Long-distance move from Mesa, AZ to Pensacola, FL

Scammer!

They do not have trucks and sold our contract to Russian thieves who doubled the price and delivered our things 2 months later. Every box was torn open, and some contents were put into trash bags; everything of value was stolen. Tony is in this business as a predator! Karma will catch up!

Solid Company New Clean Truck

Barry was over the top with details, how things work , what/our responsibilities were as well as time lines. He over estimated how much space we needed to make sure there were no issues. What do u know we definitely needed it too. The crew was friendly and did a great Job pad wrapping all our furniture before loading. Only issue was crew showed up at 45 minutes late . Glad they had extra TV boxes as we totally forgot to get them. Was worried at first because they were less expensive then most other companies we got quotes from .

We were robbed

The worst experience of my entire life. Paid $8,000.00. For 80% of our furniture broken, 3 day late delivery, missing over 10 boxes of our belongs. No money back even after paying for insurance. They stopped replying to us, pretty sure Tony and Joseph have blocked our numbers at this point. Completely scammed and robbed as a 24 year old couple. This was heartbreaking. I hope karma gets both of them and this awful company.

Official company response

This is a fake review. We have never done business with anyone with this name and we have not spoken to anyone with this complaint. We take customer service very seriously, if you have an issue all you have to do is call us and we will resolve the issue 100% of the time

Can't beat their price

You can not beat their price I promise you. I searched every moving company in the country, I mean i must have spent ten hours looking for the cheapest price I could find because I am on a serious budget and need every penny for this move. In the end they had the lowest price by a pretty good amount. When I saw their amazing reviews I knew it was a no brainer. I had never heard of My Move price but all my friends have and I have heard nothing but good things. Anyways, We used them. They moved us. We saved a bunch of money. And we got all our things in perfect order. Can't say enough good things about this company they really care and you can feel it when you work with them. do yourself a favor and stop shopping and go with what everyone is telling you with all these good reviews it's that simple.

Fastest Move Ever

You guys saved my butt. I called everyone because I had to be on the other side of the country with my entire family and moved into my home in a little over a week or I wasn't going to be able to accept a new job that I finally got. Every other carrier was knew they had me under a barrell and were charging me an arm and a leg. My Move Price blew everyone's price away and actually got us there ahead of schedule.

No Hiccups, Just A Straightforward Move

I have moved 7 times long-distance and this is only the 2nd time where I was given an accurate estimate and was not lied to the company. The price only changed by $30 from beginning to end because I added a few extra boxes. Load was delivered 6 days after the pickup. If you are looking to sort through all the deceptive companies and just find a company that will give you an honest appraisal, this is the one.

Long-distance move from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Georgetown, TX

Avoid them!

This company truly deserves no stars. I'm telling you all, believe the 1-star reviews. My story is exactly the same.

We were quoted an awesome price, but then our price doubled once the drivers arrived.

My wife was on a last-minute hunt for a moving company to take our belongings from Florida to Texas. Upon speaking to Gabe, we received a nice quote for $2,178.00 and were so surprised. She even asked him what the catch was. He said there was no catch, and the only thing that could change the price would be if we had larger items than what he had listed. He then rushed us through the contract signing process. He also told us that we were getting a discount because they were headquartered in Fort Lauderdale and their trucks were there, obviously lying about the nature of their business. They are a only broker. They do not own their trucks, and you are likely to get whoever they can find to take the load on that day. Once you pay them, they are hands-off. After that, you have to deal with whichever moving company shows up. Then, you may get a different company to drop off your belongings as well.

Anyway, the next day the drivers showed up, and they were like, "Nope, this load will cost over $5,400." We were shocked and asked, "For what?" Everything we had was what we told Gabe. The only thing we forgot was our 75-inch TV. Everything else was broken down flat, and Gabe told us it shouldn’t take up much space. He even said he had overestimated the space so we would have extra room in case we forgot something.

The moving company tried to contact them to sort out the situation, and we tried to get ahold of them as well. When we finally reached them and tried to cancel, they told us our money was non-refundable and advised us to get rid of things we didn’t need to save on space.

Tony told my that they were working with the moving company to reduce the cubic feet rate for us. The moving guy, who was listening, mouthed to us, "He's lying." We knew this because the moving guy never left our side, so we knew they hadn’t spoken as yet. He also told us that the rate they were giving us was their typical rate, not one they had agreed upon with My Move Price. We decided we couldn’t proceed with the move at such a high price.

At this point, we had only one day to find a way to move our stuff. All night, my wife spoke to Tony. He basically told her to just get rid of the things we didn't really need. He was basically working to convince her to go through with the move. With few options left because we were in the 11th hour, we decided to downsize our belongings. We spent the entire evening getting rid of things we needed but could part with for the sake of saving money.

The next day, they sent different movers who quoted us $4,600+. So, we were back in the same predicament. We had to get rid of more stuff just to get the final price down to $4,026.80.

When we finally received our belongings, all of our larger furniture arrived damaged, most permanently. We decided to file a claim since Gabe told us we were covered up to $10,000. What we didn’t know was that it was only 60 cents per pound. Now, we are stuck with damaged furniture and can’t even claim a fraction of replacement cost.

There’s so much more to this story, but folks, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Those 5-star reviews are fake. They use unfair and deceptive practices to trick people like us who are in a bind.

Long-distance move from Fresh Meadows, NY to Dacula, GA

DO NOT USE!!! SCAMMERS

Alex Miller gave us a quote and when the movers got there, off the bat, he says the price is double! We sent pictures and videos as requested. Gave Alex a detailed list of what we had. He never mentioned cubic square feet, not once. The entire conversation was based on number of boxes and detailing the items (i.e. furniture, mattresses, etc.) When the mover comes it's all about the cubic feet and the space on the truck.

Was charged an additional $200 for expediated delivery in 72 hours per conversation with Alex . The delivery took 6 days. Charged me a car transport fee that I couldn't get back even though I didn't transport my car with them because THEY wanted an additional $650 above my quote as well!

Just save yourself the headache, aggravation, and time. From Alex, to Amanda Young to Tony C. there is no responsibility, accountability, or customer service. Bunch of crooks!! I've emailed and left messages for Alex and I've yet to hear from him.

Come to find out that they are simple "brokers". Nothing more than middle men that outsource the jobs to actual moving companies!

They made an already traumatic move from NY to GA that much more unpleasant.

STAY AWAY!

Long-distance move from New Ulm, MN to Ventura, CA

Beware!

I recently hired My Move Price (MMP) to handle my move from Minnesota to California. Barry was enthusiastic for me to hire them because they “recently had a cancellation” out of Minneapolis so had room in a truck and could give me a much better price. I hired them for a quote of $4200.

I asked Barry if he would be my contact throughout and he skirted the question saying the office would take care of the inventory of my move. The process was very confusing and Tracey and Kristina, kept handing me back and forth to each other claiming the other was on vacation. I made an extensive google drive and photo inventory to ensure they estimated enough room in the truck. I told them I had done this move before and I would need approximately ⅓ of a semi truck.

On moving day, 2 men with ankle monitors showed up with a small U-Haul and told me I only got ½ of it. I needed the entire truck, which cost $2100. I paid one of them via his personal venmo and zelle accounts. I treated them respectfully, I bought them dinner, I tipped them well and at the end of the day they still chucked my belongings in to hurry back because one of them had a jail curfew. When I asked them where my truck was goin they said to a storage unit until they could schedule it. When I inquired with MMP about my delivery date of June 17th they said I now needed to communicate with the carrier: Rado Logistics.

When I talked to Alex at Rado he told me my items would not be there on June 17th, because that was my "schedule by" date. In order to have a “Guaranteed Delivery Date” I would need to pay Rado another $1700. All my belongings were now in a storage facility. I had already flown out to California with my young daughters and couldn’t stay in my AirBNB so I had to pay it. Alex reassured me my truck would arrive on the 20th. I borrowed air mattresses and slept in an empty house with my daughters.

I was then told the truck broke down and my belongings had to be moved onto a new truck. It was now going to be the 28th.

On the 28th I received a phone call from Rado saying that their driver looked at the map and could not fit the semi truck down my street. My options were A) pay another $4200 to have it all moved onto a smaller “shuttle truck” or B) I could go rent a U-Haul and meet him at a truck stop. Option B did not sound safe for a single woman so I refused. Eventually two men showed up and I paid the remainder of my original quote via Venmo to a new individual not associated with either company (so it can’t be tracked).

My furniture arrived scratched, missing knobs, and my heavy barnwood table was cracked down the middle. They took pictures and told me tthey would either send someone to repair them or submit it to insurance. After they finished unloading they asked me what day they loaded my truck. When I told them they said “wow you’re one of the lucky ones, the last lady we unpacked for this company waited 4 months!

After unloading boxes I found many were missing. Mainly the most expensive ones: the kitchen boxes. I tried contacting Rado but they ignored me. So I went back to MMP and was redirected to a new person, Amanda, in claims. She spent a few days going back and forth with “the foreman” and initially told me they FOUND my boxes! However they quickly recanted and said I should submit a claim.

I thought this would be easy since I took such an extensive inventory at the beginning of the process. I was directed to the site “MyMove Claim,” a third party processor. It was an old, clunky website with more pop up ads than I have seen in my life. I never spoke to a human, was told it would be 90 days for them to process my claim of $5000, and 3 weeks later they offered me $75 because they are only legally obligated to pay .60/pound.

I never write reviews, good or bad. I took the time to share my experience with the intention of saving another military family, or single mom from being taken advantage of by the known corrupt business practices of moving companies. Main takeaways:

*If companies are calling you on the phone, hang up. They are scam companies

*Don't focus on upfront quote. In the end I spent the same amount of money as if I would have just hired Mayflower and had ONE contact person

*Ask if your belongings will stay on one truck the whole time. Insist on it.

*If they don’t take checks or credit cards and want you to pay them via venmo, zelle, etc. don’t hire them.

*Buy insurance. I have irreplaceable family heirlooms, expensive furniture and kitchen dishes, bowls, mixers, etc that I now have to replace out of pocket because the insurance they carry only pays .60/pound. In the end, they offered me the offensive amount of $75 for thousands of dollars worth of missing boxes and damaged furniture

*Get a delivery date. A firm one. If they give you the run around about how that isn’t possible because they add other cargo to the truck that will be delivered “on the way” to your delivery, do not hire them.
