Medal of Honor Moving Group

I wanted to adjust the previous review made based on MOHMG response, but was unable to figure out how to do so and so I wrote a new review.

As mentioned before, Chris was exceptional when detailing my initial moving expectations.

After my previous review and prior to MOHMG responding, I called and spoke to their CSR manager, who I have to commend for her professionalism and attention to detail. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name, otherwise I could credit her here.

I expressed my displeasure at the choice of company, timeline, and communicative practices.

The CSR manager I spoke to listened, explained what the process could look like going forward and assured me that she would take the issue to her GM right away.

I would like to make it known that MOHMG’s customer service has ALWAYS been exemplary. My issue was with the online reputation of the company selected to be responsible for my move.

MOHMG, I don’t want a refund or compensation. I agreed to the amount and I’m going to pay that amount. All I ask is that you ensure other customers are serviced by third party entity’s that exhibit the same customer service standards that you do.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $2600

In July, I had a small move (1 bedroom apartment) but a long distance (Texas to Michigan). Every other moving company I booked with would either cancel at the last minute, or else they would fail to find me a truck in time, and on the day of the scheduled move, they would tell me that they were still trying to find a truck for me.

Eventually, it was just a day or two before my move, and I was getting anxious. My apartment lease was going to end, and I still hadn't found a way to move my things.

I called Medal of Honor, and they promised me that they could have a truck the next day! I signed the contract, and just a few hours later, I got a call from Early Bird Moving & Logistics, telling me that they were hired by Medal of Honor, and that would be arriving "tomorrow."

Sure enough, the next day, Early Bird Moving & Logistics showed up with a truck.

My things got loaded up, and just a few days ago, I received all my goods, undamaged. At this moment, I am typing this review on the desktop computer that came off the truck, undamaged.

(The shipment took about a month because I only filled up about 1/3 of a truck. They filled the rest of the truck with other people's shipments, and they made a few deliveries in other states before they got to mine. I only had to pay for 1/3 of a truck, but in return, I had to wait longer for my delivery.)

So in summary, Medal of Honor came through. Every other company had been canceling on me, but Medal of Honor found me a truck with one day's notice. And that truck - driven by Early Bird Moving & Logistics - delivered all my goods, safe and sound, for the agreed price. That's everything I wanted.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2800

I was very satisfied with Medal of Honor Moving Group. The estimation in terms of the cubic feet was very accurate and their estimate on the cost of the move as a result was spot on. Our house was not finished on time, foundation issues cause a delay of almost a year but it was in increments. I had to adjust our moving dates at least 6 times and every time I called MOHMG they were helpful, courteous, and most importantly very understanding. They were a pleasure to work with.

It is true that they are not the movers but rather an agency, but their price was in line with the other folks I called when comparing prices.

The thing that keeps me from giving them a 5 is not MOHMG specifically, but rather the folks that they contracted with to move us. This company was also courteous but tried cutting too many corners (like size of truck and number of movers) in order to maximize their own profit. Everything was moved basically on time but it was not a pleasant experience.

Having said that, MOHMG listened to my complaint about the company and seemed genuinely concerned with my move and the feedback I provided them.

I guess the bottom line is -- "Would I go through MOHMG again" and the answer is "Yes".

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $16000

Medal of Honor is not a moving company, but in fact a brokerage company. The quote we received from them was significantly better than any other quote, so we opted to go with them. They require a deposit up front, which should have been our first red flag. Less than a week before our move, after not hearing anything, we contacted them to set up final plans, which is when we discovered they are a brokerage firm. They also had conveniently left off almost half of our belongings on the inventory estimate, so our price more than doubled. So close to our move, it was too late to switch companies and we had already paid them money. They will broker you out to the lowest bidder and we unfortunately had all kinds of issues with the actual moving company - see my review of Quick Easy Movers for more details. I do not recommend their services at all. I truly believe their marketing strategy is to underestimate your inventory in order to win your business.

Wow I’m floored. I just got off the phone with Las Vegas Metro Police (they called me) last night because I’m in the midst of an insurance claim with a moving company called Konami Moving out there (I’m now in Michigan from Cali). This is now a federal investigation with the FBI?? and DOT and they now have an attorney involved as well because state lines were crossed and over 60 clients things were stolen. Medal of Honor was and is apart of the scam as well. He said any broker that booked Konami was well aware and they’re all in on it together. And I was told to delete my original reviews last month because Kevin said it would “kill them” business wise, but at this point, I sure hope it does. You guys are going down and I hope it was worth it when you’re all sitting in prison for stealing money booking these bogus moves, peoples lifelong possessions and everything we’ve worked hard for. This was what I originally wrote on 2/1/2021 that I was begged totakedown from Medal of Honor Moving Group. And do not call me again either begging me to take it down, or I will be turning your name/numberoverto the police. Even though by now you know it already has☺️

The movers held my things hostage for 3 months, to end up with a small box of memories out of an entire apartment full of stuff. And they sent me 2 boxes that weren’t even mine! It was some other lady’s in Aurora, Colorado that they got me mixed up with! Just a mess but I’m so happy that something will get done for all of us, but it’ll never replace what we lost. Not even insurance money?

I’m literally sitting in my car bawling my eyes out screaming because I can’t believe what I just heard on the phone. After waiting since October 30, 2020, the night my things were picked up days late) on an update on when my things would be delivered) I was just told that ALL my furniture, goods, pictures of my son’s last 4 school years (he’s now 6) were stolen from the moving truck. And I got the same exact call back in November, but apparently nothing was stolen that time. First off, I was basically stalked back in September/October 2020 by Alex, a rep from MOH when I put in I was looking for movers for California to Michigan towards the end of the year. He seemed nice and my fiancé even said yea let’s go with him. I was assured that my things would get to me in a timely manner. I paid the deposit of $563. I was supposed to be picked up 10/27-10/28 but the truck broke down and I had to wait and change my flight information. Something told me then don’t. This will be a nightmare and it’s already starting to be with them being late AND costing me more money for our flights. They finally show up 10/30, seemed like decent guys. I tipped well and they said it usually takes no more than 2-4 weeks for your stuff to be delivered. Oh let’s not forget the cost was an extra $700 on top of what I was originally told. Had to pay them that before they left. Another red flag. We fly to Michigan on Halloween. I get a call from Karen,a manager mid November stating that a truck was stolen and my things were on it. I’m freaking out and she said give us a week and I’ll let you know but to file a claim. She calls me back a week or so later stating your things are fine, all accounted for. I’ll call you when we’re ready to leave. Weeks go by again. I’m still calling for updates in between time but no avail. I finally get a call from a rep Destiny on 12/9 stating hey the truck is leaving out the next morning. Follow up with us in a week if you haven’t heard anything from dispatch.I’msoHappy. I call back 12/17 bc of course no update from dispatch or the moving company and she said the registration was expired. But they updated it and we’ll call back when they’re ready to leave again. I get a call from Amber the same night stating hey they’ll be leaving out to delivery your things 12/21. Since it’s been so chaotic with these people, I call late 12/21 to make sure things are running smoothly. Nope. We’ll call you back to make sure they left. No call all week. And of course it’s Christmas so....I call back 12/28. She says I’m not sure but with Covid drivers are scarce blah blah. But someone will update you next week. I have to make this brief bc the characters will only allow 5000.After this, it’s a runaround for another month until they finally call back 2/1/2021 stating sorry we only have 3 boxes left for you after we went through the “warehouse”??mindyou,2ofthemaren’tevenmine. the officer said it looked like Raider of the Lost Ark when they went there. Stuff sprawled all over the place as if they had to move quickly swapping stolen goods. I felt so defeated, but I was glad to hear back from Las Vegas police knowing this is a federal case now. Word to the wise, do NOT use this broker or Konami Moving. You see my story, now I’m starting completely over. Thank goodness I have renters insurance or I’d be screwed. Come to find out, their “claims” company is in this too. It’s that deep.

Medal Of Honor was one of the first ones to get back to me and with an actual reasonable quote. I was very busy and I couldn’t even pack my own stuff so I needed the moving service to do it for me. Some services were trying to quote me 1.5-2K for what would've been a 2-hour drive. I know moving is not an easy task at all but those quotes were just out the roof.

Thankfully Medal Of Honor’s quote was within my budget… I have no complaints whatsoever! They came on time, wrapped everything up for me, and within the next 4 hours I was at my new place along with my stuff. I gave them a good tip because they earned it. If it’s not obvious by now I would highly recommend these movers

Coming from someone with parents who were constantly moving as a child, I know that moving can be tiresome. So it is relief to say that my experience with Medal of Honor was very positive, especially with me moving from Newark (NJ) to Dallas (TX).

The team was attentive from the beginning, offering pleasant customer service. All arrangements were taken care of beforehand, and I had no surprises, as is usually expected. The crew was professional, quick on their feet, their service was impeccable, and my belongings were handed with care.

I am glad Medal of Honor made this a nice and easy experience, and I highly recommend their service.
