Master Movers

As I have read many reviews on this company and I also experience a very bad out-of-state move with this company. Do not use. Since I am a business owner personally myself may I say something to Master Movers. You should never post a response to a customer to continue to defend yourself. It is poor business ethics and try working with a customer in a speedy phone call instead of defending yourself on customers reviews. You do not even speak well nor do you write proper English. This all saddens me because my furniture was damaged and jewelry coming out of drawers that was wrapped and not taken out. They would not listen to the customer. I was picking up jewelry as my roommate and my neighbor also. Does your train people not have enough sense to stop at that point? The Armoire fell off their rollers and was way to heavy to load on the truck even. Commonsense obvious. I said stop. You need ramps too. You Damaged my furniture. It was absolutely pointless and left me devastated for a long move of worry. They were 30 miles ahead of me but yet they were not here at my new place for an hour later. My roommate was in an accident on top of it. I personally had no contact number and they had no on-call person to locate them. It was late evening and 2 guys speaking no English as I walked by and by myself. Yes, argue with me that I sign papers only under distress to get them out of my home with safety. They wanted to send someone to help clean my garage up and send a claim form. You’re not allowed at my home. Yes I will pursue you. I am more determined after seeing responses from Master Movers. They will also will use the word fraud against you when it comes to getting their pay instead hearing a customer. I am thankful as a business owner to make sure my customers is heard and at least get a follow up courtesy call. Master Movers please make a response to this review. Be careful what you say to customers on here. I will use your responses against you also. You don’t need to argue how many years you’ve done business as I can also can argue my many years. Sorry you treat your customers this way with petty responses. Yes this is a very serious customer and losing my mother and grandmothers heirloom jewelry that no one can replace. I cannot replace that ever. I am sick and I am sick my children will not have that. So respond with argumentative remarks. It would serve others to get a home evaluation before moving and I did not even get the courtesy of that. The truth!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2600

My wife and I set out to start the year renewing energies, in the plans was to start a new home in a more pleasant area in which we could start a family. Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $900

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $850

People, Don't do it, don't do it, don't do it. I am still trying to recover from the nightmare of my move on September 6. Every time I open a box that they packed I want to cry. They don't pack, they dump. I had my vinyl record collection (50 years) in a particular order packed in milk crates. They literally dumped the records into 2 huge tall boxes (wardrobe boxes) that weigh so much I can't move them and can't reach into the boxes. The records are scattered helter skelter. Every box they packed is like that. Furniture damaged, SS refrigerator door handles scratched. If a box or tote I packed was marked KITCHEN it ended up in the bedrooms and vice versa but most of my boxes and totes were thrown into the garage to the point we had to take everything out and rearrange it. They use their tape to tape everything to the point of ridiculous so you have to pay for more packing materials. There are items missing AND things that were supposed to be on the trucks were left behind. I discovered that 2 days after the move when I went back to clean the house. When I arrived every light including outside lights were left on and every door was unlocked. They tell you they are "the professionals, they know what they're doing". Not true. Last bit of advice: Don't hire a mover who doesn't come to your house first and see all that you have. I ended up paying more than 3 times the over the phone quote only to have my belongings mistreated, broken or scratched. If they know you have to move that day they will take you to the cleaners because they know they got you. These people have no business ethics whatsoever. They bait you with a low ball quote, you agree, put down your deposit and the nightmare begins.

I was raised to give praise when it is earned. My husband and I want to thank Master Movers and the individuals involved in our move. The young lady in the office Marilyn who has been so sweet and soft spoken and took the time provide me with different choices for our move. The wonderful young gentlemen who came to our house and performed the move Isaac, Curtis, Alex, and Ronald. I can tell you this much, These men did not dilly dally or loaf around. Once they arrived Curtis performed a walk-through with us, I took him to the parlor and pointed out antique pieces that I wanted to have additional pads put on . davenport, pie safe with tin, my tables with ball and claw feet, I also instructed them to use additional blankets on my pineapple bed and chiffarobe and icebox and wringer washer. The young men went to work straight away padding every single piece of furniture to be sure it was protected until it arrived at our new home. Then headed to the stoop and lifted with ease the metal chairs and glider settee. Lastly the garage which my husband and I never got a chance to declutter. One of the young men even found a couple of valises that I had been searching for 2 years for ( they contained old family photos) and pointed them out to me. It took 4 gentlemen and 2 trucks and several hours to move 30 years worth of furniture and miscellaneous items and boxes. We have no damages to report. We knew the job was big. It was going to take time to do it like we wanted and they wanted especially since we had forgotten to give a full list. Mac and I know the gentleman and company are worth every penny spent. Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2200

Both workers were slow and the guy who was the team leader (David) had hurt his back days before and could only move small items. Would not take plastic bags, and I had to call the supervisor.David said it was Company Policy. Company Policy was not addressed in my quote nor was the addl charges about wrapping your furniture. All my small night stands and end tables were turned upside down and all the contains fell into the other drawers. When the movers reached the destination they were so slow my Brother and Brother in Law helped to unload the truck.
OMG never again.
