One star is actually far too much for this worthless company. They quote one thing and when your goods are loaded on the truck, they more than double the price. Once the trucks arrived at my destination, Instamovers pulled the unloading crew off my job and sent them to another job in Charleston leaving me with one driver. It cost me $1500 to find inexperienced men to complete the unloading. They are scammers who mislead people into believing in them up front. Our move was handled by Nationwide who subs out all their moves to smaller moving companies which did not know. Our $42,000 move wound up costing over $60,000. If you should be referred to Asaf Hadad, please do not trust one word he says. It was a terrible move from beginning to end.

I could truly write pages of how horrible working with InstaMovers was. First off, we went through a moving broker which now I know what a scam that is. Upon arriving to our house, instamovers doubled the quote immediately that the broker had given us. Knowing we were been totally taken advantage of, we had no choice but to continue on with them because we had to move, so what are we supposed to do? That's their entire scheme- they wait until that last minute and know you have no other choice and are stuck with them to show you how terrible they really are. Also the man managing the move commented to my realtor about how much we sold the house for knowing they could get more money, little did they know our realtor who dropped by was my mother in law so obviously told me everything they said. We had paid for a semi truck, which they arrived with some small box truck and then said they couldn't even move us out that day because their moving truck was too small. I said that was not optional, we had to be out that day, and that it wasn't fault they didn't bring the truck we had booked. From there, getting delivery was horrible. Very rude personnel when we would call asking for updates. Then one night at like 6pm we get a call from a man saying two trucks are driving to our house with 8am arrival the next day. We scrambled to make it work since obviously we'd been waiting to move in. We have a brand new construction home which is now absolutely beat to shreds. Holes in the drywall, huge scratches and dents everywhere. I don't even know how they hit the ceilings but somehow they did. Multiple boards of our floors are completely destroyed with DEEP scratches and have to be replaced. The stairwell is an extra large stairwell which we had no issues moving items up ourselves, but the holes and gashes in the drywall from Instamovers is so horrible, we need someone professional to come fix drywall and repaint the entire stairwell. Box after box of china- all shattered. My daughter's toys and gifts from grandparents- broken. They also charged us a premium for wrapping our furniture and rugs on move out so they wouldn't get dirty, because I had them professionally cleaned (cost $600) to move into the new house ready to go, and they arrived literally black with dirt and unwrapped. It's all disgusting. I did not know any business could survive being this terrible. I'm also 8 months pregnant and they were telling us they would just drop everything into the garage and not even bring into the house where it belongs. Begrudgingly because I'm literally due in a few weeks they did so, but little did I know the negligent damage they would do to our home. I truly could have moved some of these items better myself between contractions. The manager on site at delivery said he took pictures and would start a claim but this far into the nightmare of InstaMovers I do not believe him. You better believe I will not rest until everything they broke and destroyed of ours is fixed. We have THOUSANDS of dollars in damage. We don't have a plate to eat off of thanks to them breaking all of them into tiny pieces. Our hardwood floors in the dining room need replaced. The holes in the drywall and huge scratches need professionally fixed and re-painted. We don't have a couch to sit on without getting covered in dirt (I guess it's dirt, I don't even know what it is honestly) after paying hundreds to have it cleaned the day before we moved out. We had a few items we couldn't find, and the mover himself told us that it was such a shit show in Alabama, that it'll never be found. THE MOVER HIMSELF TOLD US THAT. I know there's more damage, but haven't even found it yet because we are only partially unpacked but this has by far been the worst experience I've ever had with a company. At one point, a few of the movers in the stairwell were fighting amongst themselves and we thought they were going to fight in our house, but they went across the street and screamed at each other we never saw an actual fight break out but you cannot make this stuff up. We've moved 8 times and never ever thought a moving experience could be this terrible. It's been a very emotional experience with them doubling the quote the second they arrived to the rudeness of not giving us any heads up on delivery dates until they were literally on their way, to now opening my wedding china, plates and pretty much everything breakable being shattered especially when I would just like to be fixing up my baby's nursery and focusing on that instead.
