Long-distance move from Little Rock, AR to Alhambra, IL

Quick and Effortless!!

They were fantastic all through the process. I was concerned about moving the piano, but the company said they had dealt with it before and came well prepared. It was amazing to see how well they wrapped, lifted and secured it before driving away.

Scammer broker, Do.Not. Pay them any deposit

The company sales Ryan Birch offered me low moving all in price from California to Orlando, saying they have crew out that way and they don’t want to return empty so he gave me full service price at $3/CF. When time came for the move, it was completely different moving brokerage company out from California, said they have to combine our stuff and wait for other people to go on the road, and also they have to charge $450 to load the piano and then changed the price to $700 and then they just left without loading out items. When I contacted United one van line, they said they do not refund my $2060 deposit, which was sent to the owner directly by Zelle.

I have also filed claim and complaint directly to their company insurance and all the transportation bureaus.

Do not book anything with them. They don’t own trucks and they scam your deposits. Stay away!

Long-distance move from Michigan to California

SCAM. WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER.

United One Van Lines was easily the worst moving experience one could have imagined. The company brokered us out to a mover with 1-star reviews and existing complaints of fraud without allowing us to see details prior to pickup. At 1:00am on the day of pickup, after all of our items were already loaded into the truck, we were forced to sign a series of documents increasing our price by over $1000 and, as we later found out, changes to the insurance policy. We also later found out that additional information was added to our signed documents AFTER they were signed, which prevented us from receiving insurance coverage. We later discovered that there were already fraud complaints filed against the company, but we were never made aware of this by United One Van Lines. We would have not minded any of this, in addition to the items being four weeks late, had they arrived in one piece. But arriving one month after being picked up, everything we owned had been destroyed.

The items arrived molded, putrid, and, in some cases, shattered. My acoustic guitar was shipped in a hard case that has never been damaged even by airlines, yet it was somehow completely smashed upon arrival. Our wrapped and padded glass items were shattered, and all electronics were water-damaged and unusable. They even lost a $700 keyboard that was never returned. After contacting customer services for help, no effort was put into retrieving the lost items or work with the carrier to settle claims, and we were told that they would not take responsibility for any damages. We were refused any refund or compensation. The company repeatedly denied responsibility for the damages, despite the carrier claiming that it was their responsibility as the paid broker to do so.

In the end, we suffered nearly $7,000 in damages by choosing to do business with United One Van Lines. Whatever you do, when you see the name of this company run in the opposite direction, They are a fraud and a scam.

Extremely professional gentlemen.

These people did an outstanding job, and I can't thank them enough. They were very careful as they packed, checking on each item to ensure its security. From making the reservation to completing the relocation, the entire experience was excellent. They didn't charge me for any extra service. Thanks a lot. I would recommend you to others.

Long Distance Move

We had to cancel the move due to an unexpected family health issue. We cancelled well within the 24 hour limit. We did receive a confirmation e-mail stating that our deposit minus 15% would be refunded within 21 business days. It's well over that, and after numerous calls & e-mails, we have yet to get our refund.

My move

I was quoted a price and paid my deposit. 25 hrs later Brandon calls to cancel my move. Informing me it would also be a non refundable deposit of 640$. They were a waste of time and it cost me because they canceled. I should have received a full refund. I don’t recommend this company.

I wholeheartedly recommend their services!

The highlight of a good experience at this company is that the staff and movers alike take the wishes of the customers into account. They not only listen but they act on it as well to make sure you have a smooth experience. I had a terrific time relocating with their competent moving crew recently. None of my things were harmed. I wholeheartedly recommend their services!

OMG

Do not use this moving service. My stuff was damaged, broken, missing. Horrible experience. Total rip-off. They brought a 75 foot rig to deliver my stuff. Brilliant. Yeah a 75 footer is gonna fit on residential streets. Sure, geniuses. Of course, the truck didn’t fit and I had to pay for a UHaul truck to offload and then unload and set up my stuff (paid up front for unloading and setup). This company SUCKS. DO NOT USE.

Smooth Movers

With two successful moves, I have nothing but praise for United One Vanlines. John's understanding, helpfulness, and effective communication, combined with the movers' punctuality and efficiency, made both experiences stress-free. Their ability to swiftly pack and transport our belongings was a game-changer, making the moving process significantly smoother.

Amazing From UT to WA!

The moving crew did a fantastic job managing my relocation from UT to WA. They carefully followed my instructions and wrapped my delicate chinaware with an extra layer. They were also cautious when lowering my mirror-top dining table from my apartment and securing it to the moving vehicle using sturdy straps and blankets. They went above and beyond to protect my possessions. It was just amazing!

They handled everything very well.

I was expecting just a regular move, but these guys really went the extra mile. They noticed I had some old furniture that I was thinking of donating but hadn’t gotten around to. Without even asking, they packed it up and took it to a donation center for me. They helped me decide on how to arrange my furniture in the new place, making sure everything was just right. I didn’t know moving could come with such extra perks!

Long-distance move from Gilbert, AZ to Washougal, WA

BAIT AND SWITCH

I was hesitant to book with this moving company because of the hard selling tactics used on the call. That was the first red flag I wrote off. I did not get what I was sold. Our price went from $2800 to almost $5000 upon pickup/drop off. They hire brokers so all of my items were moved from one truck to a different truck and in turn many items were damaged. The guys that picked up were great, and got things done quickly. Everything was delivered within a week or so which was nice.

The red flags began flying upon drop off. I noticed everything was in a different truck and was immediately concerned about damage. The movers doing drop off were unprofessional. One was wearing ONLY short exercise shorts and slide sandals. No shirt or proper shoes. His sweat got all over everything and it made me uncomfortable. They claimed they could not pull up to the door (they could have!!!) and we were charged an additional $400 for this. Keep in mind there were no stairs and this was never communicated until we were forced to pay the fee. Before the items were even half way done they told my husband that they need to be tipped at least $100 each. He was more occupied by this than actually moving our things in. My husband gave one of them $100 cash and transferred the other $100 on Zelle. We were planning on tipping them however we never even got the choice. After he sent him money they continued moving our items in. They then started berating me with questions about how much we paid for our move and how they thought “we were going to take care of them, it was a really far drive, (etc)”

We tipped them each $100 and then made to feel that we were stingy and cheap. My husband had to be late for work because I felt uncomfortable staying at the house alone with them. This was a horrible experience and not at all what was sold!!!

Tony was our salesman and left out a lot of important information out even though I voiced my concerns. He used pressure tactics to get us to sign and we fell for it. In all fairness this has been my experience with every moving salesmen.

Elizabeth was the customer service agent we spoke with. She was truly the only bright light in this experience. She was always kind and helpful and did what she could to help us. She deserves a raise. I would have rather given the tip to her.

Overall this was a bad experience and I would never use this company again. Listen to the red flags.

They Took great care off My items

Man, these movers were grinding like crazy! They carried all my heavy furniture up three flights of stairs. They were beasts. They used strong and sturdy belts and harnesses to lift and support everything, and they used smart and safe techniques to avoid injuries and accidents. They worked tirelessly and relentlessly, and they didn’t complain or whine. They were machines.

BEWARE OF THIS HEARTLESS SCAM

I should've known by the guy that was talking way too much about his personal life while I was trying to make my final decision to use this company. This is a broker, not the transportation/moving company. That means they contract with random trucking companies/drivers that manage your move. Then they send you to their "Quality Assurance Dept" which is not at all what it should be. The initial quote will NOT be the final price by far. I was quoted $1900 for a move that ended up costing us a little over $4000. It started at $1900, selling you with all sorts of discounts and services like wrapping your items that we're now being nickel and dimed for. We did end up adding a few things because he told us we still had a little room left over so we may have gone just a little over which is understandable. But then once we got everything packed, we called with the final dimensions of most of the items and the box count and the quote went from $1900 to $2900 and when the truck came to pick up, that $2900 jumped to $4107 and they are saying we are using an extra 200cuft which not one thing was added since we were quoted the $2900 from the "Quality Assurance" team. This is such a scam, and they know there is nothing you can do about it at that point in your planning. Moving is stressful enough especially since we were there to help a sick family member that couldn't work anymore and was forced to sell his home of 16rs and on top of that, to do this to someone is NOT OK!!!! Be Careful and do your homework. All the reviews are great, which is what fooled me. They are taking advantage of people for the mighty $.

Everything went smoothly

These guys really took the time to wrap and protect every single item, no matter how big or small. They made sure that nothing was damaged or lost during the move. Long-distance move from Banning, CA to Beaver, WV

Don’t use this company they are liars and Thieves.

When I first called to get a quote, I was quoted $3200 for a certain amount of the truck. The gentleman on the phone told me that I could go over as long as I “” didn’t have a piano or a pool table‘ when they got there. I had more boxes then I originally thought so I contacted the guy who I spoke to and he said it would be fine as long as I didn’t have a pool table or a piano two days before the mover got there I got a call from customer service and they increased the price by another thousand dollars for the extra boxes. The day of the move the driver was supposed to be at my house between nine and noon but he didn’t get there till 4 o’clock. I was told they would be at least two men to load the furniture and boxes. The driver came with his seven year old daughter and his girlfriend and they were there till 9 PM. The driver took pictures of everything sent it to the office and they increased my bill another $2000 at this point I am up $6000. I had all of the boxes ready to goin the garage and had the little bit of furniture in the living room ready to go. It took them five hours because they had one man. Once I had an address to have my stuff shipped too. I made arrangements for them to deliver it. When the driver got to my town. He informed me his tractor trailer is too big to come down my road now they’re charging me another $500 to deliver my stuff. This company has done nothing for me from the get-go. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!
