This company has now changed their name to “Elite moving
services” and. also Meridian moving services. I think you will grasp the reason for the name change by the time you have finished reading this and the supporting documentation. These charges were the result of overcharging me by means of coercion and threatening to hold hostage my furnishings..This company has acted in bad faith from the day they arrived at my home on August 2 to pick up furniture until now; the original estimate was $2620.78 per Robert Stevens, a senior
moving consultant. And it was explained to me the estimate was binding. We had
an accurate inventory, box count and actually removed several items from that list. I gave a very detailed box I called Robert back and explained to him, I was removing a very large triple dresser, a huge matching mirror, a large metal glider, a full size grill, a dresser, and a few chairs. He said “great that will save you money from the original estimate" I had spoken with him directly the day before the movers arrived 3 men, with the
leader being Juan. .As they started hauling stuff out, they broke open a case of tape, and brought in boxes and cardboard for no apparent reason? My son and I were both confused, the three
movers spoke Spanish, and only one spoke broken English. And asked me if I spoke Spanish, ? I replied no.They packed
things that we had no need for with all this additional packing materials, on stuff we had already securely packed and taped. Note, we had done an excellent job having moved a total of 11 times over the years. Our so called moving consultant Robert Stevens told us, they would break down things, like beds, tables, etc. They in fact attempted to charge us to do that. While they were carting things out, we noticed they were putting boxes together, while at the same time
we were doing a final walk through with the new buyers of our home and they were very aware we were distracted. And my son believed they were simply adding empty boxes to the load. Or placing already packed boxes in the boxes they assembled.
After everything was on the truck, the lead man Juan, informed
us there was twice as much stuff as was on the estimate, which we were in total disbelief as my son and I did a box count the night before and there were no 80 boxes, and twice as much goods, when I protested Juan, told my son and I that, “he
could eyeball it and could tell there was twice as much cubic feet as there was on the estimate. No measurement was taken when asked, , the truck was closed,
no weight was given to us, and if we wanted the stuff taken off the truck we were told, “you’ll still have to pay the same amount if now we have to unload it”.
This is a clear definition of what has taken place here.Extortion.Extortion is the crime of obtaining money or
property by threat to a victim's property intimidation,
or false claim of a right. Extortion can take place over the
telephone, via mail, text, email or other computer or wireless communication. If any method of interstate commerce is used in the extortion, it can be a federal crime. -
In my conversation with Robert Stevens I told him clearly I would advise of my final destination, (as on the contract he had put Ft Pierce Florida) which he believed was the warehouse for the Southeast. And it was so clearly noted on my so called binding moving estimate that I the customer would let them know the final destination. The operative words here are, “will
advise is in the contract On or about August the I asked
them to store it for one more month, they had told me it would cost $350.00 As I was working on a rental location close to Atlanta. And I needed them to hold the shipment and he said
they would as I had paid several hundred over the binding estimate..in their New Jersey warehouse I checked with them a few weeks later, and was told again “we are holding it in NJ.” When I called for delivery to Atlanta, some man named "Leo " told me my stuff had been moved to Florida, I asked why on earth would you do that ? He said he had been
given a Florida address and had already attempted delivery?
Being this was a blatant fabrication by him, I asked him to where? He could not tell me he said I I will check and call you back, he never did.I called him 2 days later after calling 2-3
times a day and informed him no one had given him any address anywhere from my household and he was in error. I further explained to him the sales rep Robert
Stevens had been told the day we booked the move we most likely would be in Atlanta and that we were still up in the air, we were told “no problem, we have a warehouses in both Atlanta as well as NJ.so when I want delivery, advise them”.
When I called to speak to the dispatcher to set the delivery address, (Leo) got very angry started swearing and informed me it would now cost an
additional $1700.00 ? I stated that "nowhere in the contract did I give him Florida, or any address to deliver to until this phone call, And there exists no contract of any kind for tho be shipping it all over the place. My only call for delivery was to take it to the Atlanta area where we wanted it.
He started screaming again, and he said "if I didn’t pay it by either cash or credit card, I would never see our chit again" and hung up on me once more.>
This is called coercion, or pretty damned close to it I called back a few days later, and asked if we could use a credit card for this bill which now had tripled ! I was then informed if I used a credit card he was going to add additional another 5% onto the bill as he preferred cash.(no paper trail I am sure)
Adding to the already over charged amount of almost an additional $2900 in addition to the nearly $2900.00 I had already over paid on an estimate of $2600.00.and at the time of pick up told the driver Juan, that was all I was going to pay, and refused to sign the electronic invoice which he then later signed my name and it emailed to me. My research say’s Forgery is the faking of a signature without permission, making a false document or changing an existing document without
authorization. When I addressed it with the salesman Robert, he said “its no big deal, they do it often which enables them to actually transport my goods and not to worry about it, I paid already by check” This is blatant robbery, as attested by the original invoice, the jacked up invoice by Juan, the charge s to haul it from their warehouse in Florida to Woodstock GA. And
never once did I ever get a bill of laden, a letter of explanation, a tear sheet, a weigh or scale slip. Documents forged, coerced and threatened with the disappearance of my property. I have sent both police and FBI 40 complaints for the
very same activities in part and in whole by this company and have attached for them to this series of mails. which is in less than a year an extraordinary number of complaints all
indicating the same modes operand This Company has a track record of these activities, and I have supplied law enforcement with multiple examples of their practices. Most people are simply happy to get their stuff returned, and put this horrible
experience behind them. I on the other hand am not willing to be taken advantage of. The 21 complaints with The
BBB end up getting closed after 90 days automatically, as I was told the usual reason, consumers don’t bother or are too busy to keep the process going. All
the BBB does is note there was a complaint and after 30-90 days close the file, but does note complaints were made and leave out the details. In addition the single government agency Federal Motor carriers Safety Administration Household Goods Program who’s website at a minimum is t difficult to maneuver or make consumers aware that there even is a
place to lodge a complaint, has four complaints this year, most people again just let it slide, I am sure if one was to dig deeper, yet a lot of people simply allow it to happen and don't file a complaint or post it.
And for the record, at no time did I advise them to move my furnishings from NJ to Florida provide
an address, and at no time did I agree to a surcharge, short of being coerced and at no time did I get a tear weight or any kind of accurate
measurement of my goods. No such documents exist, and I never have seen anything from them. And to add to this, when I called them on the 15 of September to provide a delivery address, Leo was about as rude as you could
be, telling me when asked if they were still going to reassemble my furniture, he said “ NO ! we just going to throw it all against the garage “ I called again on the 21 they did have the correct address for delivery, then informed me, we will try and get it to you between the 1 and 5th of October. Which is totally different than what he told me the
week before? So in conclusion, this company or companies in this shell game, has made a practice of scamming people and ripping people off. I have been coerced, threatened, overcharged, a victim of forgery and in essence blackmailed to pay up or else! And I for one have already over paid, and fully expect the Sheriffs department and the FBI
To look at all of this and proceed with a criminal investigation as this is clearly criminal. Please also note I am a senior at age 66 and that brings with it additional issues.
I was given an estimate by Robert one of the supervisors, and continued to update my detailed list with him. At the time of the move three guys show up and proceed to produce tape and extra boxes. The items were already packed and placed into a storage unit. Only a double bed and2 dressers were packed at the house. I even had a box and mattress that was thrown out rather than moved. Roberts estimate was 634 cubic feet, for an agreed price of 2292.76. When they finished loading all items the grand total was 1100 cubic ft. and the price was now 4132. Even Josue stated that my item list and the final list was not that far off, and that the estimate done by Robert there Company Supervisor was grossly understated. Had I know that this would b e the cost I would have never hired these people. Two days later they call and say that deliver would take place that day. We were told at min 3 day max 7 days . We were not yet in Fla and I left a message to that effect with dispatcher Juane. I was left hanging for a week before I was contacted again for delivery. As you can well image my good were thrown around and a lot of items were broken, and smashed. I have left messages with dispatch and the company phone lines, and to this date no one has had the good grace to even return a phone call. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this company to anyone. I can understand why the changed their name.
Please save yourself the headache and unnecessary stress and read all the negative reviews about this company and you will notice a consistency with them. I recently dealt with this company and I have to say I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but this company had me so stressed out over a recent move I made from PA to NV that I had to take the time to write a review to hopefully keep others from falling a victim like I did. I will try and keep this review as short as possible but feel it is important to provide as much detail as possible to provide truth to the reasons I am giving this company a HORRIBLE review! I will also be filing a claim with the BBB after I complete this review, as will the other 3 people that I referred to this company!
This company, and all parties involved are the biggest scammers when it comes to bait and switch! I unfortunately referred several people to them that were also moving right around the same time that I did and they all had the SAME experiences that I had. I truly believe that the positive reviews that are done on this website are done by friends and family of the company in order to try and cover up the bad reviews that are the TRUE words from customers.
I dealt with Robert as my Sales Rep and from the start he seemed to very organized and on top of things, as the reason for me referring 3 other people to this company. He provided me with a quote of $2785 for approx 750 cubic ft (I have a 2 bedroom apt, no appliances and only a bed and small dresser in the 2nd bedroom). I went over every item that I had in my apt with Robert and then he provided the recommendations for additional boxes, etc that would be needed. Since he is the professional I trusted he was accurate with what he was quoting me on. Other companies that I received quotes from where around $3500 and these were all companies that came onsite to do a walk through with me. I expressed my concern to Robert based on what other companies provided me for a quote and Robert was quick to promise me their goal is to be price competitive and that the price he quoted me would be the best and lowest. Robert had me convinced that using TP was the best option for me, I proceeded by paying a deposit to secure the date that I needed the movers to arrive and pick up my stuff. I was also very upfront with Robert on my pick up date and my delivery date that I was on a strict schedule based on availability of resources on my side to assist me with the delivery of my goods once they got to NV and he again ensured me I would be taken care of and all dates were secured and all pricing was also secured. He even went as far as putting me on hold so he can 'verify with the owner’ that everything was okay.
The movers showed up on my promised moving date but they were about 3 hours later than the promised time. Okay not a big deal, but unfortunately that should have been a sign to me that there was where the HELL would begin. First of all it was a team of 3 guys, one lead guy, who was so rude and arrogant, and the minute he walked through my apt he immediately stated that my quote was way off and the price you were quoted wasn’t going to be accurate so I asked the question of okay what price are you thinking, but of course he couldn’t give a straight answer of what amount I was looking at. Next he proceeded to tell me that stuff that I had packed wasn’t an acceptable packing method and I would need to get (purchase) boxes from them in order for them to move most of my stuff (hanging clothes need to be in wardrobe boxes, and all items must be in bins or boxes, no exceptions). I immediately got on the phone with Robert and explained none of this was explained to me and I would NOT purchase wardrobe boxes. Well of course Robert, with scamming sales man charming ways, again proceeds to tell me no worries we will compensate you for the wardrobe boxes and apologized to me for the miscommunication and ensured that everything would be okay. I was very honest with Robert and stated I ready at that point to pull the plug and tell the movers to leave but Robert insisted everything would be okay. He went on to say that because I referred so many other customers to him that he would be make sure that I was taken care of. Well once the movers were all done moving everything they came back with an updated quote of $6800. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? So I once again IMMEDIATELY got on the phone with Robert and was very firm with him I was NOT agreeing to that price and they could unload my stuff and I would be happy to contact one of the other companies that were more upfront and honest with pricing since they did a walk-through of my apt with me and still came out cheaper! He again insisted that he spoke to the owner of the company, Leo, and what I was quoted was all I would pay and not to worry about it. That Leo would handle everything once my stuff was brought back to the warehouse. Robert went as far as telling me that the crew that was at my apt to move me was not a ‘typical crew that they use’ that they had so many moves scheduled this day they it was a last resort crew since they wanted to ensure that my moving date was completed as promised and he would provide the feedback to Leo to ensure they don’t use this crew again for a while. So my stuff leaves and I think well I am at least 50% done with this move, but it only got worse.
I was promised May 16 of the date that my stuff would arrive but got a call from someone at the company on Sat May 10th to advise they need to know if the window of time May 14-18 would be okay for delivery as they needed to get my stuff on a truck that was leaving with within the hour or else I wouldn’t have my stuff until after the 23rd. So let me get this straight I was promised a price, that was a lie, and I was promised a date and now that was a lie…..So I proceeded to hang up and call Robert who once again advised everything would be okay, was it possible for me to contact my apt complex and see if I could get my move in date moved up a day or two just to ensure I had a window of time covered in case they were able to show up early? I was NOT happy about but try to understand the logistics of the move across country and the regulations of the drivers, so I contacted my apt complex, had the Property Manager go through all types of approvals and paperwork to get my move in date moved up 2 days (realizing this date was only about 4 days away) and had to run back to my apt complex and sign the updated lease, all while also trying to stay focused on starting a new job. I did all that only to have them call me later in the week and tell me that my stuff never left on Sat night and that the driver would be there Sat May 16th as promised! At this point I am SO mad! To make matters even worse, it was Leo, the arrogant owner of the company, that called me to tell me this information and then he wants to start talking about the price I was quoted and how they aren’t going to uphold that price that the $6800 is the price I will need to pay. So I proceeded to express my concerns to Leo about how this whole moving process was handled. Also noting that I did make several calls to Robert who wouldn’t return my call or answer my phone call, but amazing that when I blocked my phone number and call him he answered the call but immediately hung up once he heard my voice. So Leo and I didn’t have the most pleasant phone conversation and all he did was feed me a line of crap about how he needs to feed his family and he has been in this industry for over 20 years and there is no way he could provide moving services for under $6800 from PA to NV and make any money off the deal. I threatened legal action, threatened to contact BBB and social media blast his company and it was amazing how his whole tone changed. Long story short I was able to get him down to $4300 but it was still $1500 more than what I was quoted and I wasn’t happy I just wanted my stuff to arrive being that I had lots of sentimental stuff that was moved or else I would have probably said keep my stuff I can replace everything and it would be cheaper.
So my stuff arrives on Sat May 16th, it was a team of 2 guys who immediately start talking tips and making sure I take care of them, blah blah blah….like I didn’t have enough BS with this company already…..I just ignored all comments but again started opening boxes and realized that all my dishes and several of my glasses were broken. So I proceeded out to the truck to look at the logistics of how they had stuff packed and I noticed boxes with FRAGILE written all over them were packed on the floor of the truck with plenty of other heavier items on top. I even took a picture of the truck with the packing just to have it in case it was needed. Overall my experience with this company was beyond BAD and there is NO ONE in this company that you can trust. They are all scammers and they know exactly what they are doing and it’s really sad that taking advantage of people during the duress of moving only to find their own lively hood is okay. I am really hoping I get answers from the BBB and I will continue to share my experience on social media sites and maybe even contact my local news company, but I still feel I deserve the $1500 back that I was over charged and this company should be shut down before they take advantage of another person! Thank you for your time!

14 It was always my dream to live in California and finally I could afford to do just that. I found Top Quality Moving Services online and gave them a call. My only concern was that I love my books and just a thought of carrying those (I have more than 1500) over 3000 miles would make me break out in a sweat. Little did I know three days later I would have a 3 man crew was standing in my house packing my precious books into the cute little boxes. I pretty much left all the furniture behind, because I wanted a fresh start, but these men made my relocation to my new beginning easy like a Sunday morning. Big thanks to the office staff, dispatch department and of course the movers. Best move I ever had! PEOPLE, USE THEM - THEY ARE AMAZING!! .
I decided to use Top Quality Moving Services for my move to Concord, NH as my parents and my sister have both used them in the past and recommended them to me. I can honestly say that Top Quality Moving Services is a fantastic company and really did take the stress out of my move. Initially I was a bit worried about my furniture being damaged due to my previous moving company scratching quite a few pieces of furniture but Francisco and his team were really careful and wrapped all my furniture in blankets in the back of the van resulting in not a single scratch or mark to be seen on my furniture! I would really recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a moving company for their move. Hopefully I will be moving again next year and will 100% be calling them again.
Moved in Connecticut to Texas. This is my first move & I want to put some highlights here,so newbie will learn from my experience. Having an Estimate On the phone by an Agent is more like waste of time. I spent about 2hrs on the phone to Itemize my stuff, in facton the day of moving, I carried less on what we discussed. I have the minimum pickup which is 500cf. The Agent won't mention to you that TV MUST be in a Box or else, it's $100 for the box, you have to wrap your mattress as well in plastic, or else they will charge you for $20each. That were the few surprises. On pickup day, the movers were late. They given me 1-5pm Pickup time, but called me at 5:20pm and said they are coming between 7-9pm.Very inconvenient as I have waited all day for the pick up. I have instructed the movers, to what is to prioritize on loading up the truck, BUT they will load tall the boxes first then lastly the BIG items. Overall, it's average experience, as the Estimate Itemize on Phone were so 50% less as I have put it. If you're moving first time. Expect the itemization on phone as half as it is going to be on Pickup date. The good thing on this company is that they will tell you right off the bat if you are exceeding on your contract. .
When you are looking for a moving company it's hard to figure out which one to choose. I tried getting quotes from alot of different movingg companies. What I found was a varying amount of prices and the amount of volume or weight for my stuff was different among alot of the companies. I had a company come out to my residence and do a on sight quote when they were finished their price was alot higher then the other companies. So I went to back to the quotes I had got on the phone. The only company that was close to the amount of stuff I was told I had from the on sight estimate was Top Quality Moving Services. I called them back and told them what I had done with the company that came to my home andf told them the volume they had given for my stuff. Top Quality ajusted their quote to match the other companies and gave me the new price. When the crew showed up at my home on the move day everything Top Quality told me was right on the money and the amount of stuff was with in a few cubes of what I was quoted. I highly recemmond this company. I would like to thank Top Quality Moving Services for a job well done.
I would like to share my moving experience with anyone who is looking for a mover. I fell very strongly saying that Top Quality Moving Services are the best moving company I have ever used. ( I have moverd 10 times in the lat 7 years)From the first phone call until the movers showed up I felt very comfortable with Top Quality MOving Services. When I would call in they always answered the phone and were quick to respond to my emails. When the crew showed up at my home they were the best I have ever seen they are like machines going from room to room dis-assembling things and wraping them with the clean blankets. When I received my item's 4 days later I found everything to be in tact just as when it was packed. I love this company they are the best ever. I highly recommend Top Quality Moving Services. If you are moving call them," They Are The Best".
I'm writing this review to let everyone know that Top Quality Moving Services is a fantastic moving company. I used the for my move to California. They were early on the pick up and on the delivery. The men were great about pack my stuff and then delivering my item's out to Calif. I looked around for a mover there are alot of choices make sure you check out what kind of history the company has had.I choose Top Quality Moving Services because of the professionalism they displayed and the fact they took the time to acount for all of my things.I would use them again.
My husband and I moved from New Hampshire To South Florida in early June. The whole process of moving was made so easy by Top Quality Moving Services. Each appointment was kept and on time. Cliff gave me pointers on packing and being ready for the move. The movers were very efficient and I was impressed that before they started they covered all my hardwood floors and carpeting. After all the furniture was loaded there was not a nick or scratch on any walls on floors. When we arrived at our new home they were very careful unloading and demonstrated much patience as I decided where to put my furniture. We appreciated the call the next morning from Robert checking to see how everything went. We will highly recommend Top Quality Moving Services to anyone looking for a highly efficient moving company. We gave them five stars but would have rated them higher if that were possible.
GHWe used Top Quality Moving Services and they did a fab job!! My boyfriend and I moved from Vermont to FL To MD and it only took 6 days, I was very surprised!! We had a ton of stuff including our piano and they transported our items swiftly and successfully. They allocated the proper amount of room for the truck and we didn't get charged more for that very reason. Of course they charged us extra for the piano but that was ok as long as they took great care of 'Benny'LOL.. THANKS GUYS!
After making 19 moves over the past 44 years, I can attest that Top Quality Moving Services ranks as one of the best movers in the business. My experience started with the highly professional and personable service form Robert Stevens, the sales executive. After a misunderstanding in how I wanted to store and ship my goods, Robert took swift action to make the necessary changes to accommodate my desires. He also hand-selected his top team to complete the packing and loading of my household goods. We had a lot of antique furniture and other high-value items that required special packing. Earl and his crew did an exceptional job of going beyond my expectations to ensure that my valuable goods received the very best protection that the industry could provide. To attest to the quality of work they did, the agent at delivery said that this was the best packed shipment that he had seen in his career. As move coordinator, Lori did an outstanding job of responding to my unique request as well as helping to solve billing-related and other issues. She was always very courteous and timely in making sure that I was satisfied. Above all, the entire team at Top Quality Moving Services made me feel like a valued customer. They were very proficient and handle my goods with tender loving care. They also went out of their way to protect my newly remodeled home.I want to thank the entire team for a job extremely well done!
Top Quality Moving Services - Representative John Zellers lied and told me that Top Quality Moving Services owned the trucks and employed the drivers and crew. When the move took place, "3 hours late" the driver explained that they are not employees of Top Quality Moving and the fact I owed 300.00 in addition for 2 bulky items. They flat out told me I pay or they will not move my goods. I could not reach John Zellers at the time this occurred. These 2 bulky items were included with the original estimate and photoed on an inventory sheet that John Zellers used to create my estimate. They basically held my move hostage. Needless to say I paid the additional cost as not to delay the event. The next day John Zellers called me and told me it was to late for him to do anything about the overcharge. When my goods arrive at the new location I was again told I owed 250.00 more as the distance was 75 feet from my house to where the truck was parked. I tried to contact John Zellers but as usual, he was not available. I paid the additional cost to have my belonging delivered. Messages were left for John Zellers and he has yet to return my calls. Highly recommend NOT using Top Quality Moving Services 100 INDUSTRIAL PARKE DR N COOL BAUGH, PA 18466 John Zellers 201-355-3545 http://topqualitymovingsys.com.
An office colleague recommended Top Quality Moving Services to me and while I was reluctant to use them, I had to go by my colleague’s view. I thought she made up all the stories she told but I was wrong. From the first phone call which was very pleasant where I had to walk from room to room and describe every item in order to have a very detailed inventory so that my price would be accurate. Up until the day the crew showed up to dis-assemble all of my furniture and then to pad wrap and blanket all of my items with clean sanitized pad wraps. I had a firsthand experience with the professionalism of these movers and believe me it was more than I expected. I am sure that there are no better movers than these guys. I highly recommend Top Quality Moving Services to anyone looking for professional moving services in Florida.
I called Top Quality Moving Services to get an estimate and not like all the other movers I called before them, that just took a list of items and gave me a quote over the phone. The guy I spoke to John did ask me a few questions but as soon as I told him I had a 2 bedroom apt he told me it would be better to send someone out to my place to look at it all so as I can get an accurate quote. (I liked this guy!!) He set up an inhouse visit for a few days later and Alanzo came to meet with me and my wife. He gave me some pointers on packing some of my things cheap!! (I like this guy too!!) He gave me a reasonable price and promised satisfaction. On move day the guys they sent were very kind and full of energy! They did a terrific job and when the bill came ?? surprise!! surprise!! Not a penny more than the estimate!! Wow I really like these guys!! I was so happy to see my grandfather clock tic toc-ing at my new place in Florida!! What a relief, my Dad gave me that clock may he rest in peace! So I would highly recommend Top Quality Moving Services they did a really awesome job for us and a lot of people I've read on here say the same so it's true Top Quality Moving Servicess are the ones to call!!
TOP QUALITY MOVERS! Haha!!
I don't know who has been writing the good reviews below, but it would not surprise me if it was the shady guys that work for top quality movers.
I had the unfortunate opportunity to let these guys move my possessions across country, big mistake. To make this review not long winded is hard but I'll try my best..
It started with us speaking to one of their representatives to get prices..we sent a list of items, they gave a price estimate based on cubic ft..a price that we agreed on, we decided to move forward with them and book a pick up/moving date.
Three guys then came abruptly steaming into my apt, one straight to the toilet, the other then complained that I'd not packed everything correctly..sofa..a few box shaped/ easily stackable items..he then continued to tell me that they could pack it all for a fee..a very large fee..one that doubled our estimate at least. At this point I'm very aware that that's how moving company's have you by the balls, I called our rep at their "headquarters" and he apologized he had for 1) not added our extra items to our estimate 2)not explained the extra packing charges..so agreed to eat some of the extra cost and cut us a deal, so with my flight already booked for the next morning, "Let's do it" I said, I had no choice..I had to get it done.
They finished up..carelessly using countless and expensive tape/boxes etc, loaded the truck and left.."wow" I thought, the stressfull part is over..I was wrong, very wrong.
8/9 days later the truck arrived to my new apt building..part of the original payment was that the guys would come to my place, pack up and take apart any furniture ,load up, and the same would happen this end..nobody turned up to move us in..not a soul. But that's not even the half of it.
Our truck driver refused to drive down a service road that many trucks have driven down, I see 7/8 trucks down there a day..it's a service road, one that leads straight to our frieght elevator..but again and again he refused..demanding we pay him more to park illegally so he can unload our stuff on to the street!! THE STREET!! "Where are the guys that are supposed to move us in?? The ones we paid for?" His very unsure and unbothered response of "I don't know" was all I got out of him.
The street he parked on was 80 yards away from the elavator..that's how far my wife and I had to carry our stuff..he refused to help, would not even lend us a dolly, and demand we give all the blankets back there on the street!..so there we were..blazing hot sun, ferrying everything we owned down a dirty/dusty access road.
We loaded in, tried to relax, took many a deep breaths. Gathered ourselves.
The next day we called our rep, he said he could give us a check for our troubles..I don't want to talk numbers but put it this way..it was nowhere near enough for moving ourselves into our own apt, when we already paid them to do it. The rep then gave us his managers number.
I called this "manager" (I use this term for him very loosely) and told him all that happened and thought it's only right for them to reimburse us for the work they didn't do, he seems relatively nice to start with, but I got the impression it was going to get nasty and this would be one of those long drawn out phone battles.
I told him about the truck, and that I had pictures of other trucks, as well as all our belongings dumped on the street. He said to send them so I did.
This "manager" did not get back to me, even after leaving constant emails, phone messages, voice mails etc..nothing..I then called and he picked up..instantly screaming to which he was obviously defending the fact that they were in the wrong..telling me I'd sent pics of a different building, "what are you talking about, look on google maps or ask the police, it's the same building!!", he kept screaming and defending "I can go and take random pictures of trucks on the highway!", I answered "THE HIGHWAY!! These are pictures from outside my house!! Lol you can't deny it" ..this was all for the truck, I said "regardless of the truck, if it did get to the elevator, where were the team to move me in?? Nowhere!" He continued to be rude and talk to me like I'm the idiot in this conversation.
It ended with him offering us a measly $50..$50! If you've ever moved across country or even the next couple of states, you'll know that this is a terrible offer..terrible. I declined and said how sickened I am with the fact that I paid for a service, a lot of money for a service, and his company did not stick to their end, he hung up and I've not talked to them since, I'll leave that to my attorney/ small claims/BBB.
It's no surprise they don't have a yelp site..they told us why.."we care about what we do.." Could have fooled us.
Do not use this company for anything at all, it's a joke, and run by amateurs.
