Long-distance move from Fort Worth, TX to Northport, AL

Worst move experience I’ve ever had

I DON’T RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Please heed my advice and don’t overlook some of the negative reviews like I did because of their decent overall rating. This is my 3rd long distance move, and BY FAR the worst I’ve had. Apparently, no one in this company communicates with anyone else. No one told them how much space I needed and they didn’t have room on the truck. They came back and still didn’t have room or a correct estimate even after having eyes on everything. We were told several different things by different people within the company. They tried to charge us an additional $500 to Saran Wrap a few pieces. I went to lowes and spent $60 and did it myself. They showed up without even calling first and then we made it very clear that our delivery couldn’t be made until Sep 10 because we wouldn’t be there yet. But they called us on the 8th saying they were ready to deliver. Seriously NO communication.

Priceline blames everything on their contracted drivers and won’t take any responsibility. Everyone you talk to doesn’t have the power to do anything but their supervisors are always magically busy and will never return a call. Please don’t make an already stressful time worse with these scammers. And this was after paying their company almost $10,000. Seriously, so many regrets.

Long-distance move from Seattle, WA to Miami Beach, FL

Scam all day long

If only I had known this before I use them. A quote was given, and all the paperwork emailed says a quote was for those items, the movers showed up at the house and wanted to charge another $5000 to move the same stuff that an estimate was given to me by the Priceline sales person. Luckily, my father is a lawyer in Miami and has already been contacted seeing how we had to move today , they showed up in a 24 foot moving truck and for the initial estimate only half of the things that were listed were taken. I was advised by my lawyer to let them I really had no other choice as soon as items are delivered to my new house. They will be served with a lawsuit for the additional $7000 for a 26 foot U-Haul that I had to rent to move the rest of my stuff. This is a bait and switch company their only address is for a mail store. They do not have a brick and mortar building this For the additional $7000 for a 26 foot U-Haul that I had to rent to move the rest of my stuff. This is a bait and switch company they’re only address is for a mail store. They do not have a brick and mortar building. This place is a scam , I don’t know if I have enough space to list all of the other names they have had in the past , this is a bait and switch fraudulent company. My guess is they take your deposit then win the company they hired shows up and gives you another outrageous quote most people back down and this company gets to keep the deposit. You guys really messed with the wrong one this time , I know all about your company. My father’s law firm has done nothing but research all day. We know that you get your mailing address at Pak Mail. We know you have been named in a lawsuit. We know all of the other names your company has been under, and I was astonished 271 negative reviews in the past three years on the Better Business Bureau. you’re gonna come back and say that’s a different company. All you did was change your name , you would think while you’re under investigation from the FBI as well as the United States attorney’s office you guys would learn your lesson, apparently not attached is a portion of the email I was sent and where you messed up is it states it is a binding estimate I’m also attaching what a binding estimate is meaning you are bound to that charge and the listed items. Be looking to be served with paperwork even if an investigator has the hand out at your mail store until someone comes to check the mail.

Stay clear

Worst moving experience I have ever had. Lots of broken and missing items. 1st loaders did not speak English so hard to communicate with them. When unloaders arrived, not the same company who loaded. They had off loaded my items and put on a semi with other clients. The driver worked for the 2nd company but found his partner unloader unvetted that day on Craigslist . Stay clear. Would give zero stars if allowed

THIEVES

Per my conversation on September 1st with Corey Patterson, I was given 48 hours to cancel and void the contract without having the deposit of $1,112 withdrawn (see attachment which includes management permission). That same day I called Corey back and requested that he cancel everything after we did some calculations. I told him my mortgage as well as an earnest deposit for our new home will be withdrawn, which leaves us with very little in our pocket. He assured me that the contract would be voided, no money would be withdrawn, and that he would get in touch with billing and I would be hearing from them the following day at the very latest. I never heard from anyone the following day (September 2nd), nor did I receive any emails from anyone, including Corey. I reached out to Corey on September 3rd to confirm that everything was being taken care of because I could not afford those funds to be removed from my account nor did I give permission to have them withdrawn at this point. Again, Corey reassured me that it will be taken care of, no funds will be removed, and that I should be hearing from Megan very soon… I never heard from Megan or anybody else. September 6th rolls around and I see that the funds have been removed from my account. More than 48 hours have passed, I had requested a cancelation the SAME day that Corey wrote the contract and the funds are barely being withdrawn 5 days later… This is absolutely unacceptable. The funds should have never been withdrawn. UPDATE: this company reached out stating billing will be in touch within the week to rectify the situation after our first complaint was made with the BBB: billing has still not reached out and that was over a month ago. This is a joke. We called again and they gave us another excuse and said they’d call back in 72 hours. No call came. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Great College Move

Moved out of college across the state in Connecticut. A little out of their local moves but I chose this company because of their great service reviews! Those reviews definitely weren't wrong. Great little chat with the people who were helping me work, made me feel more like family than a customer. Considering the price I think I was robbing them for that service lol! All in all service was great, the price was great and the move was perfect!

STAY AWAY...DO NOT USE

Worst experience EVER. When we talked to the first person (Crystal), she was very nice. Gave us a quote and we signed the contract. Next we talked to Nick. Price went up $1000,.00 because we added on boxes but removed sectional couch from the move. Still price went up. He said the estimate was on the high side and that would be pretty much the cost. Today, movers showed up. We decided to eliminate a full bedroom suite from the move. They added on an additional 1600.00 (cash) because we needed more space than was quoted. How can we need more space when we eliminated furniture. We refused to pay more money so the movers left. We had a king size mattress and adjustable box spring and about 40 boxes Sm, med, 3 lg an 2 ex lg.

The cost went from $2900 to almost $5000. BIGGEST RIP-OFF EVER. We are out the $1100.00 down payment and we still need to move. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Long-distance move from Tacoma, WA to Killeen, TX

Worst Experience Ever

I am a 74-year old widow on social security and a small pension who had items in a 6 x 10 storage unit to move from Tacoma, WA to Killeen, Texas. My belongings took up the six feet width of the unit and was just short of 10 feet length. The unit was about 20 feet high and the highest item I had was a filing cabinet which was about 5 feet high. The estimated cost was $2,958.95. I paid a deposit of $1,330. On no less than 4 occasions I told Priceline the size of the unit and, although I did not have an inventory, gave them a description of the items I wanted moved. The movers brokered by Priceline looked at my belongings and charged me over double what was quoted. I was told that the legs on the two patio tables alone would exceed the allowable cubic feet. I was shown a contract that indicated that my unit was 5 x 10. In the estimate I had received from Priceline I was allotted 286 cubic ft (2000 lbs) at a rate of $5.50 per cf. I had no idea what size 286 cubic feet represented!! Apparently, that would be a storage unit that was 5 x 10 x 5! Even though I didn't know, they should have realized by the description of the items I said I had that they would not have fit into a unit that size! The movers packed the truck and said I had 889 cf of items and with the $733 fuel charge, and a $1550 binding estimate fee, plus a $400 discount, the total came to $6,772.93. And I was required to pay 50% in cash before they would move my few belongings. I've seen reviews from people who have had 2-4 bedroom homes moved across country and their contract was between $4 - $5,000. I'm sure the foreman representing the brokered moving company, Only1 Moving and Storage, LLC, was just doing his job. However, the additional charges are far too excessive for what I had. I had no household furniture or large appliances. My items only used a small portion of the back of the truck. I called Priceline Vans and they told me that the first problem was that the original estimate was for a unit that was 5 x 10. I was told that I was responsible for the upcharge since my items obviously exceeded the 286 cf and there was nothing I could do. I was responsible for the extra charge - period, the end. What a horrible scam to perpetrate on unsuspecting people. It appears to fall into the bait and switch technique of luring customers in with an unrealistic low ball price ( a 5 x 10 unit is typically 400-500 cubic feet) and then add additional charges. I realize we are supposed to read contracts, which I sadly did not fully read. However, when they rush you through the process you tend to go with the flow and not do your due diligence in reviewing documents. I should have noticed the mistake on the size of the unit. Even with that said, I still would not have expected that the one foot difference in the size of the unit would make a $4,000 difference in the amount I had to pay. This is simply preying on the lack of knowledge that many of us have about this pricing game that they are able to play with cubic feet and the rate per cubic foot, especially for some of us with a lack of knowledge about what constitutes a cubic foot. I am going to end up paying $5,442.93 more, after the deduction of the $1330 I already paid. Shameful.

Long-distance move from Mabton, WA to Hopkinsville, KY

This is a fraudulent company

I wrote this review like years ago and still get messages from people saying they've had the same bad experience! Don't waste your time people! You are getting ripped off. They take their time so you have to pay more then break your furniture on top of it. The management is extremely rude and unhelpful on top of it! But apparently since I'm writing a bad review it's just fake according to the owner

Scam!

This company is an absolute scam. Stay away! I gave a very descriptive list of items to be moved and not even half of the items fit in the allotted space. I called a week after they picked up my stuff for an update on when my items would be delivered and they told me there was an outstanding charge I had to pay but no one can tell me what the charge is. It’s been days and they keep giving me the run around and won’t tell me what the charge is but they also won’t deliver my stuff until the charge is paid.

Bad Experience!

Completely disorganized, brought too small of a truck, damaged several expensive pieces of furniture after refusing to wrap their legs despite asking multiple times, didn't allow me to purchase full insurance, attempted to take title to my furniture for filing a claim on standard insurance, billed me twice the estimate, and one mover got frustrated that he forgot to pack a couch and kicked one of my lamps, and shattered a concrete base on another one
