Long-distance move from New York, NY to Boston, MA

DO NOT USE - Priority Van Lines is a SCAM!!!!

Please do not use this company to move. I had gone in with good intentions and looked up reviews knowing moving is chaotic. They kept changing the rules on when I could add or remove boxes before my move. They wouldn't confirm the dates or times and refused to email me any communication, they only wanted to talk on the phone. I called customer service number on their website and was directed to someone who didn't know what business I was calling about. They also refused to give me my deposit back.

You Get What You Pay For.

I was initially hesitant because I have had some bad moves in the past and I needed someone to be there ASAP because of my family living in Texas and not being able to travel because of Covid. I scheduled an appointment with one of the moving specialist Dimitri and,.. to say the least he was the best thing that happened to me.!! I am very difficult in what I needed because of my time constraints. I was was so happy to hear such a fair deal and, the trust and relationship that was established was top notch. A true professional. Everything was just as described and on time ! Thank you for being there! I look forward to sending you and the family at

Priority Vanlines a great Christmas card. Thank you Dimitri again!

Long-distance move from Fairfax, VA to Fenwick Island, DE

Never showed, never answered calls on day of move.

STAY AWAY. The company I work for we’re just trying to move a few items from a storage unit to Delaware. It’s already shady enough that they require the deposit to be made ACH and the final payment to be cash, money order or cashiers check. However, in the beginning - they were very responsive and appeared to be accommodating. I’ve now been calling nonstop over 24 hours without a response. This is their main customer service line, mind you. They don’t seem to have any intention of resolving this situation and now we are going to have to get authorities and our bank involved. I’m on site now.. still waiting.

Official company response

Hi Allison-
We apologize you were not satisfied with your experience. Your account had many notes regarding correspondence that our customer care representatives had with you numerous times, including the day of delivery. We are not a 24-hour business, nor is our customer care line, so some of your phone calls that were made outside of business hours would not be answered.
Our goal is to always achieve a high level of customer service and thank you for your business.

Long-distance move from Akron, OH to Tampa, FL

5 star service!!

These guys are the best in the business hands down. I was moving from Akron to Tampa and had bunch of meaningful as well as valuable things to relocate. I also needed to have my exotic car shipped and was really concerned with finding a trustworthy company. Soooo glad I came across these guys because they delivered above and beyond. Owner worked directly with me and there customer service was 5 star. Received my car and belongings a day early and in perfect condition. Communication is excellent. Highly recommend. If you are like me and did your research on shipping it can become discouraging with all the bad info. Rest assured with Priority Vanline Services you are in great hands. I move quite often and I have had issues with other big name companies in the past. I will be using theses guys for whatever moving needs I have in the future for sure!

Priority Van Lines - Horrible Experience move from IL to IN

WARNING! DO NOT USE THEM - they are a scam! Priority Van Lines was moving my furniture/boxes from IL to IN when the movers arrived they informed me that they would not be taking my items to IN and refused my move and left. Priority will not refund me my deposit of $689 even though they canceled the move and left! Save yourself the agony of using them! My Sales Rep was [NAME EDIT] - I do not recommend using them!

Official company response

Hi Anne-
We apologize you were not satisfied with your experience. As a company, we are always looking for ways to improve our services. In response to your review we wanted to address the following: The carrier was more than happy to move your items to the storage facility, but because it was not going to be stored in your final destination state of Indiana, you did not wish to move forward. We were providing you 30 days of storage and redelivery for one penny, which included us redelivering your items, when you were ready, to your final destination address of Indiana. As far as your refund, according to the bank statements you provided, the money was deposited back into your account in October. Again, we apologize for any misunderstanding and wish you the best in your new location.

PLEASE DO NOT USE IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD

PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM

They are a broker; once you pay them the fee they will not help you 1%

They quoted me a price of $2200, the movers they hired told me it would be $4500, same exact items, nothing added. Once you pay them their brokerage fee you are screwed. The actual moving companies they hire are horrible too. I have attached a PDF with my full story as its too long. Save yourself the time and trust me, but read if you'd like. DO NOT EVER use this company,

Long-distance move from Lubbock, TX to Auburn, MI

Took my money but wouldn't transport my goods.

I had another moving company cancel at the last minute, less than one week before my move, so I scrambled to find another company.

I called Priority Vanline Services and they told me they would already have a truck in my area on the day of my move. They gave me a good quote, so I immediately signed with them.

After I finished signing and paying the deposit, I looked closer at the contract and saw two things: (1) they misspelled the destination address and (2) they had not included packing services, which I require.

I immediately customer service on the phone and told them I needed to add packing services and correct the destination address. I was happy to pay extra for packing services, but I wanted to know how much. I did not want to be surprised at the last minute with charges I could not afford. Customer service told me that they could add packing services, but that I would have to call back in several days to find out the additional charges.

I replied that I was uncomfortable waiting several days to find out how much extra I would owe, and I asked to please be given an updated quote or else cancel my contract. They had provided me the original cost estimate earlier that very day, so I didn't understand why they couldn't just update the estimate by adding packing services.

I reminded them that my move was in only a few days, and if I couldn't be guaranteed a rate I could afford, I needed to be released to find another company. I did not have time to wait several days to find out whether the additional charges were affordable. I asked customer service to please update my charges or else cancel the contract.

I was immediately connected to a manager. The manager told me that he would add the packing services for free. I happily accepted, but I said I wanted to receive paperwork reflecting this change. It was Saturday, and the manager told me that I would receive this paperwork on Monday. I accepted this, because at least I had been verbally promised what I needed.

Today, on Monday, I called customer service to ask when I would receive this new estimate in writing. Customer service told me that they could not provide the new estimate; only the manager could. I called the manager to ask for the new estimate in writing. Around 4:26 PM on Monday, I finally received the new estimate.

But on the new estimate, my destination address was still incorrect - even though I had pointed out the mistake on Saturday. Furthermore, the "Articles List" of goods to be transported did not match the "Packing Material List". For example, my Articles List indicated 5 (five) wardrobe boxes, but the Packing Materials List listed only 4 (four) wardrobe boxes. I was afraid that the moving company would show up without enough packing materials to transport my goods. I cannot afford to abandon goods in my old home just because the moving company did not bring enough packing materials.

I called customer service and the manager back and asked to please be sent a new estimate with the correct destination address and with a Packing Materials List matching the Articles List.

After several conversations with several customer service representatives, I was still unable to obtain an estimate with a corrected destination address and with corrected lists of articles and packing materials.

By this point, it was already nearly close of business on Monday, and the very modest corrections had still had not been made. I did not understand why it was so difficult just to correct my address and to update the Packing Materials List to match the Articles List.

Finally, I told customer service that I no longer had any confidence that they could ever deliver my goods. I felt like I was being bounced from one representative to another with no resolution. If it was so difficult to make such modest changes to a piece of paper, then I had no confidence that my goods would ever physically arrive at my destination. I asked to please cancel the contract so that I begin finding a new moving company on Tuesday morning.

Customer service immediately escalated me to another manager, who asked me to please hold while she investigated. After a very long hold, I was disconnected from the call.

By this point, it was after close of business. My contract had not been corrected, nor had my deposit been refunded. Priority Vanlines appears to wish to keep my money without correcting my contract. Even if we assume that they would have attempted to deliver my goods, without a correct delivery address on my contract, it is not clear whether they would even be able to do so.

At this point, I am working with my bank to cancel the charges, and I am hiring another moving company. It should not be this difficult to simply add packing services and to correct a mistaken destination address. I would have been happy to pay extra for packing services as long as the contract was free of errors. But Priority Vanlines would not correct the errors in the contract.
