Run Run Run Run.

Is there a rating lower than POOR!? Guess they changed their Name but the Beltline address is still the same- This guy John is a piece of work! He is a Dateline/ 20/20 nightmare show in the making- mark my words! He will pretend he's your pisan from New York & you're buddies & give you  great conversation over the phone but he talks a good game & he is nothing but a scammer. The quote you one price & tell you something different when your stuff is finally on the truck & they're ready to go. We had to borrow $700 extra from our friends/neigbors on our moving day because they explained how an ex employee of theirs, quoted the incorrect price & that there was nothing he could do & after TRYING to explain to his non speaking movers, he told me over the phone- he was on his way to us to square this error away- THAT never happend & even though we had a contract- we still owed the extra $700!! All our stuff was on the truck, we were 5 hrs from our new home & my husband was so irate that he was about to fire them & make them take all of our stuff off the truck- due to me getting emotional & crying- He just paid it & we dealt with them after!  I mean what do you do when your entire life is on a moving truck after 4 hrs of packing & loading- Do yourself a favor- READ ALL OF THESE REVIEWS & then RUN!!

Absolutely Worse Than Hell.

Statewide movers is a total disgrace to the human race. How a business can function like this and still remain operational is disgusting, but they get you with the most experienced and smooth talking 'VP'- John Grimaldi. If you hear his name, drop the phone. This man lies so much that he doesn't even know the difference between his past sentences. I was quoted a price to move from Lawton, OK to Winn, Nevada. On the day of the move, the price changed by $4700!! The guys who did the actual move changed it at my house because I had more stuff than I quoted their office. Who lies about what they are moving? I had to change to a weight based move which he(John Grimaldi) had prided himself that they didn't do. With the weight based move, it reduced the 4700 to 2500, but still this was 2500 more than I was guaranteed by John. Anyway, it took 2 and a half more weeks to get delivery and many items were messed up. I paid for a full move and the delivery guys dumped a lot of stuff in my garage and didn't unpack anything and were RUDE!!. OmG! This company can cause you to think of doing the unthinkable to another person.Pls, in God's name, run for your life!!

Long-distance move from Texas to California

Thanks Statewide Movers Inc!

This was my first move - and I was nervous. I've had so many friends and family members that have hired moving companies and been royally screwed over by them. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to having my own experience. I received quite a few quotes before making my final decision, and it came down to two major points. #1 - price. #2 - comfort level. I spoke to John and within the first 5 minutes on the phone, I was at ease. Not only did they give me the most competitive quote but John was such a nice man and really took the time to go over everything with me, answer all my questions & make sure that I felt confident with my decision. I can honestly say - I have never been happier with following my gut instinct. Statewide Movers Inc was spectacular!! They were professional, kind, thorough & amazing! If you're looking for a company that still believes in good business, look no further. Thanks Statewide Movers Inc & thank you John for taking such good care of me!

Long-distance move from Texas to Kansas

Please don't use this company!!

This move cost us $6600.00. We move alot with my husbands job and this was the first and last time we will use movers. We had a 4 bedroom house we had just bought. All of our furniture was less than 3 months old. Everything was brand new down to the tvs. All furniure was damaged except 2 pieces. They showed up to move us in a Budget truck that I was told was not big enough to move my stuff in. I had to leave alot behind on the curb because it was going to take them about 4 hours to go unload in storage and come back. They refused to get another truck. Then the driver called me when they were going to deliver in Iowa. There was flooding in parts of the state. I kept Mike posted on this. Anyway the driver was way behind and didn't have anyone to help him unload. We had to do it. My son got paid $12 an hour to help. I wrote a 5 page grievence letter to the ins. company. This was in July 2011. It is now January 18, 2012 and I'm still waiting to hear on a settlement. I have been getting the run around for months. So next week I will be filing a lawsuit against this company. Please don't use this company. I wish I would have found this website before I used this company!!

Long-distance move from Texas to Tennessee

An absolute dissapointment..These people will be in Jail Soon..Stay away!! THIS.

THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN REJECTED BY THE BBB

Simply, this is not a moving company these are 2 Jewish guys with false names (John and Jack) who are stealing money from people left and right and think no one will stop them. Read the posts on the BBB website before you deal with this company and you will see what is going on. I am currently filing a law suit against this company.

The only good reviews written about this company are written by the owners themselves !!

Low integrity, No Morals you are dealing with criminals, who employ illegal immigrants to do the dirty work to make money, a complaint has also been sent to the immigration office to pay this company a visit

Long-distance move from Texas to Massachusetts

Beware!

I have been dealing with this company for about a week. John the "owner" first asked for a detail list of my items I needed to move. I had an itemized list. He gave me a quote. I did get about 10 other quotes. I talked in length with John and he assured me this was a binding quote. I asked about other hidden charges.(I was a little nervous about moving companies due to horror stories). He said not to worry there wouldn't be extra distance, stair charges etc. He told me the packing was included in the quote. The day the movers got to my storage untit the driver called me and said the quote was way off. I called John and he told me that perhaps I had forgotten some things. By the way the driver was adding about DOUBLE what I said I had. I could believe what I was hearing. I called John and he told me not to worry he would take care of things. 4 days later John says that we do owe the extra money. Long story short they still have our things, are extremely rude and unprofessional, don't back down until they have your money. Do not use this company. They were dropped by the BBB!

Do Not Use This Company.

Whatever you do, do NOT use this company. Obviously by some of the reviews, there is a slight chance that you may have a good experience with them. However, go back to google and check out the majority of the reviews on them. They underquote initially and then raise the quote tremendously upon pickup. And it is unreal how rude they are to the customers. Overall, worst moving experience of our lives.

Worst Moving Experience Ever-do Not Use-they Are Dishonest.

My husband did thorough research in choosing a moving company. We had another company come and do an estimate which was reasonable. Statewide movers claimed that they would beat our initial estimate so we booked with them. Booking them was our first mistake. My husband was in communication with Statewide (John) who sugar coated everything to make it seem like they actually cared about more things then money. The movers arrived on the date promised (although an hour late) and things during the initial loading phase was ok, although I was alarmed when they rolled up in a budget rent a van. After everything was loaded they informed me that the estimate was going to be DOUBLE the quote. I was upset and almost in tears as I felt we were being taken advantage of. My husband had already moved so I called him right away. He called John who assured us that there must be a mistake and he would look into in and call us back "that day" . He would never call us back, we had to call back repeatedly. When we would finally reach him he would once again sugar coat everything and assure us he would take care of it and that we were looking at at least a $500 dollar discount. The driver called and asked to deliver early (which was not possible since we were not yet there). We were then told we may not get our stuff for a few weeks. After we arrived at our new home we got an unexpected call from the driver that our stuff was close. We called John (AGAIN) to see the money status. After 3 messages and 2 emails we finally got through. He told us that he could authorize a $250 dollar discount and he would send us the other $250 in the mail (which of course never came). Just wanting this nightmare to end we agreed. The moving truck arrived and I was shocked to see how our stuff was handled. Almost every box was dented/flattened and damaged. Our brand new wooden furniture had gouges/scratches. Our excersize machines were scratched. They threw boxes into a corner in the house will little regard to size (ie placed a wardrobe onto of small boxes!) and fragile stickers. They lost the screws to put the bed together and were going to leave without installation. Dishes/frames were broken (not surprising) and complaining about the heat and how much stuff we had was muttered by the movers.

Overall both my husband and I cannot believe that in this day of age there can be a company such as this in which they charge you a fortune to treat you and stuff like garbage. We wanted this review to be made public as moving is a very stressful time and it is the least we can do to try to save you the grief we went through. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with and have moved almost a dozen times.

Please do not use this company and tell your friends!!

Flawless!

I just can't say enough about this company! I called Statewide needing to relocate ASAP for my new job they were able to accomodate all my timeline requests AND offered great service too! My moving day was extremely simple and the day my items arrived was equally easy. Everything was in great condition, and the crew was second to none. Thanks to Statewide and all the staff for a flawless move!

Long-distance move from Texas to North Carolina

BEWARE!! Would NEVER recommend them to anyone!

I was quoted a moving price of $1000 by John. They showed up two hours late in a Budget rental truck and a bag from Home Depot where they had just stopped to buy a screw driver and wrenches right before they arrived(yes, I saw the receipt in the bag). After they loaded everything on the Budget Rental truck, the price jumped to $2100 which they force you to pay because they have all ready loaded the truck. The movers damaged a wall in my apartment and John sent them to Home Depot to buy supplies to repair but it was half done and still needed to be repaired after their half attempt. John does not return calls and after several attempts to contact him and being told by a female that he was "on the other line" I had the driver of the delivery truck call him and my call was returned. He agreed to discount $200 but then became upset when I told him I was unhappy with the service and starting yelling and refused to honor the discount. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
