This company is bad in the worst kind of way. To start off, they do an awesome job getting your business. They were very responsive and actively called me. On the calls they told me whatever I wanted to hear and agreed to everything I asked to get me under contract. Once the documents were signed, the tune changed greatly. I could not get a hold of anyone via phone or email. I needed to get confirmation as to when they were going to pick everything up. When they showed up, the moving crew refused to take 2 specific items which were highlighted in my contract as exceptions. Since I was moving across the country, I had to pack these into an already full vehicle making the trip uncomfortable. Once I arrived at my new destination, they were unable to tell me when they could bring my belongings. Once they gave me a "timeline," it was not delivered within the timeline. Finally, on the day of delivery, they should up with an overpacked new truck with many damages and missing items. They left the home dirty and did not take packing material. When it came to filing the claim, they made the process so difficult and technical friendly, it would be beyond frustrating for most. I believe this to be with malicious intent to deter individuals. In reading other reviews, you can see a simple result. Best American Movers uses MovingClaims.Net to process claims. They only give you 10MB to upload pictures, which means, if they damage a lot of things, you will not be able to submit all of them. I created a link to a shared folder to resolve their issue and this was not good enough for them because it could be spam. I then compressed them and sent via email in a zip file, they said they can't open it because it could be spam. Because sending 1 email with all the pictures would create a link (which they would call spam), I sent them a separate email for each image, they said their email software didn't accept multiple emails that looked similar because it was categorized as spam. I then sent only a couple of emails with the max allowable number of images without creating a link, they said they could only use 1 email. Start to finish, I cannot believe this company continues to be in business. I hope this finds many viewers, so you can avoid what I endured over several months. One thing is very very clear, if you choose to not heed my advice, you should 1000% pay for extra insurance coverage because your valuables will go missing and others will arrive damaged.

They may be good for moving and not anything else, but there is no way I will ever use them again and would recommend that you pack for yourself if you feel the need to use them. I paid the extra for the "white" glove service. Which was supposed to include wrapping, packing, moving, and furniture setup. What I got was boxing, not wrapping and packing. The boxes were not marked and I had no idea what I would find when I opened a box. And even if I was ok with that, I was not ok with my electronics just thrown in a box. Nor was I ok, with my work desk being taken apart and not put back together or a bookcase place on top of a file cabinet in my new home. I attempted to contact the company and file a complaint and what I got was "So what do you want us to do, I am on a call with a customer." They were great up until the day of the move.

I began my journey of moving from Atlanta to Charlotte in March. I was so nervous as this was a BIG move for me..I'd acquired a house full of furniture and personal items that meant so much to me, I just had to find the right movers.

After contacting MANY companies, I came across Gordon from GroveStars Moving (Jacksonville, FL branch). He calmed my fears, reassured me everything would be okay and even made me laugh a few times.

As we got closer to moving day, May 31st, Gordon and I went over my inventory and he let me know what to expect. On that Thursday, May 31st at 9:25am, Kirk (from the Charlotte, NC branch) texted me that they were on their way from Charlotte to my home outside of Atlanta.

Kirk, Travis and Ivan arrived at noon and went STRAIGHT to work! These guys came in and did a walk through of my home so as to understand what was moving and what wasn't. Kirk is VERY smart and professional! He was able to visualize and direct and pack the truck so as to not leave a single space! I told him it was like Tetris! LOL I was nervous that all my things weren't going to fit, but these guys did their thing!!

Around 8pm they were all finished..a few things didn't make the truck, but nothing that I can't replace. They had my lawnmower suspended from the truck's roof and even had to tie their moving equipment to the back as my things had taken up ALL the space. ;-) They left, headed up to Charlotte, stored my truck under lock and key and met me at my new home the very next morning at 9am.

Upon arrival they immediately began to work. Kirk, Travis and Ivan asked where I wanted each piece of furniture, each box and each tote. Eventually they knew where certain things went because my kids names were on the boxes. :-)

They stayed until EACH item was where I wanted! Each TV was placed in position and setup for me. All the furniture that had to be dismantled was put back together without a problem. Not a SINGLE item was broken..that says a lot because I've heard of things being destroyed during a move. These men came and took care of me as if I were family, and to that I am forever grateful!

I highly recommend GroveStars Moving for ALL your moving needs!

Had a great experience with these guys! My move turned up to be stress-free and professionally done. All my furniture was packed as it was factory wrapped. Great management and customers service. I have used their onsite estimate service and my final bill had no surprises. I was explained from the very beginning that my furniture needed to be packed to secure it. I was notified about packing prices and cost for extra material. (Need to mention, that they use professional high quality packing supplies). As we were moving from state to state, I was worried about a lot of things, but they have a great customers service and all my questions were answered in a proper way. Recommend to everybody!
