Brave Movers!!!!

I'm really happy with my initial encounter with Golan's Moving & Storage. The crew arrived on schedule and got to work packing. Within few hours, they had everything packed and delivered that same day. The prompt service was excellent!

Zero Stars If I Could

I would not recommend Golan's. They gave us an estimate, which they said they would revise prior to the move and after we disposed of some items, and it came in 20% lower. Then they started packing, told us "optional" fees were no longer optional, and gave us the final bill - once they had our items loaded on their truck - and it was 40% higher than the original "higher" estimate. 40% higher! Argumentative customer service. Told us they would arrive at a specific time and showed up six hours later. Got to the other end and they only had two guys to unload, so it took two days. Opened a lot of large boxes to find them filled with paper and one small item, and of course we had paid for the packing material. We had used them twice previously and were pleased with them both times, which is why we engaged with them this time. Never again.

I have used Golans' 7 times for my moves and have never been disappointed. They are efficient, courteous, professional and take great care in packing my most precious possessions. I would not hesitate to refer and use their services again. I have referred them to clients and have heard nothing but rave reviews. I plan on moving again and have already contacted Richard for an estimate..and they have consistently come in under budget.

Local move within Chicago

We moved from a 2 bedroom high-rise apartment to another high rise apartment. We are in our 70's and used Golan to pack for us as well as move us. We did a virtual tour of our apartment so I felt confident that they had a good idea of what we would need for packing. Another company had me guessing how many boxes etc I would need. The workers showed up on time, worked all day to get us packed and came back the next day for the move. They marked all boxes and placed boxes in the appropriate room at the new apartment on move day. Nothing was broken, all pieces were together. It was just a great experience. I highly recommend Golan.

Local Move

Moved my father from a condo to a senior living community in the same town. Martin and his crew were fantastic. They arrived on time and were friendly and efficient. We had done all the packing of clothing and small items while Martin and his team focused on the furniture items. They wrapped each furniture piece and carefully took it to their truck. Upon arrival at the destination, they worked with staff at the senior community to move all items to my Dad's new place. The unwrapped and placed all furniture where we asked them to place it. It was stressful moving our 92 year old Dad but Golan's movers helped to make it easier.

I can’t recommend them enough!

I hired Golan's Moving & Storage to move my elderly parents into their retirement home, and the crew was so patient, kind, and respectful. They packed everything meticulously, taking extra care with my parents’ favorite recliners, family photo albums, and medical equipment. Absolutely THE BEST!!!

These movers did so much more than just pack and move my stuff! They helped me rearrange the furniture in my new place to make the most of the space. They offered to take down and hang up a heavy mirror, even though it wasn't originally part of the price. The leader of the crew was fantastic, and he kept checking in on me to make sure I was happy and didn't need anything.

Whole process so easy!

The customer service was attentive. They called me after the move to ensure everything was satisfactory. They provided a checklist for me to inspect the condition of my belongings. When I pointed out a small scratch on a table, they offered to send a furniture specialist to fix it at no extra cost. They also followed up with an email containing tips for settling into the new home.
