The Handy Truck

Very disappointed and upset about handling of my billard table from Gilbert the delivery guy and Bill the "company director" of handy truck

I contacted Handy Truck to pickup and deliver a billard table that in perfect, unmarked condition. When contacted by Gilbert I mentioned via text I would wrap the table using my own wrapping blanket but if he can use his in top to protect further to which Gilbert agreed .

Unfortunately the table was delivered without ANY packing blanket , just the billard cover , face down and was dragged off the truck, dropped a few inches then pivoted on its side on aggregate concrete and thus causing damage to the side and top of the table... How the table can be delivered without protection is beyond me..

After numerous calls to Bill we are yet to receive any compensation for damages cause, even any aggreance that the driver was careless... The table is irreparable . Bill will not answer my calls or call me back. So please think twice about using Handy Truck .. Bill could care less about complaints or damages cause by his dodgy company. If you have an issue with your delivery it will not be handled honourably. Plenty of better options out there

This company is the worst furniture mover I've ever used. I booked them for a move on a fixed price quote. They demanded that I pay them 25% extra for doing literally 2 minutes extra work. All I asked was that they take an old bar fridge down to my garage. The work was almost done in the time it took for the boss to ring me and quote a ridiculous extra cost, which I declined. I told the guy to put the bar fridge down where we were as soon as I got off the phone after telling the boss I wasn't paying the equivalent of $900 per hour for 2 minutes extra work. Then another more senior manager rang me and ranted at me for 1 1/2 hours, insisting that I pay for the extra, even though I told the guy to stop as soon as they gave me their ridiculous extra quote. Basically, they employ two levels of managers who seem to have nothing to do other than bully their customers into paying for unfair extras. I certainly won't be using them again!!!
