Whatever you do don’t hire these people! The movers arrived and told us they didn’t have enough room on the truck. After we specifically told them how many items we had prior to their arrival. They then told us that they would send another truck and someone from the office would call us in an hour. We waited a few hours and no one reached out to us so we called them. We were told that the driver called the office and told them we were not ready, we had a lot more furniture than what we had told them and that we refused the overage charges! All of this was a lie! We were waiting for them all morning just to be told this! We tried explaining that none of this ever happened but we were told no one could help. We couldn’t even get our deposit back and they couldn’t get another truck out for 2 days! This was unacceptable as we were supposed to be in North Carolina that following day! Needless to say we no longer trusted them and we had to loose out on $667.00. We called U Pack and they were amazing and very accommodating! Their price was much more reasonable and they were able to send a truck the very next day! Whatever you do don’t trust these people!

Jeff and his crew did an amazing job, Not only were they on time and very professional, but they were so efficient. They moved all my possessions out of my 2nd story apartment with no elevator with ease and I had a lot of heavy stuff. They securely wrapped my furniture and took great care to not scratch the walls. At the new place they put up door and floor protectors and were very careful. Nothing was lost or broken and I was quite pleased. I just sat back and watched and they did everything. Interstate Moving & Relocation Groupfar exceeds expectations.

Interstate Moving & Relocation Group was very responsive and provided a very reasonable quote throughout the process. Both of my buildings needed COI to book elevators and that was delivered to me both times within 1 day of request. They reported for a 9 am transfer time 15 minutes early to make sure they were packed and ready to start on schedule. For a few extra boxes, they didn't overcharged and didn't asked for a single penny + they provided free wardrobe boxes.

Please be smarter than I was and run in the other direction. This is a company of scam artists, and it's likely 80% of what they told you to get your booking is a lie. I flew in for my move, and I am currently sitting in a fully packed up apartment with no movers coming. Make other plans, you'd be better off throwing away half your belongings than relying on IMRG. Ronnie Simon specifically misled me in my booking, and I'm nearly certain he deliberately made up stories to make me trust him, which unfortunately worked. I've seen many reports of him doing this to others as well. VISIT IMRG'S BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU PAGE and read their claims! Would have saved me a lot of money, tears, and stress.

Here is an overview of my experience, I'm in the process of trying to get my security deposit back and a claim with the BBB.

I booked in July for an Aug 10-12 move. Ronnie offered the most competitive rate I'd heard all day (around $1500) and said it was because they just happened to have extra space on a truck the week of my move headed in the same direction. He assured me on the phone repeatedly that as long as I had not lied about my inventory, the cost of my move was binding and would not go up. I booked a three day window (Aug 10-12), and was assured that I'd receive a call a few days before telling me when the movers would arrive. I signed the attached agreement and sent my security deposit through that day.

On this past Friday (8/7) I received a call from a "quality assurance" representative named Katherine Smith to update my inventory, after which she emailed me a new agreement to sign. I did not sign it because the inventory was incorrect. I tried to get ahold of of her via both phone and email all weekend and still have not gotten a response from her of any kind. When I spoke to her Friday, she assured me I'd receive my call with the movers arrival time Sunday afternoon at the absolute latest.

Sunday (8/9) rolls around and I've essentially packed my whole apartment in one day to make sure I was ready for movers on Monday, but I was not receiving any phone calls. Still off put by not hearing back about inventory, I started calling IMRG at 11AM Sunday and continued to call and email them throughout the day. I tried every extension of their phone number and could not get a person on the phone. I didn't panic until I called the "24 hour emergency customer service line" mentioned in the attached contract and it took me to a full voice mailbox.

This is when things get worse- I started looking more carefully at both one star online reviews and the BBB claims. Look carefully at these google reviews. Notice how all of the five star reviews are short and robotic? And all the rest of the reviews are detailed one star reports claiming this company is a scam? Yup. I can't believe I missed it on my shallow investigation before booking.

Finally someone called me on Monday afternoon (Melissa, whom I'd never heard from before). She said my movers were coming Tuesday morning (from Budget Van Lines, a company which I was not surprised to find has a 1.2 star average on google). She was unable to offer a satisfactory explanation of what had happened (or an apology for that matter), why the company had ghosted me, gave roundabout non-explanations, and effectively tried to gaslight me into thinking they'd done nothing wrong and that they were just closed on Sundays (that had gone against everything I'd been told about what to expect). She put me on hold so I could speak to a manager and ask for my security deposit back, she then picked up and said Leonora would be calling me in 5-10 minutes. I got that call the following evening, again received no apology or explanation, and was actually told that the "emergency 24 hour customer service line" had seen my number calling all day Sunday and intentionally ignored it.

I seem to have gotten off lucky with just losing my $515.68. From what I've now read, things would have gotten far worse if I'd let them put my things on a truck. Sure enough, the company they'd booked me with "Budget Van Lines" has a 1.2 star review on google, and complaints of theft, damage, hostage situations, and sexual assault on lone female clients.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! I hope my nightmare experience helps even one person considering them! Please read their BBB claims- it looks like your best case scenario is losing your security deposit and having no movers (if you catch wise in time), and the worst is having your items held hostage for upwards of 17K.
