I first spoke with Anthony Grasso on 5/16, sales rep at Triple Crown Moving Systems, and we discussed my inventory list of items needed to be moved and specific dates (5/29-5/30 to ensure a 6/1 move-in date). He sent me the estimate for $1,700 and I signed the terms of agreement. Upon signing, I paid an $800 deposit over the phone using my credit card on 5/18. I never heard from him again and he ignored my phone calls and texts. The remaining was to be paid in 2 installments (1 upon pickup and 1 upon delivery).

The week of the scheduled move, Zac Reid (quality assurance), reached out to me to discuss my inventory list on 5/29 and raised my estimate 50%. I never heard from him again. I tried calling multiple times but he ignored me and did not have voicemail set up.

As Friday approached, I called customer service multiple times to let them know I did not receive any calls from a driver to confirm my pickup. It wasn’t until Saturday (5/30) that customer service answered and told me driver would be there between 1-5PM.

A driver called me at 2pm (5/30), named Amanda, and said she is not going to come until tomorrow afternoon (5/31). She confirmed Saturday night that she would be there between 10AM and 11AM Sunday. This was further pushed back to 1PM then 3PM then 5:30PM. After they claimed they were an hour out, I receive a phone call from “Americas Finest Moving” (no apostrophe) and they said I needed to fill out paperwork before movers arrive within the hour. The paperwork was a Bill of Lading that increased my price to $3,000.

After receiving this paperwork I called the driver and they said they were an hour out. I asked them to tell me what city they were in and they couldn’t answer so I asked them what state they were in so I could get an ETA, but they could not tell me that either. Upon their “arrival” claim, they continuously called my phone saying they were here and I went outside and nobody was there.

MISREPRESENT THEMSELVES AS TRIPLE CROWN MOVING!!!

David Owens and Bryan Jones lied about who they really are as a company. Told me they have 4.8 stars on google reviews which is another company. They leave off the name SYSTEMS and use a similar gold crown in their logo- I have text and voicemail proof. He said they were out of Alabama, another lie. They hire another company to move your stuff and then refuse to talk to you when the movers that come show up and it is not the company you thought you hired. Said I could use any size box as long as it was kept to just a couple of sizes, another lie. David Owens told me no more expense would be incurred on the china hutch with glass, lies, lies, lies. They are going to be reported to any and every agency I can think of. This is my elderly mother's move so I will even report them to the National Elderly Fraud Hotline. Do not hire them.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $2900

My experience with Triple Crown Moving Services was very disappointing. During the quoting process, I was upfront about the number of boxes and additional belongings I had, but I was repeatedly told everything would be fine. I was never clearly informed that I could be charged thousands of dollars more based on my inventory.

Once I paid my deposit, communication became a major issue. My calls were ignored, and I didn’t receive a response until just a few days before my scheduled pickup after I was already within the non-refundable cancellation window. At that point, I felt like I had no choice but to move forward.

I was then told I owed an additional $5,700, forcing me to leave items behind and quickly repack my belongings. The information I received at the beginning of the process was completely different from what I was told at the end. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and unprofessional customer service made an already stressful move even harder. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

I NEED MY $861 DEPOSIT and so does my brother-in-law DEMARCUS JONES because you guys bait switched him as well.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5700

!! BEWARE: Bait & Switch !! Salesman (Bryan Jones) lied about a bunch of stuff and assured me not to worry about the contract verbiage that I had the whole truck. When I asked about their company and reviews, he explicitly pointed me to "Triple Crown Moving" which is another company with great reviews, this is 100% a SCAM. Quote you a very low price and tried to add $1K to my bill the day before the move. My fault for signing contract, but when I told another employee (Zac Reid) everything the salesman promised but I still signed he responded verbatim "Sounds like he got you" with a chuckle.

Despite the lies, since they had my deposit I said I either wanted to cancel if I received a full refund (after digging into THEIR real reviews, it was all people saying to avoid and reporting similar bait & switch stories or that they never got their stuff on the promised timeline) or if I could not get a refund, I wanted to proceed with the move and I would make sure I was under the allotted cubic feet limit. Two employees verified this and said probably couldn't get a refund and the move was still scheduled to proceed as of now, but management would reach back out to me. Never heard from management, called employee (Lucy) again to say that and said as of ~9pm the night before the move was still on for 6:30am the next morning.

6:30am came and went, no contact, and when I called them they said I asked to cancel and they were keeping my deposit. When I told them I explicitly said I only wanted to cancel if I was given a refund otherwise I wanted to proceed with the move (and 2 employees could confirm that) I was told I was lying.

I called the actual company "Triple Crown Moving" & their rep said she'd received a bunch of calls in the last few few weeks from people with similar stories as mine. She said she'd be contacting BBB to report them as well.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, BAIT & SWITCH, hope this helps others to avoid getting screwed during a stressful time

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1995

This company is a bait and switch scam be warned. My card was charged nearly a grand. In initial deposit despite being quoted around 2K and the initial was supposed to be 25% of the quoted amount. They are con artists who have a long history of scamming people prior to being based out of Florida they ran the same con in Texas. Had to fight and argue just to cancel. They were unable to explain the charges and couldn’t even tell me about the movers. The best part was when the lady in customer service stated we might get our items in seven business days. Steer clear folks these are low life people who are after a quick dollar. Just thankful I cancelled before they got a chance to hold my items hostage even if I can’t get my initial deposit back. Hopefully their luck runs out and they find themselves in a federal courtroom soon.

Absolutely a complete disaster and one of the most frustrating experiences we have had with a company. We paid a hefty deposit in advance based on the company’s assurance that the services we booked were guaranteed. Despite that, at the absolute last possible minute, they failed to provide the services we had paid and planned for.

What made the situation even worse was how the company handled it afterward. Rather than taking responsibility, attempting to make things right, or even offering a reasonable solution, they refused to work with us in any way. They also refused to provide a refund or any form of compensation, despite the fact that the guaranteed services we paid for were not fulfilled.

The customer service throughout the situation was incredibly disappointing. The employees we dealt with were unprofessional, dismissive, and rude at a time when we were already scrambling to deal with a problem their company created. There seemed to be very little concern for the inconvenience, stress, and financial loss their failure caused us.

Based on the lack of reliability, poor customer service, refusal to take accountability, and unwillingness to refund money for services that were not provided as promised, I absolutely cannot recommend this company. I would strongly encourage anyone considering using them to think twice before paying a deposit or relying on their guarantees.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $4000

Hands down worst moving experience. From the deceptive initial call and Bill of Lading to the first moving van arriving 3 hours late (and the driver being a complete misogynist and me telling him to leave), to the After Hours call with Jessica (attempted to bully me and told me I would never win a credit card dispute), to the day late arrival and multiple damaged items, along with the disgusting stains on our couch, that was supposed to be wrapped in moving blankets. No idea how.many items in boxes are.missing yet or broken.

I am extremely disappointed with how this move was handled. The schedule I was given before signing was not clear, and after pickup, my belongings were moved to another location for storage. I was repeatedly told that they were waiting for a driver and truck to become available. The delivery took more than 30 days, which caused a lot of stress and inconvenience. Some of my boxes arrived in poor condition, and only a couple of workers were available to unload everything.

Unfortunately, this moving company did not meet my expectations at all. Communication about the actual delivery schedule was very poor from the beginning. After collecting my belongings, they were stored in another city while I waited for transportation to be arranged. I spent weeks without my personal items and received very little urgency from the company. When my things finally arrived, some boxes were damaged and the unloading process was rushed. I would not use this service again.

I would strongly suggest asking very detailed questions about the delivery timeline before booking. My belongings were picked up as planned, but instead of continuing directly to my destination, they were taken to storage and remained there for weeks. I had to go without essential belongings for over a month. When the delivery finally happened, some boxes showed signs of rough handling. The limited number of movers also made unloading much more difficult than expected.
