Move from Texas to West Virginia.

TOTAL DISASTER!!
I used Public moving services to move all my household items. A crew of 3 came in enterprise rental truck on 06/25/17 to pickup my items from Texas. They used a 3rd party to transit all my household stuff. All my items were moved on a passenger van with only one person (driver). He came at 9.30 pm on 07/12/2017 to deliver. My king and queen mattress were shrink wrapped and they both were torn and has tire marks on all sides.
During delivery, the driver did not want to assemble my bed (both king and queen) and did not take my mattresses (king and queen) to the bedroom as well. He left everything in the living area. He told its already 12.10 am and am tired and I will not assemble the beds or take the mattress to the bedrooms. He also did not bring my couch inside my apartment and he told he cannot take it all by himself. When offered help, he told I am already tired and cannot maneuver it and left my couch in the corridor of my apartment building.
When I called the claims department of Public moving services, it was answered by a customer care and they don't want to solve the issue. She (customer care) was very rude in responding and told me that claims will contact you and you have no means to contact them.
My move is not complete and they (public moving services) don't want to answer my calls or solve my problem. I have been trying to call them for 2 days now and looks like this issue is never going to get addressed/resolved.

Great moving experience.

I haven't got experience with this company but my father has. He moved more than 10 times in last 7 years. A couple of times he moved by himself, but at this time he decided to use a moving company ( he wants to move his staff to Florida for summer) He didn't have a lot of furniture , but you know they are very antiques, so he asked guys to be very careful with them. And you know what?) my dad sad that he never see such a great packing service before. They spend around 3 hours for pack everything and less then 1 hour to put all his staff in truck. On delivery he also didn't have any problems, all his staff was save.

This guys are gang members.

You don't want deal with this people. Just DON'T. LISTEN! JUST DON'T. PROTECT YOUR SELF! This guys initially quoted 10,000 and told me it will be $16,000 after they loaded the package and then charged 1,000 more when the package unloaded. Terrible work quality and bunch of Russian gangs came. Unfriendly workers. Just DON'T. I do have clear evidences how they cheat me and pictures/records, emails.

Ripped Off.

I would love nothing more than to exact revenge on these VULTURE’s !! I have submitted paperwork to Brian Christ regarding this ripoff company!!
I was quoted $8900 and was raped / charged over $12,000!!
When the POS moving truck/Semi pulled into my driveway..two Russian POS drivers out of Miami got out and proceeded to “try” & bully me into being further ripped off by stating I had to give them money orders (on a Sunday at 5 pm ~ BS) they told me prior to that - a cashiers check from the bank was ok. I ended up calling 911 for a Sheriffs response this is THE ONLY way I could force them to give me my belongings!! F’ing [EDIT]..yes it still pisses me OFF!! I just want a refund back due to over-inflated fees ~ it needs to be pro-rated based on fair freight values!! The small amount of stuff I had should’ve cost $5-$6k NOT $12k. ;-((

Received a call from Alex stating he won’t arrive Friday as scheduled coming Saturday morning instead. So Alex and co-worker finally show up late Saturday afternoon (3:30pm) in an old semi - Gordon Trucking out of Miami, FL. Then he tells me he put out an add for help but no one showed up. Then he said to take items down stairs to basement it would be $150.00 more - I said no way so he threatens to leave. I said I don’t think so and told him to put everything in my garage. At this point I was pissed , so I called my sister.

Then after I already verified with him over the phone prior to arrival that a cashiers check was acceptable for final payment.

Then I give him the checks and he proceeds to tell me that he can only accept cash or money orders.

He keeps telling me he Can’t accept Cashiers ck no good so this is when I Called 911 Kalkaska sheriff department. (Copy of Report provided).

Then the 2 Russians along with help from my sister and neighbors we all unloaded the truck.

Then on Sunday 9/10/17 at around 3:30 pm some mentally challenged guy showed up looking for work ?
This was from the add these idiots put out. Could’ve have been dangerous to me.

Moved with Public Moving Services from CO to FL. That was taken care of on all ends, fast delivery was a major plus for my particular situation. No troubles, no damages to my furniture after the move was complete. Nice hard-working crew, super helpful customer care rep!! Definitely recommend these long distance movers.

Guys showed up at 9.00am as we agreed! We have a lot of antiques,and we where worried about how it will be packed!
It was really impressive how they professionally packed and crate all our stuff! Delivery took 6 days and we are satisfied 100%
And truly recommend to others!

In Tears Over Our Our Move.

My wife and I literally cried because of our experience with Public Moving Services.

We were under the impression that they were BBB accredited, but they are not (https://www.bbb.org/charlotte/business-reviews/movers/public-moving-services-in-charlotte-nc-574382/reviews-and-complaints)

They grossly mis-estimated our home after we inventoried everything, room by room--three times. The initial quote was for $3,700 for about 1000 cubic feet of our belongings. The day before the move, we re-inventories everything and the cubic feet was increased to about 1,300 cubic feet and $5,700. Because of the stories we had heard of moving companies, we planned for double that. The final shipment was 2,300 cubic feet (2.3 times the initial estimate), but somehow our bill ended up more than $12,000!! (3.2 times as much as the inital estimate). They had given us an guaranteed binding estimate but never gave us an updated estimate on the day of the move (as we later discovered is required by the North Carolina Public Utilities Commission http://www.ncuc.commerce.state.nc.us/consumer/transportation/ConsumerGuide.htm).

When we disputed the charges, they literally drove away with our entire household and held our items hostage until we paid the bill.

We had decided to use a moving company to "treat" ourselves with this exciting transition. We'll never do that again. We spent the bulk of what was supposed to be our family's summer road trip with our kids on the phone trying to negotiate with these moving "hijackers".

HORRIBLE! Had to pay double the quote to get stuff. Stuff damaged. Waited 3 weeks with no furniture. Don't answer phone or return calls. They tell you what u want to hear in the beginning.

Just moved with these guys yesterday and could not be more pleased. They were very responsive planning the move. On moving day the guys were fast, polite, hardworking and careful with our stuff. Price was totally reasonable. Would give more than 5 stars, if possible.

Stay away!!

I don't know where to start.
we moved from NY to AZ, and when you want to get a quote there is a "very very" nice sales representative who is always available, he even takes "his work home" and calls me million times a day.
but the moment you pay that's it! he is not available anymore..
so when the gays came to pic up our stuff and tried to take more money he could not help me anymore.
I had to call their costumer service and wait 40 min before someone even answered. then I told her that I am not paying more for all kind of [EDIT] like distance to the elevator and more wrapping material before they even started!! (the elevator is in a 10 steps away!)
so only after me and my husband threaten her with complains and were determined not to pay more they left us and start doing their job.
we are about to move in 4 days and still no one called me. I tried to call them 2 weeks ago, after 50 min of waiting the lady says that we are fine and the delivery will be on the 10th and worst case we will get it a day of two after. today I called again because obviously no one called me (another 45 min) and now she says that they will only START the shipping on the 10th and it can be 7-10 days!!
when I told her the story and how upset I am she kept saying "its in your contract". when I asked to speak with her supervisor she sad that he is not there..
so now I don't have any furnitures for at least 2 weeks.
i tried to fined there BBB page but suddenly it disappeared and there is a different name on there address name "your moving company LLC"
i really tried to stay away from this bad experience, do your self a favor, be careful.

The worst EVER.

Run do not use lied lied lied had to call the sheriff 's department to keep delivery guys from leaving/ stealing my things. Charged $3k more than original estimate. THE WORST EVER.
