They are good in the beginning, answering calls, quick to give a quote, and even arrive on time to load. That is where it all ends.

Delivery was a nightmare, arriving after 23h00 at night. We had to make numerous calls to enquire where they are. One box went missing, and they deny that it was ever on the inventory (despite having proof that it was).He also refuse to deal with damaged furniture, which was immediately reported (we have proof of this) when they offloaded. He now claims it was reported weeks later

He also likes putting the phone down in your ear and refuse to acknowledge damages and losses.

It is my view that this is a one man show, without any insurance to cover damage and losses. Very rude service once you start asking questions about the loss and damage. It was a very bad experience.

Gauteng Removers and Storage is the WORST company to use for your Move. We were quoted and invoiced that our furniture will be loaded and offloaded within 24 hours. We only received our furniture 6 days later. The supervisor David, is arrogant and does not provide feedback. He does not answer your calls, and NEVER phones back. When he does answer, he puts the phone down in your ear. This was the worst travel experience ever. Our furniture was scratched, torn and chipped. Our boxes was also handled badly and some of our belonging damaged. We have requested numerous times to get the owner's number but both David and the office lady Yolandah refused to give it to us! PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!

I see I share my testaments about this company's service with a few other dissatisfied customers...

They are great in the beginning, but once you have paid, service goes downhill. And once they have loaded your belongings, they hold them as ransom until you make final payment BEFORE they even unlock the truck for drop off.

They promised us that for the rate we paid, it was a single load trip and that they don't share loads. When the truck arrived, it was already half full of someone else's stuff. We had to wait an additional 24 hours to receive our stuff at the new location because they had to overnight somewhere else while dropping off the other people's goods.

There were a few items missing and a damaged antique chair when we unpacked which the company refuses to acknowledge. I specifically asked them about their insurance before booking them, and they readily told me that all was covered for loss or damage - but as soon as we told them about the lost and damaged goods, they put their hands up and refused to take responsibility. We now sit with around R8,000.00 in loss and damage.

I would definitely not recommend using this company.
