Long-distance move from La Crosse, FL to Bakersfield, CA

DO NOT USE THEM!

This Company is the biggest Racket I have ever experienced. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!! When the movers showed up they doubled the estimate! DOUBLED!!! They will quote you a low estimate so that you schedule with them. Then when you are in a time crunch and no other options, they show up on moving day and stick it to you! They are a big company so everyone just needs to choose someone else to they can change or go out of business

Long-distance move from Gallatin, TN to Fremont, CA

Unprofessional Service

My stuff was picked up on 09/30 from Gallatin, TN and was supposed to come to Fremont CA the week of 10/03 as per the driver. After talking to Priceline they just say carrier company will contact you and when I called the carrier company 4 times I found out that on 10/06 my stuff is still in Georgia warehouse. When asked when will get the ETA, the only answer I got was the schedule is not yet decided it might be current week or even next week. I understand. I understand that the move is a crosscountry move but at least provide some information other than we will notify you and waiting for days without any answers. This is a very unprofessional and unreliable service. When you are proving a service and the customer is paying for it then at least provide them with answers rather than keeping them hanging. We don't know when our stuff is going to arrive so till then we have to keep on buying new stuff. I would suggest that pay little extra and schedule a move with more reliable movers who provide accurate ETA and information.

Long-distance move from Cave Creek, AZ to Milford, PA

BUYER BEWARE

CONSUMERS BEWARE: My rating for this company is below a one Star. Priceline Van lines conducts unethical, deceptive and fraudulent business practices. Prior to the moving date, I was advised by Priceline that 3 movers would be arriving in a truck titled "Movers and Packers" out of NJ. However, on the day of the move, two men arrived in a Penske box truck; one of the men never exited the truck.

When the driver (who identified himself as Vee) exited the truck, it was immediately apparent that he did not understand or speak English. Within a few minutes of attempting to converse with Vee, it was obvious that he was an unqualified and untrained mover. At one point, I believe that Vee was attempting to request additional money for which I replied that I had under the cubic square footage reflected in my contract. When I addressed with Vee why there was no moving materials in the truck to pack and move my belongings, Vee got back in the truck and drove off. My concern is that Vee was attempting to extort money from me and had

no intention on ever packing and moving my belongings.

Although Priceline breached their contract since services were never rendered, the company refused to reimburse me. I have recently filed a complaint through my bank/credit card company. Additionally, I filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General's Office and with the U.S. Department of Transportation- Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. I would encourage anyone who has been the victim of Priceline's deceptive business practices to also file a complaint.

Who wants to start a class action law suit against this company?

This company has been calling my phone number at all hours of the day, every day, for the 3 weeks;4-5 timesdaily. I've had to count 23 blocked phone numbers I've placed against them, and yet every 90 minutes another call. I never heard from this business 2 months ago when I WAS actually moving, but after a month in at my new place these calls have not stopped. I've never seen anything like it in all my life. I tell these people to take me off their list. They actually say NO! I had 1 idiot tell me when I said stop calling me, you are beyond a nuisance, his reply was "Not my problem". I will be reporting them to BBB. So if anyone can start the ball rolling to file a lawsuit for privacy infringment and selling off our information without consent, please comment. I will pull all my phone records to show the over 50 phone calls I've received in 18 days.

Do Not Trust - Liars and Thieves

Let’s start with the lies, shall we?

1. “We have great reviews!”

Well, this one is on me, and trust I have been kicking myself for the red flags I did not pick up on at the time. This is an obvious lie which, if you were smart and looked before handing over your money, you can easily see.

2. “Yes, we can pick up on day X. And drop off on day Y”

Apparently there is no way to guarantee pick-up or delivery dates (which makes no sense to me, since they had a very strict schedule that they were “squeezing” me into, and I while going out of state I wasn’t going that far). But, was I told that in my initial phone call? Nope. I was told they could pick-up on a Saturday and everything would be dropped off by that Tuesday at the latest; giving me a nice 2 week window to unpack and move in. Not the case, and even though they were only off by a couple of days (for both pick-up and drop off), it left me with a hectic week instead of a relaxed 2 weeks.

3. “There will be no surprise charges at either the pick-up or delivery”

Ha! So, the person I spoke with (*cough* Andrew *cough*) said that mileage, gas, and protecting my furniture was all included in the quoted price. I paid for both gas and mileage. And, protecting my furniture - apparently that only covers the mover blankets they used on 2 pieces. The beat up cardboard and plastic wrap they put on everything else, to protect it of course, apparently not covered and cost an extra $300.

4. “You can use any payment method when you pay the balance”

I was explicitly told, because I explicitly asked, that I could pay the driver with my debit card. Absolutely not the case. Check or money order at pick-up and cash only upon delivery.

Lies by omission:

1. Did you know that the contract you sign with the Priceline Van Lines company, is not the contract that covers the driver? No? Me either. Once the driver finally arrives he hands me another huge contract that I am reading and signing as they are packing up my stuff. And, it’s different from the one I originally signed. All I get for an explanation: “don’t go through a broker next time”.

a. “No charge for the 2nd floor as long as there is a dedicated elevator” - apparently that only applies at the pick-up. But my driver oh so kindly (insert all sarcasm) decided not to charge me for walking up to the 2nd floor when they delivered.

b. “No charge for anything less than 100ft between the truck and the door at drop off” - drops to 75ft with the driver’s contract, and he charged me anyway! Said it was a “long-haul”; it was 43ft, I measured.

“But, M, none of that makes them thieves” (By certain definitions)

1. My couch was whole and sturdy when they packed it up. When it arrived it was missing a leg, completely un-sittable, and basically a piece of junk. The driver told me the company would be in touch; it’s been 2 months and I haven’t heard a word. So, yeah, they basically stole my couch because I now need to buy a new one.

2. The very last thing they packed was a full length mirror. That mirror did not get off the truck. I texted the driver and asked him to look, he said he would. I texted again a week later, and I’m still waiting to hear from him.

Do yourself a favor, be smarter than me. Read the reviews and do not trust this company. The whole point of hiring movers is to make life easier during an already stressful time. All they did was add more stress. Instead of 2 weeks of leisurely unpacking - I had 1 week of rushing. Instead of a carefully balanced budget to get me through the month before I got paid at the new job, I spent almost double what I was quoted and got completely screwed financially; I don’t know how long it’s going to take me to scrape my way back to even after this. It’s been 2 months and I still sometimes have trouble falling asleep because the anger gets triggered out of nowhere and won’t let me rest. Do not hire this company, they are liars and thieves, and they don’t care.

I cancelled my contract, of 12/09/2022, with Priceline Vanlines, and was informed that it would take up to 45 days to ‘process’. on the 45th day, and ever since, i have gotten a busy signal; i can only assume that my phone No is now blocked. even emails to Megan, seemingly their only contact, get bounced back. i have few hopes of ever seeing this refund

No customer service response

I've been trying to get a hold of this moving company for over a week now via email and phone calls. No response to emails and the phone number is always busy. Their website is also not found. I'm beginning to think this company is a cover for scam and will be contesting the charges with my credit card company if I don't hear back from within the next few days.

Avoid at all costs!!

They will take more than they state in the contract for the deposit, and then charge a 20% cancellation fee to cancel! They require 45 days to process a refund minus the 20%. They charged me $3887.00 for my move and took $1963.00 from my account for the deposit. Even though the contract states that the deposit is only 10% of the total. I cancelled well before the cancellation date, and now have to wait 45 days for a partial refund. I doubt I will see that. The link to the wesbite is broken and the phone number is a marketing line that takes you to a different moving company, so you can only contact them by email which they answer once a day. Also, the sales rep will give you a number to call or text, but you either get a busy signal or no response to texts. I have had to involve my bank, but Im still not likely to get a refund.
