Gave us a competitive quote. Showed up and doubled the quote. They had outsourced to a smaller company. We agreed to pay new quote under pressure from USMS. 11 days later on a move from Chicago to Florida, materials haven't left Chicago, and will not for an estimated 5-6 more days until they even load. USMS says that it's not their fault and there is nothing they can do. Zero empathy. Outsourcing scam, stay away. Told us today it may be 30 days before delivered. So they outsourced, washed their hands, and refuse to help.

Can not say enough negative things about this service or the company they sent our contract to (Monster Moving). For the sake of my own sanity, I'll compartmentalize our numerous complaints into 5 key grievances:

1- Constant moving of goal posts. Our initial pickup window was guaranteed and then missed and rescheduled 3-4 times. Every single time, we had to be the ones to call the service and ask what was going on. We were given excuse after excuse.

2- Lack of Transparency - After receiving the initial quote (during which time we were absolutely lied to about the level of service we could expect), we did not see a contract or terms sheet from USMS or Monster Moving until we'd already deposited over $5000 for the service and our possessions were loaded on their truck.

-- We were asked when we would be available to accept delivery and provided a date. There was absolutely no mention that the contract gave them a 30 DAY delivery allowance FROM THAT DATE. We only discovered this AFTER reading the fine print on the back of the contract; a contract we only received after we had paid 75% of the total moving costs.

3- Multiple items were not packed. We performed a walkthrough with the movers indicating what items should be packed, and which ones should be left. The moving team moved some items out of the way, then completely neglected to load them on the truck at all - even after charging us for the space they would take up.

4- Monster Moving DOUBLED our quote price from USMS when the movers arrived. In fairness, we did have more items to move then we initially anticipated, but certainly not double the amount. Watching them write up the new bill, I saw they quoted 10 cubic feet for a guitar, 15 cubic feet for a Shop Vac, the list goes on and on.

5- Absolute lack of communication. Helen Keller had less of a struggle learning to communicate than USMS and their support team. Constant excuses, long hold times, indifferent operators, and lack of any updates are what you can expect here. Good luck trying to get any answers, reach a manager, or talk to anybody except their inept support team.

There are not many things I would use a time machine to change about my life. But using USMS is certainly one of them. Damn the butterfly effect, I would happily accept any consequences just to not give my money to these dirtbags. It is now the week of Christmas and my wife and I are sitting in an empty house in a new state, hoping against hope that all of our belongings are safe.

In short, run. Run far away. Run and hide from businesses like USMS. They are the true monsters hiding under your bed you were told about as a child. Except these monsters pick up your bed, spit on it, and throw it into the lake and then charge you for the hassle.

These guys are not moving company but only brokers. I hired thinking they were the moving company and they ended up hiring Reliable Company and Reliable company rented a truck from Budget Company to pick up my furniture. The furniture was load December 27, 2021 and as of today 1/11/22 they haven't delivered the furniture or calling me to let me know they are on way. I already had to buy furniture in the amount of $7,000.00. I am about to call AG Office.

BAIT & SWITCH, SCAM, BEWARE. THIS COMPANY IS A BROKER COMPANY

UNDERESTIMATED SPACE TO KEEP THE PRICE LOW UPFRONT SO THEY COULD WIN THE BID. THEY INCREASED THE PRICE IN SQUARE FOOTAGE WHEN THE MOVING TRUCK SHOWED UP. THE COMPANY IS A BROKER COMPANY AND NOT AN ACTUAL MOVING COMPANY.

ONCE THIS COMPANY RECEIVES THE DEPOSIT THEY DO NOT CARE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICES.

It took them 22 days to delivered the furniture from RI to Palm Coast, with broken stuff.

I'll just say that everything on Yelp about this company is 100% accurate. They're a broker -- don't have they're own trucks nor own movers. They grossly underestimate the cost of moves, which indicates either gross incompetence or intentional fraud -- all to make their cost seem reasonable. My estimate was 40% under the actual (I accurately described everything I wanted them to move; was told I was 4th person that day that this had happened to). The company they hired to pick up my belongings had 1 English speaker, the rest probably illegal immigrants (but definitely day laborers). They did not take good care of my belongings, causing damage to my motorcycle and antique dresser (and other things, all due to terrible packing, loading, and storage). The claims process will take forever. Clothes were stuffed into boxes, dirtying and wrinkling everything. On the receiving end at least the people hired took great care of my belongings, but required full payment before they'd unload anything. No reputable company would require a 60% deposit up front (on an estimate 40% too low), nor would they require full payment until service had been completed. Their customer service is great -- until you pay them and then they practically ghost you and are terrible. The customer service of the people who actually moved my belongings was also terrible, storing my items in a warehouse after picking everything up even though I explicitly said not to, delaying delivery of my things by 1 week. USMS claims to be professional but are definitely not. Lesson learned -- don't book with a broker and don't book a move when you're extremely exhausted and stressed out. Unfortunately I rushed into this and then got stuck because I paid a $4k non-refundable deposit. If all the 5-star reviews on here are accurate then I'm glad they get it right some of the time. But based on Yelp and what the actual movers told me these positive reviews are likely works of fiction to make the company look good.

I hired usms to move my furniture which to my understanding are brokers moving company I had to give them a deposit to get everything rolling anyway the price was 2200.00 no one gave me any kind of space limitations.so the truck arrived at the location with just a driver which was odd for 1 person and it's a moving company I open up storage and he explained I have only 3 cubic feet of space and that he has to call his boss only to come back with a higher price of 4500.00 when my price was only for a 1 bedroom apartment who the hell has a 1bedtoom with 3cubic feet of space I told them no and wanted my deposit back and he told me no Warning Do not deal with these people they are scammers low bidding just to get money out of you for no work and not returning your deposit Warning don't deal with them

I booked this company and I spoke to Benjamin who is a sliver tongue salesman, althought he did charm his way with what appeared to be "transparent and honest" information as well as "warning" me about what other moving companies might do to me in relation to deception in services, he did not disclose that the delivery time of my stuff would vary from 2-14 days. I was very upset to hear this and my driver could not guarentee me that my stuff would arrive on the desired date. Benjamin stated that this variation is "typical for any moving company" and was in the fine print but did not disclose this to me upon his sweet talk of trying to book me. How are we as customers supposed to know this general knowledge considering we are not working in this line of business? I did not appreciate this information be omitted from the sales pitch and therefore canceled my agreement with them. I was told pick up was going to be sunday and I got a call when the driver was an hour away on saturday for pick up. The driver felt bad because of the deception the brokers tell the customers of " oh yea it will be there by this date" to the customers upon the sales pitch. I really appreciated the drivers transparency and honesty but I did not want to work with this moving company after how non-chalant Benjamin

was about the whole situation. Make sure you ask about all the small details and read the fine print in the contract. I had a prior bad experience with a moving company and I told Benjamin about this and he was sympathetic at the time but when I called with my concerns about delivery time of my stuff he was less than empathetic. I will not use a moving company again. Just rent a uhaul and hire help to load and unload your stuff at each location, it is proving to be cheaper and less stress than dealing with the uncertainty of moving dates and times. My total for the whole move was going to be $4500. By booking a uhaul and hiring help to load and unload at each location is was the equivalent to my deposit of $1700.

COMPLETE SCAM! They promised many things that just turned out to be lies. They quote a low price to get you into the door and then once they load everything up and close the truck they tell you another price. They said for all the items i had it would be 3,400 once they got their it turned out to be 6,700 for the exact same amount of items. They also told us that they will be there at 8 am to pick up our stuff. i took off work to be able to deal and help with the movers. They didnt show up till 10:30 PM and were there till 2:00 AM!!! They came and looked at the stuff and dropped one guy off to start wrapping items and then the truck and the other guys left. We had two pick locations so after they have been gone for 3 hours they called and asked me to drive their employee to the other location in my car at 1 am. What every day they say it will be there, add 9-14 days on to that to be realistic
