Great Nation Moving

Great Nation was straightforward and can-do. The initial phone contact was positive, informative, and resulted in a nice clean-cut young man making the estimate on-site (not by phone), a reasonable cost estimate, and the pickup truck came on the day scheduled (two-day window). The movers were careful, packed our stuff carefully, polite, and fast given the level of care they were taking. The dropoff came on the day promised, the workers were again, very polite, very careful. They didn't break anything. They didn't lose or steal anything! They were likeable. In the process the office help was on the spot keeping things clear, organized, and moving. I would use Great Nation again without hesitation. Oh . . . they put together the beds and the dining and kitchen tables. Important touch.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $9453

I was given a hard quote for a move that required storage. I engaged Great Nation for that quoted price. I paid the balance due in full at move out. I scheduled my move in for a date and was told that I would get a call the day before. No one called. I called them to get the time for my move in the next day and was told it was scheduled for the following day, not the day I scheduled them. A half hour later I was sent an invoice for $700 additional in expenses for moving out of storage. I immediately called and was told it was for additional weight. That is not what the invoice stated. So, my life is being held ransom by this mob styled moving company. If I don’t pay their up charge they won’t deliver my belongings.

Now the salesman and CEO won’t return my phone call. I can only get their young woman who works in customer service, who cannot do anything for me to fix this.

Do not make the mistake I made.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $7528

I moved within MD, but downsized greatly. Scott, the main logistics staff member, did an amazing job coordinating everything. The movers were quick, responsive, and adapted well to the unforeseen circumstances during my move-in day into the city. Nothing was broken and any delicate items (eg. glass tanks, mirrors) were appropriately boxed and wrapped. I can’t thank this company enough for making this move stress-free. Will definitely be reaching out again once my lease ends!

There are a lot of moving companies. You need one you can trust. You can do a lot of research and soon many, many moving companies are reaching out, seeking your business. We contacted many movers and needed a fairly tight packing and move out date. We received excellent, engaged support from Great Nation. They showed up on time, had ample crew and space for our stuff, they packed carefully and everything arrived intact. There were antiques and heavy elements and they did a great job on both ends of the move even in very cold conditions on the receiving end. Communication throughout the process was smooth with the ability to get answers to questions in a timely manner. Moving is never fun, but when you have a trusted partner who does a great job with your stuff it can be a lot less stressful. Thank you Great Nation!

We had a great experience with them. They were extremely communicative and made the whole process easy. David was in touch throughout the entire process. We had an EXTREMELY heavy and awkward to lift Murphy bed that had to come up a set of stairs and into a room that had a tight angle due to the hallway. I honestly didn’t think it would be possible to get it up a flight of stairs but they managed to do it! I couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone out there in need of movers!

David is unbeatable! Having someone move your mother from one state to another can be very stressful. He removed all of the anxiety from the situation, with his A+++ communication. He was punctual, organized, fast and delivered on time. Beyond that, NO ONE is beating this guys prices. He was $400 cheaper than the next cheapest, and I'm pretty sure they were going to try to up-charge me later. He came with a fixed price and delivered on all of his promises. He even built my moms bed. This guys going places, figuratively and literally hahaha...seriously tho, thank you !!!! Book this guy, you will not be disappointed!!!!
