We had a very nice and fast move that day. Four nice and polite professional employees helped us to move to our new house without issues or surprise cost. We paid the agreed price and they did the job faster than the estimated time. Hard workers, did not stop or took a break or waste time for a bit!
The Sales man, Pete, told us that at the end we were going to be satisfy of the service that we would tip his employees. 
We did tip them with very pleasure.

I used Prudential Van Lines last month for my move from NJ to my new house in TX.  Joe the Sales rep was very nice and explained all the details about my move. On my move day Francisco the Forman and his helpers arrived on time with great attitude, they were polite and careful. On delivery day, the movers were fast as well, all my furniture was in very good condition. They helped me to unwrap most of my items and set up my furniture in my new house. Thank you Prudential Van Lines!

We just Finished un packing our last box, and immediately came to rant and rave about Prudential Van Lines. Thanks guys for an Awesome Experience from the very beginning to the end. Our move was NOT the average move my 6 month pregnant wife and 2 kids. We have to Thank Joe for his expertise and patience. Full packing services were done within a day and 7 days later the Prudential Trailer arrived. Thanks to all the great workers at Prudential definitely will use again and again.

This is the worst mover I've ever used.  They damaged everything and they never disclosed that they were OUSTSOURCING the job to a different company in Florida, then they refused all accountability and said it was the other company's fault.   I contacted the BBB and when they contacted Prudential they denied that I ever hired them!!  I provided all of my email back and forth with Prudential and the names of everyone I spoke with, yet they still denied that I ever hired them.  They never provided the right paperwork and were able to get away with it.   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  DISHONEST, DISHONEST, DISHONEST! THEY REQUIRED A DEPOSIT WHICH IS ILLEGAL!!

After a horrible experience with a moving company several years ago, I was delighted to find Prudential Van Lines and Senior Moving Consultant, Peter Susi. From our very first e-mail contact, Peter let me know everything I could possibly need to know about how my move would proceed. He was a wealth of information - especially in terms of explaining how much money I could save if I packed my own "breakables". such as glass table tops and dresser mirrors. After I signed my contract with Prudential. there were times when I called Peter twice a day; asking for clarification on cubic feet, needing reassurance that my pick-up would be on time and going over (again) the price quote. He always was available to answer my questions. When moving day came - there were NO surprises.  Everything Peter told me would happen, including the price, was just as he said it would be. The crew, headed by Oscar, was polite, efficient, hard-working and professional! I was so pleased with the care they took with my belongings - some of them family heirlooms. The part of my furniture that was moved to Colorado arrived on time and in excellent condition.  Again, the crew was excellent. I still have household items that are in storage with Prudential for a delivery to Phoenix this fall.  I have no doubt that everything will arrive on time and in great condition! Thank you Peter and Prudential for making a very stressful process manageable.

Quoted me at a 6 hours job and the guys got the job done in around 4 hours.  True professionals.  I highly recommend.  Nothing was damaged and they arranged everything exactly as I wanted. They want me to write 350 characters, but I have really nothing else to say.

From the first phone call to when the last box was dropped this company has been nothing but excellent. Corteous, reliable,fair price, accuracy on estimate, movers arrived on time and handled everything with care.
My estimator Frank was great and answered all my questions. David called to confirm the time when the movers were going to get home and was also very polite and respectful. The guys that did the move were also polite and did it with a smile. I don't want to move again, but if I do, I am definitely calling again.

To start, salesman, Casey convinced me that by allowing him to come to my house for an in home consultation,  he "will get the most precise quote by having him write down an inventory of my belongings”. I was quoted $3299 and I ended up paying $4217. I called Casey right away and he seemed surprised with the over charges but he said he would look into the issue and re-evaluate my inventory once they received it. By then the truck was already loaded therefore I had no choice but to sign the Bill of Lading. (with Casey saying he would re-evaluate but did not).In addition, I told Casey I need my belongings delivered by 7/25, as I will be driving to Texas and will start work on July 28. He said he will make a request for priority. He even suggested rushing my move out date to July15 to give the company at least 10 days to ship my belongings. I packed my 1 bedroom Brooklyn apartment in 2 days. I arrived in Dallas on July 25th and furniture did not arrive. Gary (customer service) & Ben (operations mgr) said I should expect delivery on 7/26-7/27. I was furniture less for 6 days b/c my items did not arrive till 7/30. I spent extra money on air mattress and everyday expenses like food b/c I did not have furniture/pots pans etc.  After unpacking, I realized that a few things are missing from my delivery. I am missing a set of knives, a set of mason jar glasses (6) , a toaster and a rice cooker. These were not listed in the inventory so it must have been packed in a box which was probably left behind. I did not get a chance to double check the inventory because the driver came to deliver close to 11pm and did not finish unloading till after 3 am. The movers were even asking me if certain boxes or items "looked familiar". He almost forgot to unload my huge dresser until I realized that it was missing! Prudential Van Lines made this the worst moving experience for me. I expected retribution for overcharges, late delivery and poor service.

My wife and I were very impressed with the moving services we received from Prudential Van Lines. From getting a quote, booking the service and the actual moving day. I was so impressed that I phoned Peter (Senior Moving Consultant) immediately after the movers finished to tell him how happy I was with everything. The three movers, Raul, Luis and Manuel were all very professional, hard working and efficient. They arrived early for pick up and were so efficient that they finished unloading early as well. They handled all our belongings with care and loaded/unloaded everything with no issues. We could not be happier for choosing Prudential Van Lines for our move. We will not hesitate to recommend their services to others. If you are looking for professional, no hassle and affordable moving services, Prudential Van Lines is the way to go-you will not be disappointed. They will work with your needs as best they can. One more tip: make sure to have cold bottle water to offer the movers..the work they do is not easy and very tiring! They appreciate being offered a refreshing cold drink!

I moved 3 months ago and had nothing but problems.
I am still waiting to get reimbursed for the large glass table top that they broke. Before they unloaded my furniture and boxes the low life driver demanded another $300 in cash to the agreed upon price. The stand on the tv was broken by them but they did not care. I have moved many times in the past but this company is the worst by far. Boxes arrived crushed and they did not care. To end it all, the driver cursed me when he left. Do not use Prudential even for free. They are the worst!

Here's our story. We received a binding quote from First National Van Lines, the broker for Prudential Van Lines, for moving our very small 700 square foot one-bedroom apartment in Philly to a small apt in Brooklyn. Their guaranteed quote was for $2,000.00 including fuel charges. Final bill came to $5,268!!

Prudential used an arbitrary method of assessing the extent to the goods to be moved and only informed us that the invoice would be increasing from the $2,000 binding contractual amount to $5,268.00 AFTER THE GOODS WERE ALREADY LOADED ONTO THEIR TRUCK. In other words, our possessions were held hostage after they loaded the truck and informed us that based on their arbitrary cubic foot measurement, the price would be more than doubling! However, they are required to inform us of an overage PRIOR to moving our possessions onto their truck. They failed to do so.

"A binding estimate guarantees that you cannot be required to pay more than the amount on the estimate. However, if you add additional items to your shipment or request additional services, you and your mover may: agree to abide by the original binding estimate, negotiate a new binding estimate or convert the binding estimate into a non-binding estimate. If the mover does not give you a new binding estimate in writing, or agree in writing to convert the binding estimate to a non-binding estimate before your goods are loaded, the original binding estimate is reaffirmed. Under these circumstances, your mover should not charge or collect more than the amount of the original binding estimate at delivery for the quantities and services included in the estimate."

Per the above government policy, the total charge should have been the originally quoted $2,000.

According to our contract with First National, our complaints needed to go through them rather than Prudential. After complaints to First National over the phone and in writing, they informed us that their firm quote was no longer valid since we added more boxes and furniture. But how on earth could the charge for moving a 700 sq foot apartment increase from $2,000 to $5,300?? Obviously, this appears to be some kind of scam. To prove this, we requested a new firm estimate based upon the precise items that were actually moved from Philly to Brooklyn. Guess what? The new estimate came to $2887.11 rather than the $5,268.00 we were charged. In good faith, we offered to pay $2,887.11 but First National's attorney refused to respond to our request.

It gets even better. Per the terms of their contract, in order to dispute the charge, we were required to first pursue this matter through the American Arbitration Association (AAA). We spent $200 to file a case through this organization. Guess what? First National is not even registered with this organization! The AAA requested that First National pay the required fees and register with them in order to proceed with our arbitration case. Guess what? First National never responded to their repeated requests.

So we now find ourselves having to deal with the mover, Prudential Van Lines, who holds our money, and would not respond to complaints UNTIL we brought in our bank who put a hold on their money. We are planning to take them to small claims court in order to recover over $3,000 in overcharges. We will likely take First National to small claims court as well.

Desired Outcome: At a bare minimum, we would like an apology from Prudential, have them acknowledge that they or their broker made an egregious error, and refund us $3,268.00 in excess charges.

From start to finish, the staff at Prudential Van Lines exceeded my expectations. Great communication from the admin team leading up to the move, and the two movers who helped me move were exceptional. Moving my furniture into a unit in the city could have easily been a very stressful and anxiety-filled venture, especially in the middle of a lockdown, but they made things seamless (with finesse I might add). Not only did they communicate with me very well, they also made me feel safe by practicing good hygiene, social distancing, and wearing masks, which is the utmost importance during this pandemic. I will definitely be going with Prudential Van Lines again for my next move, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, kind, and considerate moving company. 10/10!

From packing the house to the day of the move, Prudential Van Lines team were extremely professional, reliable, and meticulous! The team was on time and efficient. They cared for our personal items as if they were their own. Nothing was damaged! The quote was accurate and because everything went so smoothly there was some savings Prudential Van Lines applied to the final cost. We hired Prudential Van Lines to move our belongings a long distance. The movers arrived promptly, worked quickly and professionally, and were very respectful to our belongings. They had no issue taking apart our king sized bed and moving it down a very tight entryway. To be honest when only three guys showed up for our move I was a bit skeptical on how long it would take etc. To say these three handled the job in a timely and professional fashion is an understatement. They were nothing short of outstanding and very nice guys as well. We will definitely use them again if we ever need another move. I'd readily recommend them to anyone.

A friend highly recommended Prudential Van Lines, so I chose them for my recent move. I have previously used large moving companies and every time something was damaged and the furniture arrived with a serious delay. My experience with this company was drastically different. Not a single thing got damaged or lost and they picked up my stuff on time and delivered it at the promised time. Oh, and the furniture made the Irvine trip in less than quoted time. I was impressed!
