Long-distance move from California to Hawaii

Do NOT use

Do not use this company, they will be all nice and take your money, then you won't get your shipment, they in fact will write you a letter to come and get your household goods within 5 days. They did not return our money. Their services suck.

Long-distance move from Oklahoma City, OK to Kahului, HI

Hostage.

Michelle is the front person and handles all complaints or questions. She deflects well and is very likable! Not sure relations with owner but is committed to making things seem okay, not sure how much more she takes home with her but it must be miserable lying to people about their personal belongings. I don’t think she really knows and no one is telling her.
I asked for a picture of my things with my name on the crate and she never produced it. I’m not even sure they have my stuff.
I will soon report my belongings as stolen property to the Hawaiian authorities if I do t hear that it’s in a ship coming to me with a report date.
They have had my things since January 8, 2019 and like another person said on here, they ask for soonest date to be delivered, then tell you they have 60 days from that date. Well mine is coming up in ten days and my stuff is no closer to me.

Long-distance move from California to Hawaii

Shipping to Hawaii.

I just shipped my car from Hawaii to the port in Long Beach.
The Personnel on both ends were very nice with me helpful and fair, I had some delay and I could not bring my car on time and they did not charge me extra money for it,
when I picked up the car from the port, it was little dusty
but I was satisfy with this shipping company Hawaii moving and storage. Thank you guys.

Long-distance move from New Mexico to Hawaii

Fast shipping.

Hawaii moving and storage picked me up in New Mexico at the end of April. They arrived at my home a few hours late but was in contact with me the entire time to let me know they hit heavy traffic.
They gave me a quote for $4800.00 but I ended up only paying $4000.00 because they fit everything in the truck perfectly.
My items arrived at the end of May and everything arrived in the same condition I sent them away in.
I also shipped my car with them and the rate was by far better than any of the other companies I was in contact with.
I would use them again but I don't plan on coming back to the mainland.

Long-distance move from Honolulu, HI to Port Huron, MI

Would be zero stars if possible.

I can’t bare to repeat my story. Check out Yelp and the BBB. Items not delivered. Lie after lie after lie about where your things are. The pattern of same problem with this company taking items and holding for three to four times longer than they tell you it will take when they take your items and moneyed initially is over 2 years long! They DONT care about YOU, YOUR FAMILY OR ANY OF YOUR NEEDS. Medical or personal when it comes to delivering on their service commitment.
Never, ever again. Save yourself.

Long-distance move from Gainesville, VA to Kalaheo, HI

Move to Hawaii from Virginia.

Do not use this company!!

We moved from Virginia to Hawaii and got a quote over the phone for $6000. We ended up paying over $37,000! Yep, and we almost had a heart attack when the team lead gave us the price. We were speechless. We should have told them to take it off the truck right then at 9 pm the second night, but we didn't. I had several moments on the pack out that I wanted to change my mind, but I didn't listen to that still small voice of reason.

Let me give you the pros and cons and you decide:
Pros:
1. Packed well. Andrea and Tracie work the east coast and they know their stuff. They have some personal drama, but they can pack a truck.
2. All of our stuff arrived with hardly any damage. Only one item missing, a two wheel dolly, but Kenny gave us his after moving us in.
3. Kenny from Arizona. Nicest person we dealt with and a real professional. Loved him.
4. We did get a discount from them since they exceeded the contracted 60 day delivery date. It was 1/10th of 1/6th of our charge, so we paid $30,000 at pick up and still owed $7,000 which had to be paid in cash to the delivery mover. They took off $700. It is something.

Cons:
1. We got our quote over the phone from Paula. She only takes the orders. You will never speak to her again after your things are taken, so she does not have to be responsible for anything she tells you - make sure you use a company that sends someone out to look at your stuff and give you a quote in person!!
2. There is different pricing on everything after you sign. They charged us double for all the extra belongings we had.
3. They won't pack your items unless you pay exorbitant rates. - This is not disclosed over the phone. You are expected to have everything already packed before they arrive.
4. They don't have their own trucks or boxes. They rented U-hauls and bought boxes at retail prices. You pay extra for that!
5. They don't deliver when they say. We packed out on Sept 3 and were supposed to get our stuff on October 9. It arrived March 11.
6. Lots of disorganization and lack of communication in the office. We got promises for deliver dates for months, We called and called and they kept saying two weeks - two weeks. Not true.
7. They were Inflexible on the delivery date. I already had a plane ticket to Australia and they would not deliver a day early. Thank goodness my husband was flying 2 days later. I didn't dare ask for a later delivery date for fear that we would never receive it.
8. They are located in California and their employees fly from California to your location. You pay extra for that.
9. They took our stuff from VA to Pittsburgh and unloaded it from the truck onto the container. Then the container was sent to California to be shipped to Hawaii. Not sure how long it sat on a pier or why, but we didn't see it for 7 months. 6 months after our contracted delivery date.

It was such a headache. Find a reputable company with 5 stars from the Better Business Bureau, please. Save yourself the stress and headaches.

Long-distance move from Kailua Kona, HI to Dover, ID

Deceptive, And Lies And Retaliation.

DECEPTIVE ADVICE FROM THEIR OWN REPRESENTATIVES, NOW USING THIS FOR A LOOPHOLE BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT FINANCIALLY PERFORM.

IT'S NOW IT'S BEEN ALMOST BEEN 60 DAYS SINCE HAWAII MOVING HAS HAD OUR LIVES. WE WERE PROMISED 3-4 WEEKS, DELIVERY FROM HAWAII TO IDAHO.

AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING MAYBE END OF AUGUST (90 - DAYS).

ALL THEY CAN SAY IS "YOU SHOULD HAVE READ YOUR CONTRACT."

THEY HAVE A VERY DECEPTIVE LINE AT THE TOP OF THEIR CONTRACT THEY ASK YOU TO FILL IN .

WHEN THEY PICKED UP OUR GOODS, THEIR REPRESENTATIVE HANDED US A PIECE OF PAPER AND TOLD US TO FILL IN A DATE AT THE TOP. WE SPECIFICALLY ASKED HIM WHAT THAT DATE WAS FOR. HE SAID," THAT IS THE EARLIEST DATE WE CAN SHOW UP AND DELIVER". SO, OF COURSE, WE WROTE IN THE DATE I WOULD BE ON THE GROUND IN THAT STATE READY FOR DELIVERY. HERE' THE CATCH, THEIR CONTRACT SAYS THEY HAVE 60 -90 DAYS TO DELIVER FROM THAT DATE! IN THEIR OWN WORDS "OUR CLOCK DOESNT EVEN START TICKING UNTIL THAT DATE, YOU SHOULD HAVE READ YOUR CONTRACT"

WOW! IS THAT DECEPTIVE!

I HAD TO GET INVOLVED BECAUSE THEY UPSET MY WIFE SO BADLY SHE CAN'T EVEN TALK ABOUT IT WITHOUT CRYING.

NOW THEY ADMITTED THEY DONT HAVE A DRIVER TO DELIVER THE GOODS, SO NOW IT'S GOING TO BE ANOTHER MONTH. THEN IN ANOTHER BREATH SAY ITS OUR FAULT BECAUSE "WE PACKED IT" AND AGRICULTURE HAS TO LOOK AT IT. IT'S ALL LIES.

WE HAVE BEEN LIED TO OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND TREATED WITH DISDAIN AND TOLD TO STOP CALLING THEM BECAUSE "IT WON'T HELP".

OUR GOODS SAT IN HAWAII FOR THREE WEEKS ALONE! (THEY SAID "CUSTOMS", RATHER WAITING FOR A FULL CONTAINER).

THEN IT NOW SITS IN LA ANOTHER 4-8 WEEKS IN LA.

THEY DON'T HAVE A DRIVER TO DELIVER IT BY THEIR OWN WORDS.

WE ALSO BELIEVE THEY ARE RETALIATING BECAUSE WE HAVE POSTED COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THEM. WHEN WE CALL, ALL THEY SAY IS "MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE READ YOUR CONTRACT".

ALL WE WANT IS OUR LIVES BACK.

PS. THEY ARE NOT OUT OF HAWAII THEY USE THESE (HAWAII MOVERS) ADDRESS'S TO DRUM UP BUSINESS IN OTHER STATES EVEN USING LOCAL PHONE NUMBERS. TO US THIS IS DECEPTIVE AS WELL.

Do not use this company!!

Moved from mainland to the big island in August. 7 months later we still don't have our things. They keep telling us 2 more weeks over and over. Another couple we found locally is going through the same thing. I can't believe these people are still in business.
