It is refreshing to work with a company where customer service and customer satisfaction is a high priority.  Alma Lopez of the Client Loyalty Team was exceptional.  At 5PM the day before my move she was able to handle my need to reschedule our pick-up time.  WELL DONE! The team of Factor, Daniel and Javier arrived on time.  Friendly, couteous, a professional team.  The efficiency, expertise of manuvering large, heavy pieces of furniture and the care shown is to be commended.  Being thanked for the opportunity to perform the move was a nice touch and reflects the training  and focus of Northstar.  .

Service cost: $550

Northstar moved a couple rooms worth of furniture and items from California to Massachusetts recently for me. I am extremely pleased with the service and every individual I encountered from initial point of contact to delivery on the other side of the country.  All individuals were professional, courteous and helpful at packing, suggestions, unpacking and placement. The price was reasonable, the job was perfomed well.  I would recommend Northstar, and use them again.

Service cost: $1800

I have moved multiple times over the years and this was the first time I had to do it alone.    The movers on both ends were excellent.  They took their time in making sure everything was wrapped well and protected.  But they certainly didn't waste any time at all.    The fellows in San Francisco, Juerdo, Migel and Bruce were great.  They couldn't do enough for me and were so appreciative of my getting lunch.  You would have thought I gave them a million dollars.    Alex and Jasper arrived with my load in South Carolina.  By time time they were ready to leave, they called me Mom and hugged me good bye.    This was a very stressful situation, as I was sick, but all of the guys made it as easy as it could be.    I would recommend them and NorthStar to my friends and family.    I am really into the details and they kept me informed almost everyday and for me that service was priceless.   .

Service cost: $4400

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Do it yourself before you hire them. They are masters of the "bait & switch." Our estimate went up 250%. In their contract it states that the estimate includes, "Expert advice and guidance throughout the course of your move." Don't fall for it. Once they get your deposit safely into their coffers, you are on your own. They don't return phone calls, and if you happen to get someone on the phone, they are rude, distant and could care less about the customer/consumer. They will rip you off, and then tell you there's nothing they can do about it. Our bid started at $2,200 and finished at $5,600. They have no problem telling you that your move has been delayed 2-3 days and that your items won't be delivered until the end of the month (at the beginning of the month). We are still waiting to receive our items. They are sitting in Chicago!

These guys kicked a**!! Gadi set is up for success! He cane met with me and my client and prepared an unbeatable quote. I am a professional organizer and do this every week. Just grateful. Honestly every guy worked hard and kept working each hour of each day. William and Randy were fantastic foremen. I can’t rave enough about William’s attention to detail and Randy’s organization. Grade A work. Please let the office know they have me 13 great guys. Brynt was impressive. Justin and James, though young never stumbled Renaldo and Jorge also were great. And the girl with the impossible name fantastic packing in the kitchen. There was this soccer playing guy Ariascel(sp?) young, but so smart. I am stoked.

I reviewed Northstar 7 years ago when we first used them for a full pack and move, and I'm reviewing them again because 7 years later they were EVEN BETTER.
Ron Cohen once again was the awesome point of contact, the manager who helped make all of the arrangements for me.
He sent an AWESOME crew, of William P (the leader), Jorge L and Bryant, and those 3 packed us up SO well, and went above and beyond asking us what we still needed or even just mildly preferred to not have packed yet, and they left those things on purpose. This was huge since we have a newborn with many helpful devices we got to keep that last night in our place.
The next day a 4th guy, Reynaldo was added to their crew to finish the pack and then do the move. When ready for moving they sent over a 2nd truck with yet another 3 guys (wow!) and everyone was friendly and carefully asking where we wanted things. Use them!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2800

During our move on Dec. 30th, 2019, I had major back and disc problems preventing me from moving around easily. During our move, I left my Rolex in my bathroom by my sink. When my wife went back to get it from our old house it was gone. Only the movers had access to our home, no one else. There was nothing in the bathroom for them to move either. All 7 movers denied taking the watch, but there is no other explanation. I didn't pack the watch or misplace it. The last time I saw it was 11 am on the day of the move. I've filed a police report and notified Rolex as well and even did my own investigating calling up local Pawn shops. So disappointing that one of these seven movers would take the watch after I gave them each a $100 tip. On top if it, this company who I thought was reputable, has done little to assist me, very sad. All I'd like is for my watch to be returned or compensate me to replace it.

Very poor and disappointing experience - please be sure to do your due dilligence and look past the "glowing" reviews because I don't want others to be left high and dry like I was. I worked with three gentlemen - Alex Michaels, Edgar Contreras, and Harmindeep. During the quoting process, they were easy to work with and seemed to be very accomodating - I greatly appreciated their efforts at the beginning of the process. Once I confirmed the move and we began the process of moving my stuff from SF to DC, things took a sharp turn.

I must warn you to be very aware of this Delivery shuttle they charge for that they tell you "will be refunded" if not used. Essentially, as part of the payment they charge you $775 ahead of time in case their 18 wheeler is unable to fit at the destination - if it does fit, they refund you.

After upwards of 10 calls with Alex, he confirmed to me that they will first try to move using the 18 wheeler and only if they are unable, will I be charged the $775 - this sounded good to me and understandable. Just to ensure that their 18 wheeler had plenty of room to unload and that they wouldn't need the shuttle, I had them deliver to Maryland instead of DC because I knew there would not be room in DC and I couldn't afford the risk of paying $775. Alex agreed this was a good idea so I purchased my own Uhaul (much cheaper than the $775 they charge, what a joke) to meet them in Maryland and transport my stuff on my own to ensure they do not need the shuttle and I will not be charged the $775.

Low and behold, my furniture arrives today and they already went ahead and got the shuttle, charging me $775 without ever trying the 18 wheeler and never bringing this to my attention even after I stressed how important this was to Alex.

Harmindeep called me and I was admittingly very frustrated by this unexpected charge - he told me "it was not their fault" and waived by 3% credit card fee instead (how nice of your Harmindeep!!!)

All and all just a very poor experience - they seem great on the front end but things will change once they are in possession of your belongings. Really a terrible way to begin my move back to the east coast to take care of my sick family member - $775 that I could have really used right now. Hoping no one else has to go through this.
