Vantage Movers LLC

I hired Vantage Movers for a cross-country move. When I spoke to an agent on the phone, he told that his company was not like other moving companies in that they do not add additional fees after the moving costs have been agreed upon. This turned out not to be the case. At the last minute -- days before delivery -- Vantage informed me that I was required to pay an additional $400 because the moving truck my belongings had traveled in could not reach my new residential address. Regardless of the merits of this, this is obviously something the company should have flagged to me beforehand. They knew what address I was moving to from the beginning. I can only assume that they did not do that because they did not want to disclose the additional fee.

I contacted them and it’s been nothing but silence since making the deposit. I’ve called several times and asked for an update on the move, and 2 days later I get an email asking my if I need to add anything to the move. I asked the person if they had any details of when everything would happen and they said they didn’t know and that their only job is to find out if I need to add something to the move. “We only care about charging you more, not about having some semblance of customer service” is all

I heard. Go with someone who is interested in taking care of someone paying thousands of dollars for a move across the country.

José and his crew from Cobra Vanlines were fantastic! They arrived when they said they would, and they had everything loaded up in about 30 minutes. They handled my items with care and packaged a couple of items that I wasn't able to.

So far, my experience with Vantage Movers has been nothing but a positive one. Once my items arrive to my destination, I will update my review to reflect the rest of my experience. I have been told numerous times that my item should arrive within the next 10 days, so I pray that is the case!

This company is a bait and switch scam artist company. We called to have our car and some items moved... Then a few days before pickup they said they didn't have the car included on the quote we were given. They then said if we cancelled we wouldn't get our deposit back. We sat on the phone back and forth with the billing woman and she was rude and inconsiderate. They also said that the phone conversations were re-listened to and they admitted that they heard me talk about my car I needed to have shipped (Which was the main reason for my call). They said the next guy in line when we got a call didn't know anything about a car. Bait and switch BS... please NEVER use this company ever. A quick google search on my end would have done me wonders...

Google reads: Reviews for Vantage Movers (Florida-based broker) are highly polarizing, with many customers reporting significant bait-and-switch pricing, last-minute cost increases, and damage to items, according to complaints on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. While some users report smooth, efficient, and well-communicated moves, a high volume of complaints indicates they often broker to third-party carriers with poor service, resulting in hidden fees and lost items.

Guys did a great job,

Saw there amazing reviews on the bbb, very low amount of complaints compared to others I was comparing quotes.. fair pricing, and easy to work with.

Jacob was my agent helping with the quote, rigos was my movers. They did everything I expected and it was as seamless as it could get.

Bought the guys lunch to help take a sleeper sofa to the dumpster too. It was not worth moving.

5 stars all around.

Dishonest! Spoke with both John and Tyler regarding a 14 mile move. Two calls were specifically regarding inventory of items to be moved. Bid was accepted. Vantage Movers (VM) was SPECIFICALLY asked if they employed the moving team or subcontracted. VM assured that the moving team were VM employees and there was NO SUBCONTRACTING. VM stated the team was vetted, background checked, honest, professional and careful! The team showed as scheduled but were employed by Cobra Movers! Upon entering house, they informed that the bid did not cover the quantity of items to be moved and that additional money would be required and/or some items would NOT be moved. The dishonesty and low estimate demonstrated the apparent lack of integrity of VM. Multiple requests were made for John to call regarding problems with the move. These requests were not met! There has been No communication with either John or Tyler, in fact, on the 3rd phone call, VM stated that the brokers (John and Tyler) had no further communication with the Customer! The lack of honesty, communication, professionalism and extreme difference in the bid and actual cost is UNACCEPTABLE and FRUSTRATING!

Initially was a good experience with a gentleman named Roy, who helped set up the trip. Kept the trip at the targeted budget of 2k from Ohio to Florida, almost a 2 bedrooms worth of boxes and furniture.

Leading up to the move, communication was fairly decent. The day of the move is when things turned into a nightmare. I guess Roy had already gotten his commission because he was nowhere to be found. Movers arrived an hour late, 8pm when they had a 3p-7p window. Upon arrival, the foreman of the subcontractors who were conducting the job, demanded 2k when I signed a contract outlining only $650 due at pickup, after a $700 deposit. My elderly mother was bullied into paying 2k cash to the movers for them to complete the work. She had to be out of the apartment that day so she had no choice. They dropped boxes as she heard glass breaking. One of the movers stated his shift ended at 830 and left. All in all, this company is a mess of a scam. I have a signed contract with them outlining a 2k total job which has turned into over a 3k job. Stay far away from these thieves!!!

My name’s Justin, and I recently used Vantage Movers for my move from Colorado to New Jersey out of my 3-bedroom home. Not only did they come in with one of the most competitive rates compared to the other companies I quoted, but they also had far better reviews and significantly fewer complaints than anyone else I looked into.

To be honest, the price almost seemed too good to be true at first, but they reassured me that everything quoted was accurate with no hidden surprises. I was also happy to learn they use an in-house network of moving teams only, and the carrier assigned to my move was 5-star rated and A+ accredited with the BBB.

Larry was the foreman on my job, and him along with his crew absolutely exceeded expectations. This was hands down the most professional moving experience I’ve had so far. Not a single item arrived damaged, and they even reassembled and staged everything exactly how I wanted it in the new home.

The crew worked efficiently, stayed professional throughout the entire process, and truly made a stressful long-distance move feel easy. I ended up buying the guys lunch and tipping them because they genuinely earned it.

I’d use Vantage Movers again.

The crew of two arrived exactly on time and maintained a great, professional, and friendly attitude the entire day. They handled all of my belongings with care and ease, but what really impressed me was how they managed a large, incredibly difficult piece of furniture. They carefully disassembled it at my old place and put it back together perfectly at the new apartment. To top it all off, communication was excellent throughout the process, and the final bill actually came out less than I expected. I would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress-free move!

I was very worried about finding hauling truck, hiring people to clean up, and place to dump (which also cost). But this company respond instantly to my request in the night, and schedule right the next morning. They (just 2 hard-working man) took 10 minutes to clean up everything and move all to their truck, which took me few days to move from my old place here few months ago! They did their job EXCEPTIONALLY well and I would suggest them to any of my friends when they need! Super worth it.

I requested a quote for a move and said i dont have an exact date but in this time frame. Don't worry about cost, my company will cover it when it's time and I will be in touch when it's time. Then proceeded to get multiple calls and texts daily. Someone named Tyler said do you want movers or not?? I'm glad he gave me attitude before i proceeded with any form of payment. Other movers have been very polite and have not harassed me daily. Pick literally anyone else

I am so incredibly pleased with my move! They came quickly, were professional and communicative. I ended up having more stuff than what I originally asked them to move, but they didn't mind at all. They were incredibly careful not to damage my new place or belongings and got the job done insanely fast! I was quoted 4 hours for other places, and they got it done in a little over two. If you've spent hours researching moving companies like I have, just let this be your sign to go with Vantage Movers!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4288

I had an excellent experience with this moving company! We had 3 movers, and everything went very smoothly from start to finish. The foreman was a very professional and kind person, well organized and always in control of the move. The stacking in the truck was done perfectly, very clean and secure.

But I must give a special shout-out to the helper — WOW! ? Super amazing, full of energy, extremely careful, and incredible at wrapping and protecting furniture. I’ve never seen someone work so fast and with so much attention to detail.

The whole team worked hard, respected our belongings, and made the move completely stress-free. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4288

I had a wonderful experience working with him and his team at Vantage Movers! I worked with them across several days and several different requests throughout my move about a month and a half ago. This included moving furniture, packing clothes and my kitchen up, moving an upright piano, breaking down furniture that was left behind at my new place, and garbage/recycling disposal at both properties. I was truthfully a bit all over the place especially at the beginning of the move - I had travel changes, family events come up, etc. and he was extremely accommodating to my changes and worked with me on the fly to make sure that I was able to move comfortably, safely, and in time before my previous lease was up despite my personal stuff that changed around our initial plan. The pricing was extremely fair, I did not lose anything, nothing was broken or damaged, and the whole team was very friendly! I would highly recommend this team for any moving needs!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5244

He and his crew were amazing throughout our entire experience. Communication was clear and punctual. The helpers arrived on time, moved fast, and listened to all of my specific instructions. They handled all of our furniture with care. They ensured all of our fragile items were safe during transport. The team had great attitudes the entire time. I’d recommend these guys 100x over and over. Most moving companies like to run the clock, working slow and such, but these guys were moving with meaning.

I Love this company! We hired them 2 times now to move our daughter in and out of college and we plan to hire them the rest of the time she is there. We live out of state and had terrible experiences with other movers until we found this wonderful moving company. The owner is polite, hard working, accommodating, and every employee is the same. I would recommend them to anyone. They are quick to respond, come prepared, show up on time. They also will provide moving supplies if you let them know in advance. I have used them to pack as well as move and instead of taking time and running up the bill, they were super quick, working together to get the job done quickly and efficiently while being careful with all of the things they were packing and moving. I only wish they lived in my area so I could hire them when needed. A+++++++ to these guys! Thanks for everything!!!
