Oz Moving & Storage

Avoid at all cost. Used OZ Moving to move from NY to FL. Charged $2,500 for a small 1 bedroom which is way over priced, the delivery was delayed by a week, they broke a chair, sofa legs, and dresser drawers, missing/stolen 1 box full of expensive clothes and jackets worth thousands of $, delivery staff arrived with no clue of what they are doing and NO TOOLS to assemble the furniture!!!!!!! Rude Staff and NO customer service, no response to calls or emails, no compensation whatsoever and no efforts made to locate my missing box. I will be looking to legally pursue this matter.

AVOID this company, they will take your money and never respond to any calls or emails. Bunch of scammers.

I had a great experience with Oz.

This is my third move with Oz.

Jennifer provided great customer service in quoting and scheduling my move.

The moving crew of Pablo, Luis and Felix were excellent. They were very efficient and handled everything with care and took note of boxes marked Fragile.

The move out location was a 5th floor walk up but they never complained at all and were amazingly fast at moving the apartment contents.

The following day the crew arrived promptly at the time promised.

Overall an amazing experience and I would readily recommend Oz.

Do you want your toilet bowl cleaner packed with your clean linens? Boxes marked attic left in the basement? The Oz salesman who gave us our moving estimate, Moshe, upsold us on services that were never going to happen we since learned (such as removing wardrobe boxes at the end of the move). Their customer service rep, Allison, made the minimal effort to repair a broken window by contacting a single vendor who happened to be in completely different state. When he was unavailable she left it on us to resolve. David Dosen did absolutely nothing. Avoid this company. Especially in New Jersey, where they are unprepared to service their customers.

I have to say that this was the WORST move I have ever had in my many moves over 20 years. We hired OZ to move a 2 bed, 2 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn down to Dallas, and we paid them to pack all of our items (~$10K). The team led by Sion packed us up. The amount of things damaged from poor packing was in the hundreds of items. I don't know who trained the packers from Oz, but our stuff would have been better handled by the trash collectors. As a few examples, they damaged at least a dozen pieces of framed art because they packed them overlapping each other so that the frames scratched and dented themselves (one canvas was dented and destroyed). They threw at least 50 pairs of shoes loose into the bottom of a wardrobe box, so that the shoes scuffed each other. The box looked as though the movers were throwing the shoes away. Among the shoes were 2 pairs of Pradas, scuffed and damaged. They broke 4 dishes from poor packing, including a breakfast platter and a crystal cake platter. They packed ceramic planters without any wrapping so that one was shattered. The movers on arrival assembled our coffee table on top of our bare sofa, staining it from the dusty legs of the coffee table. The fabric liner of our ironing board was torn off the metal frame by being scraped against something during the move - unusable now. Though the staff was perfectly nice, if the purpose of a moving company is to move items intact from Point A to Point B, Oz deserves an F. I will never use this company again, and neither should you, unless you don't care about the state of your personal possessions and are fine throwing out items after the fact. To make matters worse, after I called Oz to tell them about the move, they asked me to send pictures, but there was no response after that. No apology, no sympathy for the loss of possessions, and no acknowledgement of the abysmal packing. We are now working with our insurance to recover damages (luckily we purchased a moving policy). I will now ask about packing skills and the approach to packing before selecting any moving company in the future. Thanks for the lesson, Oz.
