our belongings, turned out to be smooth as silk. The teams , with Ian packed our large belongings quickly, the 3 of the movers were in synch and didn’t stop until everything was on the truck. In FL Ian and another mover brought everything into the house quickly, assembled our bigger pieces swiftly and NOTHING was broken.

We highly recommend this moving company; I’m a stickler for things, I found them to be true professionals, polite, and experienced.

Mike and the crew did a great job. We had a lot of boxes and furniture. The crew worked tirelessly loading the truck. Gus and Javier were helpful in showing us that our couch had a missing bolt and told us how to fix it. Unloading the truck went smoothly. Noah organized our boxes making it easier to unpack. Boxes for the basement were neatly put on the shelves. Before leaving they made sure everything was in the correct place. I highly recommend Meyers. If we ever move again they will be the only company we will call.

Bill Duma did a virtual inspection of our property and provided a written estimate. He took his time to explain all associated costs and options. He was able accommodate our

load date in CT and delivery to our new home in NC. We chose to do our own packing but they provided all the boxes and packing material. Paulo DeOliveria, our crew chief/driver and his crew arrived on time and were very professional. They wrapped and protected all our furniture. I can’t believe how efficient and quick they were in loading and unloading. Our delivery arrived in NC on the date and time agreed to. They put everything where we wanted and set up the items we wanted them to. Not one thing was missing or damaged. I would highly recommend them and will use them again if we were to move.

Johnny is very good at his job and being a front line representative of the company he displays great customer service skills and professionalism. Ours was a complicated move to say the least, and Mike's crew was FANTASTIC. They had to pack in stages because we had a lot going to storage and then other items going to Boston. They were meticulous, professional and super patient with all the back and forth to the storage unit in West Hartford. We couldn't have done this without them. Bill was awesome and so thorough in doing the estimates for us, and Laura was a wonderful coordinator who answered all our questions and ushered us through. We're so grateful and HIGHLY recommend this company. They are pros--full stop.

We have relocated several times over the years, and this was by far the smoothest, low stress and professional move we have experienced! I am not sure I even have the proper words to describe how EASY and PAINLESS the move was - believe me when I say I was in quite a state about the move, in part because I was doing it on my own. The professional and personalized care offered by the William B. Meyer staff  was just what I needed - I was no longer alone!

It started with Tom Burke, the estimator.  He phoned me back within a half hour of my placing the call and came over that very day to give me a firm price on the move.  Laura Meng, the move coordinator, checked in with me on a regular basis as did  Debra Rivera, admin.  (Deb even gave me a call a few days after the move to see how I was doing.)  Everyone was not just professional but very kind - they clearly sensed I needed some 'hand holding.'  

Steve Stone, crew chief, and William his assistant, were absolutely amazing.  Steve phoned as promised the night before with the time details. And, he called again the next day when he was thirty minutes from my home.  Right away Steve and William put me at my ease - I knew everything was going to be alright.  They easily and quickly moved my possessions onto the truck.

Steve and William showed up in Vermont at the promised time the next day.  They were cheerful during the entire process.  All my belongings arrived in perfect condition. When I asked for an opinion in placing some pieces they could even do that. We moved from Milton, MA to Wilmington, NC and the whole process was easy with this company. Bill Douma, District Manager, provided a safe and accurate virtual estimate and also made sure we received packing materials well in advance. Jennie Farnell, our move coordinator, checked in from time time to make sure everything was on schedule. Jose Vargas was the crew chief on both ends and he was superb. Everyone we worked with responded quickly whenever we had questions before the move. We did most of the packing but the crew packed some fragile items and we were very grateful for that. The crew also dismantled beds and tables and put them together once the items were delivered. They were also very attentive to where we wanted items placed in NC. Everyone was professional and friendly, and kind. It is stressful to move and, at one point, Jose looked at me and said "It's all OK, don't worry, we've got this." He was terrific. We had three estimates and this was the least expensive and also included packing materials (the other companies said we had to get materials on our own). We could not have been happier with the entire experience. And nothing broke!

I appreciate, too, that the company seeks feedback and wants to make sure that they are doing their best for customers. I truly can't think of anything else I would have wanted from them. I highly recommend them for their experience, professionalism, attention to detail, timeliness, attentiveness to their customers, and follow through. I would absolutely use this company again.
