Long-distance move from California to Pennsylvania

Do Not Hire.

If I could give zero stars for this company I would **DO NOT HIRE THEM** As the previous reviewer stated..without a doubt THE WORST MOVING COMPANY!!   I used to work in retail so I am generally more generous when I deal with anyone in customer service, but I am so outraged by this company that I feel the need to WARN OTHERS.  We wanted an easy move tom California to Pennsylvania so we decided to make the investment in a full service move. That means..you pay A LOT more.  Since our bill was $3,400 for a ONE BEDROOM APT I expected to..I don't know..GET ALL OF OUR BELONGINGS BACK!!   The gentlemen who came and packed up our apartment were nothing but friendly and nice. Yes, they missed a couple of cabinets and our entire coat closet..but I was more than willing to overlook that. We simply packed up anything they missed in the car..and while it was a tight squeeze..we managed. Anything that did not fit, we had to give away. Annoying but not the end of the world.    It was a total pain to get an idea of when our belongings would be delivered. I understand that they have other customers and it's all dependent on the route..but then showed up at 7pm on a Friday night with little warning. Again, not the end of the world but annoying.  The kicker..before we hired this company..we had THREE employees take a look at the map and make sure the truck would be able to get to our street without having to load everything on a smaller truck (an extra $400 charge). I was ASSURED that they could make it and I would not have to pay the $400 Shuttle fee.  SURPRISE SURPRISE..the driver calls THAT NIGHT..and I had to go to the ATM and withdrawal $400 cash otherwise they would not deliver our stuff.  My boyfriend called the company to complain and to make sure the driver just isn't pocketed $400 of my hard earned dollars.  (I just have to say..we just paid over $3,000 for movers..how many people really have $400 just laying around that they didn't expect to pay ?!?!)  The office said they would refund us $100..NEVER HAPPENED.This company FLAT OUT LIES!!   On top of all of this..the movers did not deliver TWO of of boxes which included my boyfriend ENTIRE WARDROBE.  We had to go buy him BRAND NEW suits (over $1,000), shoes and all new clothes. He only had one suitcase worth of clothing with me. They also contained my books, paperwork and other essential items I need to run my business.  This happened April 20, 2013..it is now JULY and we still don't have our belongings. The office and the driver keep giving us the run around and saying that it will be delivered when they are "in the area"  So..we are supposed to just wait months?!! They also claim that it's too expensive to mail them to us. WELL $3,400 IS TOO EXPENSIVE to hire your LYING CHEATING COMPANY!!    We just hired a lawyer to help get our belongings back..do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. We would have been better off moving ourselves!

Long-distance move from Texas to Massachusetts

"Sometimes you don't have time to be professional".

"Sometimes you don't have time to be professional"..that pretty much sums up my experience with Liberty relocation. Those are the exact words the driver said to one of the movers while he was trying to take apart one of my bookcases. Right then and there, I knew I was in for some garbage. Sure enough. The moving team showed up looking dirty and unkempt..every other moving company I've worked with all showed up in clean uniforms with collared shirts. The driver (Jack) REPEATEDLY SCREAMED AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS to his moving crew--it's a one-bedroom apartment..you don't have to yell, and plus I have neighbors. Then the DRIVER tried to snap on me when I told him that I didn't want a bookshelf taken apart and that I had discussed it over the phone with Bobby. Just unprofessional and thuggish. Every step of the way.  My estimate was for $2700. By the time they finished the "estimate" was over $4000. Why? In my initial inventory that I went through over the phone with Bobby, I told him point-by-point, detail-by-detail EVERY single item that I had. You know what he said to me? "Don't worry about that stuff, we just move the whole room". I took him at his word. So my inventory only had about 35 things on it, because that's all that Bobby told me to account for. Imagine my surprise when the driver told me I had over 180 items that he had to account for and that he was charging me extra for each and every one of them. That's what I call a scam. But frankly, I'm on my way to a new job and I don't have time to quibble over this shadiness (for instance, why is the check made out to Oracle Marketing) right now, so I go ahead and pay the driver his ADDITIONAL $2300 (above the estimated $1000 I was prepared to pay) and, literally, as the driver is walking up to the truck to drive away, he says: "I hope you can get an 18-wheeler up to your place, otherwise there's going to be more fees.." Then he speeds off AFTER consuming all of the bottled water in my house. I verified with my new apartment that, no, of course they can't bring an 18-wheeler to the property. Just another scam to get $350 (plus) out of you. I called Liberty Relocation back and told them that an 18-wheeler wouldn't fit. The representative (I think her name was Lakesha) told me that it was fine, but that there would be a fee and I needed to express that to the driver when he called me the day before delivery. I explicitly asked: will there be any late fees if I do that? She says, no. Will there be any re-delivery fees if I do that? She says no. I ask: can't you just reach out to the driver yourselves and let them know? She says I have to tell him. But this whole thing is predicated on the driver calling me.  Now on to the new drama: as I mentioned I'm relocating for a new job. I want to make a good impression and seem reliable and I want to get to work and start making money. I set my delivery date as 2 April (today). I asked for that date in every single conversation. On every single piece of paper. Every piece of correspondence that has my name and lot number on it, also has 2 April as the delivery date. So I'm sitting around the house on 1 April waiting for my phone call like a true April Fool. 1 April comes and goes. No phone call. Now here it is, April 2 and I NEED my things TODAY. Not a single person has called me and said: hey, we thought April 2 was going to work, it turns out it isn't..here's the new date so you can get on with your life. Nope. So now I'm here at the house, waiting for an 18-wheeler to show up in a place where it won't fit and the inevitable phone call of: well this is going to be extra.. Ladies and gentlemen. I'm a military veteran. I have seen the ravages of war on human bodies and human minds. I just separated from the service because I was tired of being deployed all the time and missing out on my own life. I don't have dollars for days. I just want this move to be over with so I can get on with my life. I have been all over the world and dealt with all kinds of people. Please believe me when I tell you that Liberty Relocation is the biggest suck hole I have ever encountered in my entire life. Save your time. Save your money. DO NOT USE LIBERTY RELOCATION.  .

Local move within Colorado

Disaster----DO NOT USE.

Pickup was supposed to be at 8am,. turned out to be 1:30 PM
Items marked Fragile, Very Fragile, nothing on top were handled like any other box, no regard for the labels.  I was told by the salesman that everything would be handled correctly, the men couldn't even read English
They broke 3 items in their warehouse when they transferred trucks, didn't even bother delivering them.  They packed a very expensive and very heavy mirror directly  against our orders, we asked them not to tape the mirror and of course they insisted on  taping it, and the finish was pulled off, beyond repair.
Upon  delivery we had at least twelve boxes that we crushed, no damage because clothing was in the boxes but still boxes should not crush if handled properly
Please do yourself a favor, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT A NIGHTMARE.

Long-distance move from Washington to California

Worst Moving Company.

I think -  I was not in right mind when I chose Liberty Relocation. Do not believe in what sales person says.. For getting business, sales person can trick you by offering lowest quote., They do quote less during initial negotiation, but once your stuff is in there hand, Liberty relocation comes with new amount. I wish, review site has -ve rating option. Liberty relocation is not even worth for rating 1. I would have not spend time to write review, but I do not want anyone to suffer from worst moving company so called Liberty Relocation..

Long-distance move from Colorado to Florida

They stole my ladder.

I've moved a half dozen times:  from OK to HI to CA to FL to AZ to CO to VA to FL.  We've always had a few things broken and once a box dissappeared, but I've never had a mover deny they lost (or stole) something as obvious as a 6 foot yellow ladder. The moving companies always have admitted their flaws and paid the minor fees, until I met Liberty.  Their crew took the liberty of "checking off" items themselves, so we didn't know the item was for a few days.  I contacted them 3 times in the following week asking for them to find my ladder .. but no response.  I contacted the broker who promised to have them look .. for cyring out loud, its big and it's yellow!  Of course, again, no response.  The broker said to file the insurance claim .. I did .. 2 months later they denied the claim because Liberty said I didn't report it on the day of delivery.  These people did break a few things, but I didn't bother filing a claim for the breakages because I figured they were minor, although I just had the glass replaced on a picture and it cost me $50.  Add in a few other breakages and they probably really owed me $200.  Unethical is the worst characteristic in a mover and that's what we have here.  If they'd just admitted they'd lost it .. not a problem, reimburse me.  But to behave this way??  I can't tolerate liars.

Long-distance move from Texas to Colorado

Poor Service.

I really wished I would have listened to all of the negative comments about this company and saved myself a lot of grief.  In addition to charging me an extra $500 before they would deliver my goods on the other end, they delivered one of my boxes to another address and I have been calling daily to try and get that box and get a different story from them every day as to when I might expect that.  They do not answer any of my emails regarding this delivery.  The sales person made a lot of promises to get me to book with this company and then when the movers showed up, there were a lot of discrepancies.  Now when I try to call the salesman, his number is disconnected.  I should have gone with my gut feeling and not used them. .

Long-distance move from Texas to Wyoming

Horrible.

They were terrible.  They told us they wouldn't move a piece of our furniture until we demanded it.  They damaged both the house we moved into and out of. We got a second load 6 months later and it wasn't even our stuff.  Our stuff is gone- ladders, lawn mower, pictures, and more.  Their "insurance"  is non existant as our claim has never been paid. Customer serice is horrendous.  This company is a sham.

Long-distance move from Oregon to New Hampshire

Looking for justice.

Has anybody contacted the news stations about this obviously corrupt company? If so I would love to get in on that.

They lost/stole 7 out of my 30 boxes and damaged several items of furniture. Nicole promised that they would compensate me for more than the standard compensation, because "this was the worst delivery in the history of our company." Of course after this I could not get a hold of Nicole, she was always on another call and she never called back despite the many messages I left for her.

The delivery driver tried to leave with some items of mine and left me some bed frames that were not mine. When I called him to come back he asked if he could deliver it the next time he was in the area. Who knows when that would have been. I told him no and I want it now and he was very upset that he had to turn around.

I have been fighting this for almost a year and a half. They have offered me $168 for my stuff. They lost/stole thousands of dollars worth of stuff and priceless wedding photo albums. I would rather continue to give them bad press than accept such an insulting offer. Anyone that would like to join me in shutting these corrupt individuals down please let me know.

Long-distance move from Texas to West Virginia

Crooks.

After Bobby and I agreed on a price to move my things from Texas to West Virginia, (I had paid $3200 in full upon recipt of the invoice), that is the last I had heard from him. Wait, after numerous calls and emails we writes and I quote..I do not take care of this please call customer service and gave me a number. He is the worst sales representative I have ever dealt with in my life. He LIES and is a coward and wont speak with you after they receive your money.
To start off they changed the pick up from 9 to 11 then to 2 and finally showed up at 4:45 to get my things from my 10x15 storage unit. They then had to come back the next day and get the rest of my things because of lack of space on the truck. Finally loaded and ready to go they were supposed to be in WV on the 10th but finally got there on the 14th. On the night before my delivery around 7pm est I get a phone call from Kevin saying I owe an extra 2,500 dollars for them to drop off my stuff. YES, they pulled a bait and switch. They will tell you a price and then hold your things until you pay them the extra charge for "having more than agreed"  another $3200 (cause they couldn't get the truck right to my front door) which is double for what was agreed upon. THESE PEOPLE ARE 100% CROOKS.
I have photos that show lack of care for your things, BROKEN antique chairs, clocks along with numerous other things. Also have a photo of them charging me 1300cf for my things but on the truck my stuff only came out to 1100cf. I also got a power decal stolen from me, it was probably the guy that got caught at the convenience store stealing eletronic cigs. YES, GOT CAUGHT STEALING during my move. These are the type of people that are moving your valuable things.
Do yourself a favor, Hire someone else..THEY ARE A HORRIBLE COMPANY. I asked to speak with the owners and was denied. Probably because they do not want to let the owner know what kinda people really work for them.
Get ahold of me. I will send you pics validating everything I have just said.

Long-distance move from Washington to New York

Beware.

My experience with Liberty Relocations inc. has been a total Nightmare!! So BEWARE!! This organization is comprised of con artists who are very good at what they do. I
My goods were picked up in WA and taken to NY. They were supposed to deliver my stuff on a specific date or 21 days after that dare according to contract. That was not the case, instead, my goods were thrown in storage without my consent and held hostage.
On initial pick up they hocked up the estimated value a thousand dollars. Then to add insult to injury, they held my items hostage and demanded two thousand dollars more before I could get them.
This organization have been running this hoax continuously without fail with a max percentage of customers ( victims ). If you carefully examine this review page you will notice for every review with a rating of one, there is at least 2-3 more review rating with a four or five star rating. This is because the company writes positive reviews to balance out their overall rating to a three star value.
This company is fake. They are not represented or certified by BBB. They are frauds and scammers. DO NOT use there services if you value your household items and your wallet. They will try to take all your money. They run a well rehearsed con and you will be taken advantage of.
BEWARE!
