My hubby and I recently decided to use a moving company to assist us in moving from NJ to NY. I wasn't too pleased about the move since I am well aware of everything that moving entails. A coworker of mine recommended New Jersey Transport since her in-laws had used them when they moved to Florida. My representative Vanessa, was very helpful and explained the whole moving process. We decided to hire them because of their good reputation and positive reviews. On the day of the move. , the workers arrived on time and we ready to work. They treated our belongings with care and made sure to pack them on the truck carefully. Everything was unpacked and taken care of within the day. I recommend this company to anyone looking for quality movers.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $758

I have to agree with "scam scam scam". Total nightmare. Wish I could give them negative stars. They breached a contract, putting our items in storage TWICE. They asked us to lie to insurance and say items were never in storage. They LOST an item of furniture that is extremely hard to replace (but made us pay the balance before they unloaded the truck, so we didn't know the item was missing). They didn't deliver on time, didn't call with delivery windows. Never returned phone calls. THE WORST COMPANY EVER. I'm so frustrated at this company that if it takes me a week to write reviews on every single website that mentions their name, so be it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3000

NJ Transport did a Great Job Moving my Mom down to Florida. My Mom is 74 and wasn't able to pack her house by herself. The movers came and packed everything in less than 3 hours. Everything was labeled, inventoried and loaded on the truck. The delivery was 2 days late but the weather was treacherous so I understand that. The delivery guys was awesome. They staged her furniture and even set her her TV. These guys definitely deserve 5 STARS.. Thank you and I will recommend you to all of my friends.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4300

This was the worst moving experience I have ever had.They arrived late, then the foreman told me he would need the whole potential fee (7hrs for a 1.5 block move, though I was assured that it would end up being less than that and I did not have to pay the whole estimate) or he was leaving. NJT knew we needed to move that day, as we had rescheduled once. I called Vanessa, one of their behind the scenes people, who assured me they would take care of it. We would be refunded the money. She was so nice and seemed concerned, so we trusted her.

Long story short, we were never refunded the money. The team broke my bed, we're out over a thousand dollars. In the following days I called repeatedly and found out that they hadn't even done the move - they had been overbooked, and asked a sister company to do this instead. No one thought to tell me that until a week and several calls later, when they basically said "this is no longer our problem, take it up with a company you were not contracted with."

This was illegal, this was theft, and I do not recommend working with these liars.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1130

These guys are involved in illegal practices including black mailing and illegal possession of other people’s property.

I hired them to pickup my luggage from old house on day 1 and deliver to the new house on day 2. After getting all luggage details they agreed to do the job for $1200, that included overnight hold. They picked up all the luggage from old house on day 1 but didn’t show up at the new house on day 2. When I called they asked me to immediately wire $3500 to a bank account otherwise no luggage will be delivered. After hours of unfruitful “negotiations”, I gave up and paid $3500 in cash on day 3 morning in exchange for the promise that the luggage would be delivered the same day. After that, they stopped receiving my calls. After 20+ unattended calls, I called local township police around 8 PM on day 3 and explained the situation. Police called their office and left a voicemail asking for the explanation. Luggage showed up at my doorstep on day 4 morning without any prior notice. The labor told me that they were there to simply deliver the goods and had no idea what’s going on behind the scenes.

My family had nothing in the new house during that time, that included my mom’s medicine. We were surviving on take out food in disposable plates and portable mattresses borrowed from friends. I’m going to involve local municipality and law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter in order to protect others from falling victim of this scheme. I hired NJT to move my parents to Venice, FL. I contacted them for a estimate The salesperson was extremely informative. She gave me many useful tips to help my parents with their move. I did hire the company to pack their boxes as well. They completed the pack and load in one day. The men were professional. I was concerned about delivery since I had to coordinate my parents arrival in FL. The customer service representative (Erica) was such a help during this process All went well with the delivery. I would recommend NJT to family and friends. Thanks again for everything.

I recently used New Jersey Transport to Move from New York to Florida.
I got calls from several companies and felt that I got the most information from New Jersey Transport.
The person I spoke to told me everything I needed to do to make sure I had no surprises on the day of the move.
He was very thorough and spent time to make sure I understood everything.
The day of the move went smooth and the price quoted did go up slightly because I didn't have a box for the tv's or a mattress cover for my box spring and mattress .
That was about $100 for packing materials .Delivery also went smooth and I received my things in 8 days.
I never leave reviews but I would recommend New Jersey Transport .

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1900

Hi every one , I really wants to say few good words on this guys and they are reaelly deserve it .
the guys were great! fast ,professional , very caring and polite .
they wraped all furnitures with pads , all glasses in boxes with bubble wrap , tagged it all and put on the truck.
at the next day I had the same truck and crew at my place in NH .
same was here , great service and great communication .
i can't thank you enough for the service you provided .

I have moved 11 times in the past 10 years. This by far was the WORST experience ever! I was originally contacted by a representative after a posting a job on labor site. I wanted a flat rate estimate and was convinced by the rep that I would most likely end up spending more money than necessary because their guys were quick and efficient movers. Against my better judgement, I went along with her suggestion. The movers came on Monday morning and arrived around 10. The "chief" Walter, immediately started acting like it was a problem to park his truck and get work started. He even advised it would be best to sit and wait for 30 minutes until he could park his truck where he needed to. I told him, that I would not be paying for wasted time and that he and his workers could come upstairs and start wrapping items and move everything to the lobby to get started then move his truck when the space became available. He reluctantly agreed and it took another 15 minutes for them to come up to my apartment. I learned later that they start charging when they arrive on site. So I basically was charged for 40 minutes of them doing absolutely nothing. Once he got upstairs, he immediately started pointing out upcharges. So apparently, wrapping and packing mirrors, printers, computers.. etc. is NOT included! To wrap a mirror with materials that we DO NOT KEEP was $35 alone. I listed all of the mirrors in my house during the phone estimate and not once did they mention it is extra for them to wrap these items. My husband ended up putting all of our pictures, frames and mirrors to the side and we had to move them ourselves so that we wouldn't have to pay an exorbitant cost when it was all said and done. Once they moved all of our belongings into the new house, for one, they piled the boxes so high to the ceiling that it has been a struggle organizing and arranging them in order to unpack. They scratched up our leather couch, scuffed up our freshly painted walls and then only put back 2 pieces of furniture that they disassembled. We were assured that anything they disassemble to move, they reassemble once at the new house. That was a lie. At the end of this horrible move, I ended up spending $100 OVER the original estimate. THEN Walter had the NERVE to ask for a tip and told me the minimum is 20%. WHAT?? First of all, asking for a tip when you didn't even move all of our things or set our beds back up was extremely bold! But on the other hand, I felt bad that the men that came with him wouldn't get anything for their hard work, since they weren't the ones in charge and had nothing to do with Walter's poor service or money scams. I ended up writing a check for the staff, but now that I think of it I hope that the workers are the actual ones who received the money and NOT the scamming "chief."

Listen, RUN!! Run from this company! Do NOT let them take your money the way they did to me. Their service is horrible and at the end of the day they are just trying to make as much money off of you as possible- they don't care about the service or making sure your things remain in pristine condition.

I saw the good reviews and decided to give them a try. But I regret it soooooo much!

Despite receiving my request not to deliver my items before a certain date in writing, the trucker called me one day a week before they were to be delivered and said he was dropping my things off at noon or I would have to pay for storage. they also charged me $400 over the estimate to boot (didn't let me know until the trucker called me), and then when I asked for a break on the overcharge for dropping things off early they said no. the person I booked the move with was my best friend before they picked up my things and then completely passed me off. these are the movers that other movers warn you about. go with someone else.
