I have undergone multiple cross-continent 40-foot container household moves and never had any problems. This is the worst experience I've had!

I need to move my furniture into storage for 1 week for floor renovation. At the same time, I'm shipping my baby grand piano to my son in Saskatoon.

I stressed many times that I have a LOT of stuff, collectibles and breakables and requested that the packers pack them for me. I'm prepared for pay for the time and service and reserved for a 2-day move. I planned to have the breakables lightly packed and left in the kitchen where there's no renovation - to save time and material. No one ever came to check out the things.

DAY 1, the movers came with NO packing material, no boxes or even paper! They said no one told them! So they just moved some furniture.

They demanded e-transfer of payment of the day's service that night.

DAY 2, they came with huge Rubbermaid boxes and I questioned if they were ok to leave these boxes in my house for a week. After unsuccessful communication with these non-English speakers, I gave up and let them do whatever. Their truck was too small and cannot fit all my furniture. So they left most of those in the kitchen and took the boxes away. Another demand of immediate payment that night.

DELIVERY DAY - they demanded immediate e-transfer of payment early in the morning and virtually threatened that they will not unload unless money received! Even though they have my piano in their hands. I had some problem with my phone and the computer was "packed". But they will not take cash or cheque! If my daughter-in-law was not there to help, I can't imagine what they'd do.

No more Rubbermaid boxes were found! They delivered many large-size cardboard boxes (which they charged), not of the highest quality and some seemed used. Obviously they repacked the stuff from the Rubbermaid boxes. On opening the boxes, I found that they've just dumped contents of several desk drawers into one, and glass picture frames were not protected at all! Some things were not found to-date! Some cabinets were just moved with all contents inside. Of course they were badly shuffled around. My white fabric headboard now has black finger prints. The 2 bed bases (with drawers) that made up a king size bed were put together without removing the plastic wrap that went around them top to bottom. I have no way to lift the bases to get the plastic from underneath so now I have pieces of plastic sticking out from under the bed.

I would have written this review 6 month's ago if the piano was not in their storage!

DELIVERY OF PIANO - only 1 day advanced notice was given for the delivery. Their man drove the truck from Toronto to Saskatoon and apparently they have already left before letting me know, despite my request of an expected delivery date. On arrival, they again insisted on immediate e-transfer of payment before they would deliver. I totally understand that only 3 steps were included in the move and additional steps cost extra. But the movers would not negotiate, insisting that we haven't paid for the extra steps and left the piano just inside the house without the assembling service promised. No answer to our e-mail complaints.

The company has different names, one of them is Easy Moving. This Yuri is VERY RUDE and would not talk on the phone but insisted that everything has to be emailed. Even when I delivered some stuff to their warehouse, I had to email him to open the door!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $10000

I hired Trans movers/ easy movers from Edmonton to Kitchener Ontario on the contract we have agreed our stuff to be picked up from Edmonton 25-26 February and they showed up on 27 they deliver our stuff after 3 weeks the owner Yuri promised me it will only take 5-7 days. he charged me $45 + 13% tax for something it did not belongs to me when I asked for a refund he said its only $45 you can have it, I told him the items (vacuum) isn't belongs to me am unwilling to take somebody belonging very shame. he came to take the rest of his money to Kitchener before my belongings arrived he took his money I even tipped his workers. I provided yuri (owner) my banking information for a refund he wont respond, my stuffs are damaged I have attached some pictures bellow dishes & bowls broken furniture's scratched when I told him about the damages he asked me to send pictures because as per our agreement insurance is included ($25,000) since I sent for him the pictures of damaged stuffs he ignored all my requests and ignored me like nothing happen my sofa and coach and love seats are damaged. he didn't even say sorry he chooses to hide.
PLEASE AVOID TRANS MOVING OR EASY MOVING VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & STEALS YOUR MONEY AND STUFF .

I recently moved to a 3rd floor walk up apartment.

My armoir was too heavy to move at over 300 pounds and as tall as a door opening.

Yuri and his men were able to move it efficiently and carefully up the tight staircase.

I really appreciate their effort and would recommend them to anyone needing help moving an over sized piece of furniture.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $500

They let you pay double. We have agreed on 750$ and when the stuff were in the truck they asked for double. It was shipment from Toronto to Ottawa. After emailing back and forth Yuri agreed to give me 7% discount, so I ended up paying 1700. The contract says house hold items cost 750, and I mentioned 27 boxes 5 large and 22 medium, that was the agreement then after he charged me on almost most of the items even a medium carpet he charged me 30$. The new invoice that Yuri sent says that additional items that not in the contract but all of the items that he mentioned it’s in the 27 boxes. Yes I do agree there’s large boxes but they were among the 27 boxes. When he said additional charges I thought he will charge like 300 or 400 more not double. But I had no choice my hands were tight and I had to agree because my stuff were in his truck and my choices are null. So if you want to deal with them make sure what you are agreeing for before you get trapped. Once you pay the down payment and the stuff in their truck there’s no way you can negotiate.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1700

I hired Trans Movers/Easy Movers (the farthest thing from easy) to move my car and a small quantity of household items from Toronto to Edmonton.
At the start when I was inquiring about their service Yuri (the owner) was polite and responsive. He had promised me my things would arrive within 5-10 days. On their website it states that they do weekly runs across Canada and that is why they can provide their customers with a cheaper price(false advertising). Yuri quoted me a $2200 flat rate for my car and 20 medium size boxes. He said after that $7.99 per cubic ft would be charged. I signed the contract and transferred him $400. *They are very unorganized and forgetful, make sure you double check all the info on the contract and be as specific as possible of what you need moved because they will add extra fees (in my case an additional $700) keep all of your convos through email so you have a record. When I asked about the additional $700 Yuri just kept saying go to the moving calculator on the website. He would not explain to me how they actually measure the additional furniture so I really had no idea how much additional cubic feet I was taking up but I know it was not $700 worth.
I must of spoke with Yuri 15 times throughout the move, half the time he would not get back to my emails and text. Each time I did get ahold of him he would say my things were on the way. Sometimes he gave me exact days and the day would come and nothing. It got to the point where I said if my things do not arrive on this day then I will have to take another course of action. Once I said that my things magically appeared within 2 days. *How they get around not delivering your things when promised is in the contract it says there could be delays due to weather, strikes and circumstances beyond its control. Do not expect an explantation though Yuri will just keep saying refer to the contract.
My car was also delivered on a separate day and left in a run down towing yard and was charged a sitting fee which was never mentioned to me. My car was filthy and had a few scratches on it.
The worst part of it all was when my things finally arrived they wouldn't even open up the trailer door to let me confirm that my things were even in there. They wanted me to hand the cash over first. I refused and things escalated to the point where I almost had to call the cops. It is illegal for them to not open the doors. I was able to finally reason with the delivery driver and asked him what if you were in my situation? My things were filthy and squeezed tightly with other peoples things and my chairs were damaged and various other items were broken. They do not handle things with care or furniture wrap like they say they do on their website. The sad thing is I didn't even dispute my damages because I know Yuri would do nothing about it based off how he runs his business and other reviews I have read on here. All he cares about is money I have never dealt with a more shady business then this one. I hope I can save someone money, time and peace of mind with this review.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $2200

Don't use this company, they are total scammers! I was quoted $300 to move 2 old pieces of furniture to my daughter's house 5 minutes away. Once the truck was loaded I was told it would now cost an additional $100. When we got to the house they demanded payment in cash and would not unload until I gave them the money. Even though I was told the total price included tax, they told me that price would now be $450. I didn't have enough cash so I told them I would give them a cheque but they refused and wouldn't even give me the name of the company to write the cheque to. At this point the cost of the move was more than the furniture was worth. I told them to forget it and they could just keep the furniture. Only then did they agree to the $400 cash. I gave them the money and then they demanded a tip and told me they would leave the furniture in the driveway if I didn't hand over another $60. Total extortion!

Please don’t do mistake, do not hire them to save couple of bucks.

experience of moving from Brampton to Saskatoon was brutal.

They didn’t deliver our brand new coffee table, office chair, me and my wife long coat and deliver all stuff dirty seems like sitting outside somewhere before delivering.

Our new bed, wardrobe, dresser and side table chipped from many places.

Our treadmill with blood on it, exercise bike and dining table in bad condition.

When I asked him about my missing things he said it is not possible, I asked him then who took it???? He said I don’t know and I also asked him about my furniture and other things damage he said I can give you max $100 not more than that which is so unprofessional.

I am suggesting everyone please don’t hire them for moving, yes they are little cheaper then market but you will end up paying triple or more.

Owner name is Yuri, he is living in states, very rude and unprofessional.

We moved our belongings from Montreal to Edmonton and these people MADE OUR LIVES ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE!
I don't even know where to begin so I'll say it in point form:

1) OUR STUFF ARRIVED EXTREMELY LATE
They promised us our stuff would arrive no later than July 6th. They arrived 8 days later. We had to spend hundreds of dollars on hotel accommodations and extra days for car rental. We had to sleep in someone's basement when we just couldn't afford to keep paying for our hotel expenses.
We have 2 YOUNG CHILDREN and the experience was extremely stressful. They told us we would receive NO COMPENSATION and that there are no negotiations

2) OUR STUFF WASN'T PACKED PROPERLY
They didn't bring enough supplies to package all our belongings, and a large number of our stuff went on the truck without any wrapping at all. They promised me it would get packaged up in transit but I have VIDEO EVIDENCE showing how our belongings stayed that way when they arrived in Edmonton.

3) DAMAGES!!
They damaged our CHANDELIER upon loading it in Montreal. I spoke to them on the phone and THEY PROMISED THEY'D FIX IT but never confirmed this in writing despite me asking them too many times. They later went back on their word, and deceitfully SAID THAT IT WAS BROKEN BEFORE THEY GOT IT. This chandelier is worth hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars!
They damaged expensive LAMP SHADES that were never packaged. Like the other stuff, they were simply stuffed somewhere on the truck. They are unusable now.
They damaged the WOODEN FLOOR of the dining room in our new dwelling!
We demand compensation for all these damages but they simply ignore us

4) TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION
They constantly IGNORED MY CALLS AND EMAILS. I only got through to them either via blocked calls or having family/friends call them from other provinces. And whenever I spoke to the boss, he never had the time to talk to me and always told me to communicate via email, which they ignored as well!!

5) EXTRA AND FALSE CHARGES
Originally he demanded I pay him Quebec tax. A man doing this type of business for so long should have never done this because it is ILLEGAL. Only once I told them it was illegal did he go back and charge me Edmonton tax. The very fact that he originally charged me Quebec tax demonstrates a willingness to add on a few extra hundred dollars to the bill, which he did on many occasions.
He charged me 8 hours of packing when that wasn't even close to the case. The workers were only at our place for 7 hours. Furthermore, the last hour was not used for packing at all, but for organizing stuff already in the truck. Moreover, the workers he hired (some of which were trashy guys off kijiji, one of which wreaked of marijuana) took at least 4 long (30 minute) breaks. Not only that, THEY RAN OUT OF PACKING MATERIAL (mentioned earlier) at least an hour before finished loading up the truck.
Why on earth should I be paying for 8 hours of packing?
HE MADE ME PAY FOR MORE BOXES THAN WE HAD. It is true that we did add stuff from the original quote and I expected him to charge us extra. But he charged us WAY MORE (HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS) than we added! I made this clear in the emails and they were also ignored

6) METHOD OF PAYMENT ONLY BY CASH; REFUSED MY CREDIT CARD
He refused my credit card. He said he would only accept cash. Umm, isn't that illegal?? When I said that I wanted to pay credit card, he said that "the driver doesn't have the credit card machine". If you run a credible business, then ensure your driver has the machine!!


BOTTOM LINE: STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!

The worst moving experience possible.
Do not do business with this company. They moved me from Woodbridge to Canmore Alberta in June 2017. I received a partial shipment on June 6th and the second shipment of my contents on June 26th. They extorted more money from me for the second shipment even though this was a fixed cost move. They refused to bring the items into the house and left furniture and boxes in the garage. I continue to try and get compensated for missing and damaged items. They will not respond to my calls or emails. I have little other recourse except to charge them with theft.

It was run by a russian mafia called Yuri. He took my thing. put it in storage without my concern. His driver ran away.. hardly attended calls or replied mail. He increased our blood pressure and made us loose our peace. He delivered after 48 days. Just said 5 sorry's..so rude and stubborn. literally threatened and not ready to offer a discount. not a penny less. he made us to suffer for his failure. sick Mover.

Beware

I'll try to be short as I don't to waist much more time on this nonsense of a business.

Background:
* The company is using two business names easy-moving.ca and trans-moving.ca.
* Everything goes smoothly until you pay $200 deposit, then your arms will be twisted
* Yuri (owner) is argumentative and confrontational.
* Yuri forgets conversations and promises he made and insists that it never happen or happen differently
* Be prepared to be told by Yuri that you should have to know how the business operates, even though no terms and conditions is provided of any kind.
* Be prepared to pay more than the agreed amount (even if it's in the contract), ones your things are on track (that's how they get you)
* Be prepared to correct contract numerous times. Simple stuff like misspelled name and incorrect calculations
* Be ready to be continually following up with Yuri to remind him about the details of the agreement
* Be prepared to be always available around the schedule Trans-Moving.
* Be ready never to know, until the last day when the things are going to be picked up and dropped off. In my case, the truck arrived at 9 am even though the agreement was at 6-7pm.
* Yuri advised me that he will give me two days heads when my things will arrive in the USA. I got a call from Yuri the same day, one hour before he was coming.
* Be prepared to continually having to argue with Yuri.
* Be ready to carry your things if they need to be moved for over two flight of stairs
* Be prepared to keep on calling him and never receive a call back on time or messages replied regardless how time sensitive your matter is.


My experience:
1. Yuri (owner) mixed up the time of a pickup and then tried to accuse me of making a mistake. Until I referred to SMS message communication he was convinced the time was different.
2. My end price changed on the day of the delivery (that's how they get you), ones your things are on the track you don't have the time, not the energy to argue.
3. All my items to be moved and details of the move, such as carry my things to the second floor were listed in the contract, which by the way don't mean anything.
4. The contract itself had numerous mistakes which I had to correct in total four times and follow up many times (the website itself spells Chicago as Chikago)
5. Yuri advised me on the day of the delivery that the price is different ($200 more).
6. Yuri came alone even though it's apparent that it's a two-person job.
7. My plastic boxes were all bent out of shape and wedged inside the track, though you can see that they the truck is too small for my load
8. All my plastic boxes were saran wrapped, but when I saw them inside the truck, some of them opened. I asked Yuri why one of them was opened and the lid just laying in the track, he said he does not know.
9. Nothing was missing though.
10. Yuri advised me that he is not going to carry my staff to my unit unless I helped him. My contract explicitly stated that my items to be brought up to my unit and the floor was disclosed and agreed to by Yuri. Yuri advised me that he does not care what level it's on, is the amount of stairs is too high for him. He started to argue about his maximum of stairs the company can take items to. Long story short, I had to assist with moving.

To summarize:
Paid more money than the agreed amount
Mistakes in contract, contract not followed by the company
Personal belongings were opened
Carried my belongings to my unit.

I used this mover in September to move from Toronto to NYC. This was a terrible experience and easily the worst company I have ever dealt with. Like other reviewers here the “contract” that Yuri provided double counted more than a dozen boxes and incorrectly listed items that ended up costing more than double the initial estimate. When I pointed out the obvious mistakes to him (e.g including items like a locker and couch which I don’t own) he assured he would adjust it after the move, but this was a lie. Instead, once he has your items in storage, he will hold them hostage and tack on extra storage fees and costs that were never agreed upon. He will demand cash or an e-transfer and not a credit card so that you have no recourse for reimbursement after he blatantly violates the terms of your contract and threaten to dump your items if you do not comply. On the day of the move, he first cancelled with no notice a half hour before the scheduled time, which created an enormous logistical headache and more extra costs on my end. Then, at the rescheduled time, only a single mover actually showed up despite me paying for two, meaning I had to end up moving my furniture myself. The “storage” they provided was clearly in terrible conditions and many items were stained or dented. Ultimately this was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company and ended up costing an enormous amount of money for the privilege of moving my own items and having them ruined. They are borderline criminal and Yuri shamessly extorts you for as much money ashe can. Please listen to this reviews and others that are saying similar things and use literally any other moving company. It would have been cheaper and less stressful to have moved myself than to use this awful company.

Hiring Trans Moving for my Toronto - NYC relocation was a nightmare from which I am still trying to recover.

On top of holding my possessions hostage and extorting me to pay $1,000+ more than agreed upon, I was genuinely afraid for my bodily wellbeing, as the movers came late at night and proceeded to harass me based on my gender (woman) and race (South Asian). They were scary and making me feel extremely unsafe. I filed a complaint with the Ministry of Consumer Services but they are backlogged so I likely won't see any of my money returned for at least several more months but below is the text of the complaint letter to give further detail on my horrible experience:

Dear Yuri Amir,

As indicated in my November 28, 2022 email, the workers that performed the pickup on my moving service in Toronto conducted themselves in a manner that was abusive and harassing. As you are further aware, your workers arrived late on both the pickup and dropoff, and you charged me $1000USD more than the contractually agreed upon "flat rate" of

$3000USD. I informed you on November 29, 2022, via telephone that I contacted the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services and they advised that this constitutes a violation of the Consumer Protection Act.

I am requesting that Trans Moving Toronto issue an immediate refund of the total $4000USD paid in light of these rights violations. Please respond by end of day this Friday, February 11, 2022 with the full amount sent via e-transfer to this email address. If you fail to take this opportunity to resolve this matter I will be forced to proceed with the complaints process through the Ministry.
