My mom and dad made a move during this winter and I was really scared that this would not be a good idea. My mom was doing the shopping for who would get the job and everyone was offering really low prices I thought. I told my dad that it sounded too good to be true and he agreed. The next day I called around and was quoted much different prices than my mom was. One company my mom had missed was this company Southeast Van Liens. It was funny because they had quoted me a lower price then everyone else did and higher then all the quotes my mom was given. It sounded like they was the only ones that did not seem like a scandal. This is sad that other companies are like this but not this one. They told me stories of other companies and it sounded scary. The truth is that these guys are the truth. They kept it real with me from the start. My mom and dad were very relieved that I had intervened with the decision making on their move. Great work everyone and Momma and Pops said excellent work and thanks as well.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6590

I was informed when the drivers arrived that my move would be $2200 more than the original estimate. I spoke to the sales rep Stuart, who texted me on June 30th verbatim that I'm "booked for full packing service so that overrides the standard portion of the contract. We will do everything and bring everything." Stuart also texted that "we will need to go over the list one last time a couple of days before the move" but he never called me, or sent anyone out to provide an in- person estimate to at least prepare me for the additional fee. Page 4 of the contract also states "Personal checks will only be accepted at the time of pick-up if there is at least 3 business days before delivery takes place." but Stuart never called to confirm the inventory list or collect the payment balance, so I had to go to the bank while the movers were in my home to get a money order. When the driver arrived and I asked to speak to his manager, Jennifer, she was rude, condescending, and hung up on me without an apology for the miscommunication. The contract states "Courteous, professional and experienced move crews of no less than 2 men at origin and destination" but perhaps this only applies to the movers, not management. A huge concern with the employment labor laws of this moving company, given that one of the workers had been working since 5 am that morning without a lunch break in 100-degree weather and collapsed on my bedroom floor, unconscious until the ambulance and police arrived. This added an additional delay to my move by 1 hour. Finally, there was nothing in the contract that stated the moving company would be hiring outside contractors. When we arrived at my destination, I was informed that they hired 2 random movers off CraigsList to help me unpack. I was never made aware of this, so now there are strangers in my new home, that know where I live. They just told me to 'put my valuables up while they were there because we don't know them.' The most horrendous experience I've had with a moving company.

My experience mirrors almost exactly Mr. Butler's experience (above, posted Aug13,2022) down to being extorted for $2200 more before packing began. The only difference in my experience mirroring his is that the overworked gentlemen who passed out on his bedroom floor walked through my front screen door, destroying it.

After the move was finished the crew foreman, Josef or Joseph (he signed both names on different docs), acknowledged that they had failed to deliver five boxes that they had packed, along with a chair and some personal effects. They also failed to assemble a dresser.

They claim to know nothing of the whereabouts of my belongings. I have not been contacted about any of this and they do not respond.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6000

This was a two-day event. Packing on the first day and some packing, loading truck and unloading truck on second day. Had the same four gentlemen both days. Both days they arrived on time and got straight to work. They would ask questions when appropriate. They did a great job of carefully wrapping and packing. They asked which rooms, in the new place, boxes should be put and wrote on the outside of the box it’s destination. Boxes were then placed in the right rooms in the new place. Prices were fair and we had no surprises as far as costs for the two-day move. The company also got the parking permit at the new place. We didn’t know this was needed but the company did all the work getting the permit. Extremely satisfied with this company and would use it again.

I called SouthEast Van Lines and Storage last minute looking for movers to move a very large dining room set that I purchased at an estate sale. I had been turned down by 5 other moving companies because of the 1 day notice. SouthEast Van Lines said yes! They sent a crew of 5 or 6 guys who were the most efficient and professional movers I have ever delt with- and I've used movers quite a few times in the past 20 years. The way they disassembled and wrapped everything so quickly was fantastic. Then they reassembled and placed the dining set in the same manner once delivered- all the while not one scratch on the set. I thought the price was fair and I would use these movers again in the future. High recommend!

This is the third time my family has used SouthEast Van Lines . This last time was doubly stressful due to Covid 19, but the 4-man team who came were cautious and very professional, as always (and strong and super fast!). Not only that, but our home closing date was up and down. SouthEast Van Lines worked with us to stand by on our closing date and it was literally two days before when we confirmed our date with them. They were able to accommodate. Can't say enough good things about this moving organization. Would highly recommend for any moving needs. Will definitely use in the future. My moving experience was much better because of the moving team I had from SouthEast Van Lines . At first I was a bit skeptical because I had always used another company. However I heard some great recommendations and decided to try them. They were amazing. My furnishings were treated like prized possessions (even though they weren't). The team was very professional and communicated any questions or concerns. They were very quick and saved me quite a bit of money in comparison to the previous company I used. I am so pleased that I will only use SouthEast Van Lines in the future. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SUCH A GREAT TEAM OF MOVERS!

I have used SouthEast Van Lines for 4 out of the 5 times I've used movers and every time they were absolutely amazing. So fast and efficient, kind and helpful, etc. etc. I cannot say enough good things about their crews they send out. The last time I moved was the one time I was not able to use SouthEast Van Lines, because I had to schedule it very last minute and sadly they weren't available -- the other company I used was awful, made the situation stressful and completely defeated the purpose of why you get movers! The entire day I was wishing I had been able to use SouthEast Van Lines because I remembered what a smooth, easy experience they always made my moving days for me! Last week, I was moving again and was able to use SouthEast Van Lines and it was a breath of fresh air! Done in two hours and easy as pie. Just the way it should be. Thanks SouthEast Van Lines!
