I recently moved from Seattle, Washington to St Thomas in the USVI (not Puerto Rico, but the USVI wasn't an option in the review form!). Dave Wiviott was wonderful and not only answered all my questions, but was very patient with me and my nervousness. The subcontractors that packed my stuff in Seattle were great, friendly and professional, and did a terrific job. I had absolutely NO breakage. The crew on the St Thomas end also did a stellar job. They delivered and unpacked what was needed, put everything back together again and hauled away the mounds of packing papers. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave and Rainier Overseas Movers to anyone. Thanks guys!!

We recently moved from MA to Germany and used Rainier to coordinate that move. From start to finish, Rainier performed excellently, organizing local partners for packing and pickup, shipping, customs and delivery. Everything went smoothly, nothing was damaged and the goods arrived within a reasonable margin of the estimated time. I strongly recommend Rainier Overseas Movers, especially since Doug provides near-instantaneous feedback to all questions and is always highly professional.

We set up everything with Doug for a move to Chile and a couple of weeks before the packing/loading date, I was offered a job in Oxford, U.K. We decided that we should, instead, take this chance and move to England. Doug had to re-arrange everything because, , the 'ship going to the UK is not the same as the one going to Chile' :) and he did all these last minutes changes, always with extreme professionalism and in a good mood. The packing day came, and Don and his workers were fantastic. They packed the house in a couple of hours, they were professional and very pleasant to deal with. After this, more changes, we had to storage our goods, because we also had to pack an office a couple of months later, and then would have to ship all together. Again, excellent service, everything went to storage smoothly (charging us only a small fee) and, again, a couple of months later, Don and his workers were excellent when packing our office. Finally, everything left the US and we were so surprised to see that less than one month later our goods arrived to the UK! On this end, they took excellent care of the paperwork with customs and the delivery was great, in perfect condition, the guys unpacked everything, placed the furniture and cleaned it all. Another very good surprise was too see that the house and office boxes had been marked by your man with different colors, so we knew exactly what was for the house and what was for the office. This was so good. All in all, we were very fortunate to find Doug and his company and I can't recommend him enough, you will not find a better moving company anywhere.

We just finished shipping our belongings (approx 250 cubic feet of assorted boxes) from US to Sweden. Rainier Overseas Movers coordinated all parts of the transport from door-to-door. They kept us informed about all steps of the process and were responsive whenever we had questions. The movers were friendly and operated in an efficient manner on both continents. Furthermore, all of our belongings were in good shape upon arrival in Sweden. We will recommend Rainier to all friends thinking about transatlantic moves.

The move itself went really good. Apart from the slight delay at the border, which I know was out of your hands, I am really happy that I decided to bring all of my things via freight instead of re-purchasing them here. Solar Relocation was very professional on moving day and assembled everything properly. Nothing major was broken (maybe like 2 fragile decorations, which is no big deal and would happen with any move). All in all, very satisfied with my experience and I would recommend Rainier Overseas Movers to anyone I know looking to move abroad.

I used Rainier to move from Fort Collins, CO to Kristiansand, Norway. Rainier was great to work with and they used a local moving company that came to my home to make sure the household items would all fit in the container. The local moved provided excellent service and packed the container very well. When the container was delivered in Norway, a local Norwegian company unloaded the container. None of the items were damaged and there were no delays or problems along the way. Rainier explained the moving process well and delivered great service in every way.

Hi folks, a quick (maybe) review on my overseas movement of our household goods from Minot, ND to Leyte, Philippine. I spent allot of hours on the Internet looking a reviews and just general "what to do" type articles. I started the process in the Philippines while we were building our house. Those three companies I asked for quotes never got back to me. So when I got back to ND, those three didn't get a second chance. This time I chose Rainier Overseas Movers Inc, United Van Lines, and Mayflower. Rainier (David Wiviott) got back to me in less than 24 hours, United in 48 hours, and Mayflower never emailed me back but wanted to talk on the phone (which I almost never carry on me unless I'm outside the house). Rainier had their contact in Minot come out and did a site survey and sent the results back to Rainier and I got my quote back before United's representatives showed up for their survey. It took another week for United to come back with their quote which included a lot of add-on charges to be determined later. Rainier's quote was all inclusive with the normal exception of customs inspections at overseas port and any customs duties and taxes that had to be paid. I chose Rainier. The day before the actual loading day, the local movers arrived and pre-arraigned several boxes (I had already packed about 90% of my stuff.) On loading day, these guys were great. Loaded a 20ft ocean container in 4 hours. Of most important to us was a very large grandfather clock. They packed and loaded it so well that it survived the journey unscathed. In the Philippines, Rainier's agent had already gotten a hold of us, determined our entry status (duty/tax exempt), told us what they would need to get the clearance and kept us informed of the date of arrival. Basically, once I chose Rainier, all I had to worry about was personal travel. Their exceptional contact agents worked their magic and my stuff was delivered undamaged. I was particularly worried about customs in the Philippines, but Rainier's agent (Goetz Moving) handled the entire customs maze. If you’re moving overseas I would not give Rainier a second thought, I would use them again in a heartbeat. And oh BTW: as a retired military, I've moved overseas 5 times. This was the smoothest and worry free.
