  This may be a lengthy review but please read it.
  
  Paid White and Company to move our belongings from our existing house into their storage facility and then onto our new house a few weeks later. Also paid them a further £390 for their insurance to cover both our moves and also for the storage period.
  
  We decided to pack and box our own possessions given that the reviews of White and Co’s packing service had not been particularly complimentary; small items were carefully wrapped and placed using bubble wrap in storage boxes that White and Co provided and larger items of furniture were protected in multi-layer bubble wrap and then covered with a layer of thick packing grade cardboard and duct tape.
  
  Upon delivery of our belongings we discovered that ten items, primarily furniture, but also including an expensive Bose hi-fi speaker which appeared to have been dropped, had been damaged.
  
  After numerous chasing emails to them and finally after waiting nearly three months, we were informed that due to the fact that we had carried out our own packing, our belongings, albeit with the exception of a couple of items that White and Co themselves had placed within plastic bags, we were not…

  Shambles of a service; they lost items, broke items and don’t have any meaningful insurance. If you don’t buy their extra insurance then you’re not covered for things that “go missing”…… So even when they lose things, they’re not responsible, nor when they break or damage your possessions.
  
  Avoid this company at all costs.

  Ended up with thousands of pounds worth of damage to our furniture, they did not care, staff were rude, their insurance found evert loop hole to avoid pay out. We saw nothing back from the damages they caused. DO NOT USE IF YOU VALUE YOUR BELONGINGS (Guernsey to UK)

  Avoid for International removals.
  
  First time ever I write a bad review, but the unprofessional service experienced need to be known about. The big problem with removal contracts are that the service need to be paid for upfront. Once they have your money, the professionalism and customer focus disappear. Due to poor organisation, our packing that was scheduled to last for 4 days fell behind schedule. Instead of extending the time, they rather resorted to bundling stuff into the removal truck for wrapping and packing at their warehouse. In the process, some goods got damaged. Items specified under the marine insurance was settled by the marine insurance company, but non specified items which were covered under limited liability as per the contract was not settled by White&Company as they kept on making a series of poor excuses every time I tried following up. Overall experience was one not to be repeated. Do take note of poor reviews, they tell true stories of peoples experiences.

  Excellent from start to finish
  
  I can't speak highly enough of the service I received from this company when I moved from Sheffield to Portsmouth. The teams at Knaresborough and Portsmouth are amazing. My purchase fell through 2 days before I was moving and White and Company were brilliant! They organised storage at the depot nearest my new temporary accommodation and dropped off some of the items I wanted to take with me. The quick reaction to my new requirements was excellent and everyone, from office staff in both depots to the removals and warehouse team in Portsmouth were so very helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this company, their customer service is second to none.
- The guys were top notch and I have nothing but praise for them working in the most appauling weather conditions.

  This was a domestic move. The crew came to pick up the contents of our home in snow on 19th March 2013 in Aberdeenshire and dropped off the household shipment in Cheltenham Gloucestershire in driving raqin on 22nd March 2013. The guys were top notch and I have nothing but praise for them working in the most appauling weather conditions. In every respect these guys were outstanding and great to work with. Based on my experience I would recommend White and Company unreservedly and would have no hestitation to use them again.

  Fabulous storage/international move experience.
  
  I am astonished by the negative reviews below. We started with a domestic move from London to the White & Co storage (including antiques, paintings, crystal, silver, china and linen), where it all spent five years in storage in the UK, then our container was shipped to the U.S. and eventually to Florida, all handled by White & Co. The packing in London was so careful and meticulous (with loads of paper and padding, which was one reason all went so well), when it all arrived in Florida five years later, not one piece was broken; antiques and paintings were perfect, silver wasn't even tarnished, and - unbelievably - linens still looked and smelled freshly washed and ironed. Everyone, from salesman to packers to office staff, was pleasant, competent, honest, did exactly as they said they would, charged exactly what they had said they would, and were terrific to work with. I was able to track the ship across the Atlantic, then the transfer from port (Savannah) to truck and finally the ground transportation leg to me. I've since recommended White & Co to friends (one of whom moved half a household from London to Burgundy, another half a household to South Carolina; the other of whom…

  We used this company last year to move us from London to Lincolnshire. I did most of the packing myself. When the packers turned up they looked quite smart, were polite and got on with the job. Then one of them dropped our DVD player just outside the front door. Not even a suggestion of an apology came forth. I didn't make an issue of it as I just wanted to get on with things.
  
  All our belongings were packed into six giant crates on the lorry and headed off for storage.
  
  After three months it was time for them to deliver. Did it come in the crates on the nice big lorry? No. It did not. One small white and co lorry and one unmarked white lorry. I had a look inside and it was as if everything had been thrown in. They said they'd had to unpack the crates because they wouldn't fit onto these smaller vehicles. No one mentioned this when I was arranging delivery so I am doubtful about the validity of the statement. Judging by the dirty state some of my stuff was in I believe they were unpacked at the depot a long time before delivery.

  Their communications were nothing but hurrendous, we had to email on a few occasions as they were not responding. Expensive furniture arrived damaged and our tv unit is missing. We weren’t even told about our tv unit until the removal men arrived, and have still, 2 weeks later had no communications. Please do not use!
- We called the white and co office several times letting them know the removal guys were not coping but they didn't help or support them.

  UK move - Cardiff to Inverness.
  
  This is the second time we’ve had to use Whites. The first was an international move (Falklands) and the second within UK. Unfortunately this latest move was even poorer than the first. Whites successfully managed to damage, chip, scratch or break (a leg was actually broken off a dressing table) almost every piece of furniture, some of which were very expensive. Packing was absolutely appalling and little care, attention or respect was given to our belongings; it’s a miracle more wasn’t destroyed. Whites were in denial of our direct feedback, insisting they were a great company with highly skilled workmen, and just directed us to claim off our own insurance company. Very poor professional and customer service, avoid at all costs if you have a choice of who to use.

International move back to Sydney.

Do not use Whites for international move. Insufficicient packing materials and corner cutting resulted in multiple breakages of items that could have been avoided. Guys obviously not trained for international moves.

Really bad.

Today are 1 month and 14 days and the company don't know where our things. We move from London to Spain and the customer service still give us no answer about the moving.
We don't even know if my things are still in London or if they started to move them.
Our things are lost? We waiting and waiting and waiting..

Complete hell!

You get a quote but can’t book date, checked availability the week before moving , phoned up to confirm everything, they could move me. Couldn’t get anyone else to move me. Having gone from being organised it went to complete hell.

Never before I’m the seven times of moving have I not been able to get a moving slot booked.

Disorganised.

A mess from start to finish! Disorganised, wrong information given, phone calls not returned, hidden extras to be paid for, the list goes on and on.
The two poor blokes dragged across the country, later found out they have a depot 6 miles away! we’re nice blokes and worked hard.

Use another company.

Was the worst removal in my 30 years of moving and I have done a fair bit of moving.If you want your belongings intact use another common. Even the insurance paid wasn't worth the 4 items smashed boooooo White and company. Nasty people!
