Simple Moving Labor

The people I spoke to over the phone at SML were all wonderful - both helpful and friendly. I only needed help loading my moving truck because I was on the 3rd floor and did not want to have friends responsible for moving some of the heavier items like my washer and dryer. The two guys that came were nice. One basically ran everything he could take on his own downstairs to the truck and the other guy arranged the items in there. I have moved many times so I had things pretty organized. It took about an hour. The guy who was putting things in the truck had it arranged strangely so I redid all of it after they left. With the discount from Penske, I was happy with the service for the price I paid. I would recommend using SML - if you are picky like me though, you might want to supervise or get a friend to help so you can be in two places at once and have things done the way you like.

We paid for the professional service at $379 for a Sunday loading. They came an hour late and started work right away. For the most part they were very willing to handle all the work on their own and did not as for help. My family and I just stayed out of their way and trusted them. Each box was clearly marked with the item inside and whether it was fragile or heavy. Service took the desired time that I paid for and we were out and on the road in a timely matter. For the record I only used SML to load the truck.  After arriving in FL my Father and I unloaded the truck (22ft) packed. We found several boxes and bins completely crushed and broken. They also had packed so much stuff on top of my brand new grill that the grill bottom had buckled. I took several pictures of all the damage, that even included scratching up my kitchen table and chairs and bedroom furniture. We had furniture pads that were not utilized very well. I was disappointed in the the outcome. .

I was originally going to use a moving company to move my stuff until they told me they would take 8-12 days to get my stuff from FL to MD. I was then referred to SML by a friend who recently used them and had a good experience. They loaded the moving truck on Friday and we got to MD and unloaded the next day. Nothing was broken just a couple things were chipped which wasn't a big deal. I would use them again. Make sure to use the Pro Movers service since it is insured.

The guys who loaded our truck didn't really take my  wants into consideration.  I asked fro my beds to be loaded near the back or last if possible.  They put them near the front so that when we got to our destination, I unloaded over 2/3 of the truck myself to get to the beds.  I was irritated to say the least after a 12 hour drive.  They did a GREAT job of packing the truck as nothing moved at all on the drive.  They did damage a few things packing and stacking.     I give them an average rating.  I'm not sure I would use them again.  .

I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend SML as I have to my son who moved here to southern CA days after me. Although he did not use SML he had Marine Buddies to help when he arrived on Base etc. Back to me SML called about 3 or 4 times during my trip then the day before and the morning of twice! With this all I can say is thank you, had 2 professional polite men show up and complete the move in with time to spare they also cleaned the 26 foot Penski rental truck and folded the blankets. I tipped the gentleman, and it was done! Not knowing anyone here in this new city made my move ok almost enjoyable! I Wish you luck in your move and thanks again SML D.Plamondon.

We accomplished a local move from Jacksonville, AR to Hot Springs Village, AR in which we rented the truck and Simple Moving provided the pro movers.  The team worked well with us and did a great job in getting the truck packed as full as possible.  The unloading was delayed for several hours due to rainy weather, but after the weather broke, the same team showed up at our new location. They did a great job unloading the truck and putting the items in the rooms we requested.  I would use this team again if I had to move.
