Entrusted Van Lines LLC

This whole process has been such a nightmare. I didn't realize they would be hiring another company (Global movers or Global moving something like that).. this enabled them to never take blame for anything.. and I couldn't get in touch with global movers so nothing got solved.

I was oringally quoted 2800$ for a studio apartment. I had no furniture other than my bed and about 20 medium sized boxes. this was a very small move. they told me a 900 mile move would take anywhere from 3- 10 days, with 10 days being the MAX. I was told this numerous times on the phone by the sales rep.

the movers that showed up were fast and everything was fine. when I paid I asked again how long it would take, they said 21 days max. WTF?

I moved into my new place and was sleeping on the floor waiting for my bed, 10 days come and go, 21 days come and go. I call entrusted van lines says "oh, it's 21 business days" WTF AGAIN? this is over a month!!!

so I have to go out and buy a temporary bed as I am not doing well on the floor. I am in a weird limbo in my new place not having my belongings as I could take very very little with me in my car.

I get an email from global moving saying the delivery driver is getting close and has the remaining balance. It is about 75$ more than what entrusted van lines told me the remaining balance is. I contact entrusted and ask what this is about. they say they will get back to me and of course they never do despite numerous phone calls and emails.

a guy finally contacts me saying he is getting close to idaho and says he will be there the next day around noon. FIne. I rearrange work to be there as they charge $150 an hour to wait for you. that evening he texts saying he is stuck in nevada, it will be 5pm. Fine , I reearramge everything again. the next morning I get a text saying he won't be coming at all.

I wait, he finally says yes to the next day at 11am . finally I realize that he is coming alone!!! I am on the 3rd floor and even though i don't have many items this seems totally crazy, dangerous and unprofessional to send one person.

i am on the 3rd floor yet he charged me for 4 flights of stairs because he said they exceeded the max number of steps.. WTF? so it's another $300 for the stairs. I just pay the disputed amount to be done with this mess.

the next day I realize there is a box missing. I had just purchased a 20# box of fresh california pistashios, it was over $200. I didn't pack it because it was already well packaged and taped up. but it did clearly state what the contents were. it was clearly stolen by the movers.

I contacted entrusted vanlines today to report this. they asked if I wanted to file a claim.. file a claim?? they havne't responded to any of the other issues why would I even waste my time. they are not going to give me my stuff back nor are they going to refund me. I said I was going to leave a negative review and that was the only time they ever seemed to react. they of course didn't want me to and said I should reach out to support.

People told me not to go through a brokerage company for your move, didnt listen, now i am paying the price.

My initial estimate was for 955 cft.

Quality assurance calls a week before actual move to go through the final inventory. Representative - Jordan, very unprofessional, rude, dosen't care for the client. Later a customer service representative explained why Jordan did what he did, as he has a tough job, many calls to make and dont have time to go into detail with each client = screw the client. I had to make some adjustments to the inventory, Jordon said, if the total cft. is lower after adjustment compared to the initial estimate, price will remain the same? Not, what i was told by the sales representative (so the first discrepancy). Dropped some of the stuff (cft. was not adjusted) added more (cft. was added) in summary he didnt adjust, just added more cft. (they dont share the cft. by item so you cant trace, second discrepancy). My estimate. went up by. 220. cft., now at 1155 cft. and. guess what the price increased by $2050 (after some discounts) Only the binding estimate fee increased by $2700. In summary for an addition of 200 cft (which i am still questioning) I have to pay an additional amount that is almost 50% of 955 cft. does this make any logical sense? I have been trying to do the maths the whole day but couldnt explain this to myself and neither the customer service representative was able to explain,, so no one knows why Jordan did this. As explained. by the customer service representative, the binding fee is to ensure the mover has space for the total cft. and they had to turn the world upside down to make sure this is taken care of, and this was done while I was on the phone with the QA guy and it it took him less then 5mins to find me that truck that could adjust the additional 200 cft.

The story dosent ends here, i have to now deal with the actual movers as well, making sure they dont charge me extra cft. for unproperly filling the truck. God knows what lies ahead.
