Moving.

I talked to several local moving company in the Miami area, and finally Ocean. I found Roman (Sales Person) to be very informative and gave me an accurate price with no hidden costs. He was very proffessional and immedialtely followed up to ensure that all went weel. The moving crew showed up on time and did an excellent job in packing up the furniture and protecting it to avoid damage. In summary I would highly recommend Ocean they did an excellent job! Long-distance move from Florida to Texas

From Miami to Houston.

An excellent service. They delivered when they promised. Kind people. A very handful help, both picking up and delivering. They packed all the loose stuff that we had around. Also did a quiet work, which is very good when you're moving on weekend days. I've recommended them my family and friends. An excellent service. They delivered when they promised. Kind people. A very handful help, both picking up and delivering.

DO NOT USE Ocean Moving & Storage.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  This was the absolute worst case scenario I could have possibly imagined for my move.  They lost a third of my boxes (and subsequently EVERY THING that held any meaning for me is now gone).  What they didn't lose, they destroyed.  I got only excuses, rudeness and disrespect from the company.  They don't call back when they promise to and their claims policies don't even amount to enough money to justify taking the time to file a claim. Besides, all the money in the world cannot replace your sentimental items such as family photos, mementos of a loved one who has passed, your professional portfolio or countless other things.  If you use this company, you will regret it.  You are better off moving yourself.

Long-distance move from Florida to North Carolina

Horrible Company.

On Dec 1, 2014 I was quoted $800 to move my belongings from Fla to NC. They were to arrive Fri Feb 27, 2015 and my things would arrive in NC by Monday march 2, 2015. I had a flight to leave on the 27th. They did not show up until the 28th. My cousin was there to let them in my old apartment to move my things. They then said my bill was going to be $2400! The driver George then said it would take 5-7 business days for the truck to arrive. I waited a week and still no truck. I then called them to see what was happening and told by the owner Eli that he could not reach me by phone so he dropped my belongings off in a storage unit in SC and I would have to pay storage fees to get it out. He was rude to me, called me a liar, meanwhile he was calling the wrong phone number. I then called a lawyer and no sooner do I hang up then Eli calls back apologizing saying I wouldn't have to pay the storage fees and he would have my stuff delivered in few days. Several more days go by and I call Eli again. He said the truck would be in NC that afternoon and then said I better make sure I have the money or I will not get my things. The truck shows up and driver said he could not unload until I paid him $1800 which was the balance after I already paid $600. The driver then told my daughter and son in law that Eli told him that we didn't have money to pay them and to drop my things off in storage in SC. He told me it was because he couldn't reach me. A very large expensive painting was not on the truck but it was on the inventory list which the driver agreed with me. I then called Eli's office and was told by Lauren who works for Eli that I should have done an inventory check before driver left, which I did and driver was aware. She then hung up on me. Not only was I overcharged 3x the amount I was quoted but also my valuable painting was stolen. I am a senior citizen and this isn't right.

Would NOT Recommend!

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. The worst experience ever! Although we watch them wrap and load everything; and felt that they did a pretty good job; when the furniture arrived, there was not one single item that arrived damage free. We have thrown away most of our furniture; and the stuff we elected to keep may be functional, but we either had to repair it or live with it. We had a brand new washer and dryer that are now dented; one TV is smashed on the corner; the other now has a big green line down one side; two office desks arrived in pieces - we couldn't even tell what they were. They were so anxious to unload everything and leave, that they didn't finish unwrapping things. We were left with tons of boxes, tape, and moving blankets to dispose of. I honestly don't know how a company like this stays in business! We paid good money for this mover; and then paid twice as much to replace most of our furniture.

Worst Moving company ever.

This is the WORST company to deal with on several levels. Doesn't deserve any stars. Owner and staff are unprofessional and yell and hang up on customers, lie, make excuses, intimidate and threaten. Laura (Office Mgr) is rude and hangs up on you. Drivers for the company beg for cash tips to their crew after the load. Original price quote based on line item inventory is manipulated under the false premise that your cubic measurement has increased (added items) so they try to pad the original price and get more money. Security for your things is seriously negligent (broken security cameras, roll up aluminum door) . Three families had their things on an Enterprise truck which was then stolen. Broward Sheriff Dept filed a police report and a Detective was assigned to the case. The truck and our things were finally found and the 3 families (me and 2 others) began the "hostage negotiations" for our things to be delivered by Ocean.
Ocean tried to charge me 1495.00 to have my things returned to me at my original address when I said I no longer trusted them with my move and cancelled. I refused stating that they already had 825.00 for a move from the gulf coast--across alligator alley--to Pembroke (not even leaving the state) and that they should deliver my things back to me at no charge. They refused telling me if they returned my things, it would cost me the remaining money on the original quote. I had to rent a van/gas at my own expense and go pick up my things at the Pembroke Park Office. The actual place of storage for your things is nothing more then a small, leaky, dirty industrial storage unit. If you have service or billing complaints, the owner and staff WILL open and go thru your bins/boxes. I found water in one of my bins. They do NOT use Ocean trucks. They use U-haul or Enterprise trucks. Sales Reps blatantly lie verbally and in email sending you out of date pictures of new shiny Ocean trucks which they do not have to prove they are authentic and should be trusted.
DO NOT trust this company with your things or your move. I have been in contact with the other 2 families and we have all filed official complaints with the Dept of Transportation and I have contacted a lawyer and will be suing for security negligence, fraudulent business practices, and reimbursement.

Ocean Moving Stole From Us.

I spent 5 weeks calling and complaining about $500 worth of missing containers. Ilya Bondar, the ONLY customer service person you will be allowed to talk to, told me that the matter would not be investigated any further. The pick-up driver told his superiors that I asked him not to move the items. As far as they are concerned, I am still in possession of the containers.

I am so incensed..and I feel stupid that I didn't investigate Ocean Moving and their practices further.

Do yourself a favor and run as fast as you can from this company. I can take the loss, but I can't believe that my moral character was being called into question. This is one messed up company.

If they could get 0 stars they would. Moving Nightmare.

This company is terrible. I told them I needed my stuff from atlanta to california by the 17ths. I called on the 17th and my stuff was still in georgia. then they nickle and dimed to get more money out of me. They quote you amounts and terms over the phone and once they get there its a whole different story. When you bring up how they told you wrong information they act like they don't know anything. The same day they tell me first 1w steps free the mover telling me hes charging 75 dollars every 7 steps. The woman tells me to cal her back if theirs a problem the mover purposely comes during closing time I cal her the next day and she passes me off saying she's sorry. While im out 225 more dollars. The company knew the steps before the quote was given. Then the deliverer claims he couldn't find my imac that I use for work. We threaten to call the cops and what do you know now he happens to find it. This company is nothing but scam artist. For the sake of your sanity and money please stay away from them. I would've give them half a star if I could. Literally the ONLY they did right was get it here relatively fast after the many complaints, but even the driver(the guy who I believed tried to take my iMac was trash with doing that. Just stay far away and clear from this company.

Long-distance move from Cary, NC to Cumming, GA

Stay Away!

This is by far the worst moving company I have experienced. My parents moved from NC to GA and wanted to take the hassle out of moving. They decided to use Best Interstate Moving and Storage because of their high reviews. Even though they were more expensive than other companies my parents thought it was worth it based on the quality they thought they would get. Even though the company said they were not a broker they are. They hired Ocean Moving and Storage as the moving company without our knowledge (which has horrible reviews). Their team lead Shawn came with a crew and packed up my parents house. He left without giving my parents a chance to check the house. They ended up not packing an entire room. My parents had to make multiple trips to GA with the leftover things and rent a storage unit. Keep in mind they already spent over $7000 to the moving company. Both companies were very difficult to get a hold of when my parents were ready for the delivery. We finally got a hold of them to deliver where Shawn shows up with an attitude and completely inappropriate behavior. We just wanted the job done at that point so we put up with it. The other guy who was helping was asking very private questions about the house- who is living there, how much the house was which made my parents very uncomfortable. Again we just wanted the things delivered so we wouldn’t have to deal with them. Towards the end we saw them participating in illegal substances on my parents property. At that point I said something to them and then they literally ran to the truck and drove off very fast in the residential area. They left the work undone and not sure if the truck was even empty with our stuff. I called Iris the next day who is the manager and she acted sweet and understanding and said she will take care of it and will send a couple of guys to finish the job. A week goes by and no communication from the company or Iris. I called multiple locations and Iris but no communication. I then reached out to Best Interstate since they are the company my parents signed the contact with. Stephanie Little was suppose to get back but never did. Bottom line - stay away from both companies. They were awful to work with, rude, sent some shady people to my parents house and did not finish the job. They took zero responsibility for anything. They charged twice for some items and on top of all this they damaged quite a few items in the process. These guys are bad news, stay away from them save some grief.

Long-distance move from Worcester, MA to Myrtle Beach, SC

Lies, poor customer service and rude.

I recommend AGAINST this company.
A. Bottom line:
They lied to me multiple times through the process and I wouldn't trust anything they say.
B. The lies
"We are carriers and not a brokerage"-Lie
"I would be your contact person through out the process unlike other companies"-big lie. Their pick-up team showed up at my doorstep and started brandishing a different agreement (few hundred dollars more) with my name and details on it. I never signed this agreement and I couldn't reach my contact person in the company. Their customer service person threatened to not return my deposit if I don't cooperate with the new terms.
C. More lies and rude:
Their pick up team was incredibly rude. When I refused to accept the new terms and stood my ground, they dropped all my stuff in the first floor and left (I had to move them back to the second level while I arranged for another moving company).
Initially they promised a certain deadline but that changed when their pick up team showed up. They said that they can't promise a date and it could be 4 weeks or more.
D. Took forever to return deposit
After doing all this they took a very long time to return my 300+ dollar deposit. (I just finished my education and moving for job. I had to hire someone for more money in the last minute while these guys were holding onto my deposit).
