Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Kissimmee, FL

Moving

My experience was very good with this company I spoke with Jennifer and she kept me up to date with my moving the price was great .I gave them my list and my contract was exactly what they said it would be .the movers did a great job packed all my stuff and put my kids beds together when they arrived in florida.i have no negative comments ? if you are honest with what you are actually moving then you should have no problem. I guess people try to get over on movers as well and say they have less things .they will def know if your over what you claim to have so just be honest with your movers and they will be as well ..thank you e coast movers I will def recommend your company

Local move from Kew Gardens, NY to Highland Mills, NY

Deceitful business practice.

Unlike the reviews listed here, I had a very different experience. The original price was quoted as $1787 to move a one bedroom apartment from Queens, NY to the Hudson Valley, about two hours away (because of traffic). After the truck was packed, the foreman notified me that the space the furniture would take up was twice what was expected and charged me double the original quote! I had to pay $1000 cash for them before they left Queens, and another $2126 once they unloaded my furniture. I don't blame the crew, I blame the company for a very unfair business practice. I see the other prices charged for a short move of one bedroom, and I see that they are close to what I was quoted. I bet no one can imagine having their furniture held hostage unless double the quoted amount is paid. It is unconscionable and I am still trying to get some money refunded based on this deceitful, dishonest business practice.
In addition, the crew broke a window in my house and now I will have to pay $200 to fix the window. I am beyond disgusted.

Long-distance move from Bridgewater, NJ to Myrtle Beach, SC

Excellent service.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND- We moved on August 3rd, we moved Bridgewater NJ, to myrtle beach SC with ECM/ east coast moving provided packaging of our kitchen items, various decorative pieces, paintings and furniture, as well as furniture disassembly and assembly.
I paid exactly what was on my quote (plus tips for the moving crew). The moving crew of Zafa, Victor and Alex gentleman were polite, hardworking and tireless. Everything arrived great condition and they placed the furniture in our new house where we requested them to, and reassembled it all and even took out the garbage. It took them until 10PM to get it all done - great job! Great overall service. Stacy was quick to respond and always answered the phone. The guys that came were quick, efficient, and hard working. Paying a flat fee and knowing what you are getting was well worth the piece of mind compared to the bait and switch companies. Will refer you to all my friends and family thank you East Coast

Long-distance move from Bristol, CT to East Orange, NJ

Scams You before Unloading.

I hired East Coast Movers to move part of my home from CT to NJ. I was quoted around $1600 to move the items. The day of the move I decided not to take all the items I listed on the inventory online questionnaire (such as a bookshelf, trunk, etc.). The movers arrived on time, and were polite. Things seemed ok until the mover said we had double the amount of items and raised the price over $1000 to a total of $2900!! For about an hour at my delivery site we went over the number of items. He said there was 96 pieces. We counted from his taken inventory list. The max amount 55 pieces total (including boxes). He was clearly lying about the number of pieces taken and the cubic feet. Then they pretended to give me a “discount” by charging $200 less, which is still almost $800 above the quoted price..in cash of course. The only reason I gave up on the issue is because my infant that I had in my arms the whole time was hot and exhausted by this. I would never recommend this company because they are SCAMMERS! They will quote a lower price and then raise it once all of your items are already packed. Then pretend to make an adjustment. Let me repeat that I decided NOT to take all of the items listed. There was no way my pieces or cubic ft was nearly double the amount. And that was proven once we went over the inventory. There was no apology for this. I feel badly for the customers that fooled who didn’t realize it. I found them on thumbtack. Do not trust them with your belongings. Choose anyone else! They are dishonest scammers!

Love the organization.

They are steps ahead of themselves sometimes. Next few steps are planned ahead. Pack boxes in this area. Color code them based on the part of the room and room the boxes are in. Move to this part of the truck. They even seemed to layout which boxes goes on a certain part of the truck. Very well organized. They got us to Lexington, Kentucky with no issue despite traffic and some detours but that's about it. They did a full service job. No conflict. Even helped a bit extra too.

Long-distance move from Massachusetts to Florida

Fast/honest/delivery 2 Days - Happy.

ECM were great movers.
With all the horror stories I read I was a little taken back and didn’t know who to trust. Great service. Best priced move! I'm moving for my job as they needed me to relocate. I did look around and compared around different quotes, some had discounts for first time customers. This one offered a decent quote. We got the visual inspector to check out everything. Since it's a 1 bedroom apartment move I didn't think it wouldn't be too much Springfield, Massachusetts to Plantation, Florida and the process was easy and simple. After everything was done, I compared the final quote that we got and I think it's nice that it somehow didn't change and that's a plus. The movers are nice and they weren't fooling around or mess anything up. A great move!

Horrible!! do Not Use!!

Showed up 2.5 hours late to my apartment. Prior to scheduling the move I informed them that I need to reserve an elevator. I booked 1-4 pm to be on the safe side. It is now 4:44pm and they are not here! I called the driver and he said he was never informed! He also told me he stopped for lunch and that his ETA is 1 hour!! Also they are now charging me over $300 more from their original quote! DO NOT USE!! I wish I could give them 0 stars!!

Please contact the office melody to discuss the delay in the move. We did not charge by time and it was in fact guaranteed pick up and delivery same day, However your move was not a straight delivery.

Be Aware.

Be Aware of this Company, they are true scammers. A salesman came to my apartment to give me an estimate,I showed him where the truck must park ,where the elevator was located and everything I was moving , he also told me that his men would have special crates to pack my TV's , glass table and pictures. They came with nothing but blankets and tape. They used all my supplies, cardboard wardrobe's, bubble wrap Etc.He gave me an estimate of 3500.00 after they had all my furniture and boxes on their rented truck they presented me with a bill for 6387.00 , which I had no choice but to pay. I should have been suspicious when they would not take a credit card after they picked up my furniture they wanted cash or a check. When I questioned the difference in the price I was told that the salesman made a mistake , which I did not believe. Please watch this company because they are true scammers.

Moving.

This is the worst company. You are hiring them at your own risk. They draw you in with a low cost for moving and hit you with the real cost when your items are all loaded up. They broke my 2 TV, scratched the furniture. I had a lot of missing items.
Do yourself a favor. You don’t need the headache!

Long-distance move from Salem, NJ to Leesburg, FL

Worst experience ever!!

Quote amount tripled to almost $5000 on the day of move when my belongings were almost all loaded on the truck. Delivery was in 2 trucks, not one and three days apart. Still missing many of my things including a picture of my sister, my niece and myself holding my Mother' s hand the day before she died and a Sylvania TV among other things. Very shoddy operation. A week after final delivery, Irene still did not have the final paperwork from the driver. They can't seem to locate my missing items. I would NEVER recommend this outfit! I would give it no stars if I could!

You will be sorry if you use them.

Horrible The definition a a shady company. .Booked a move from NY to Florida .Price almost doubled when they came to move us out of our apartment and storage area (garage at complex.) . I have to take some blame in this as the quote was done over the phone but still was extreme.
Had to be out in the next 24 hours so did not have much of a choice.. Then at the end of the day somehow they lost the receipt that listed everything loaded on the truck but the office would get me a copy when they .find it (Never happened). So now comes the real great part, what they don not tell you is that .your property is driven to a warehouse and other company's bid on delivering to your house..So I get a phone call from what I assumed was East Coast (but is not) saying they need to be paid the remainder of the fee before they will unload the truck. when they show up that is when I meet them for the first time and find out they are a outsourced company. 2 guys that just drove from Texas (how the hell did my stuff end up in Texas?) They also told me the partner had called in sick so it was just the 2 of them and they tried just dumping off everything in the Garage. Told them I paid to be moved into my house not my garage and they did it but not happy about it. Needles to say after unpacking items were not just damaged but also lots missing. Called to complain but guess what without having that bill of laden showing what was loaded on the truck , hard to prove what was missing. When I called to complain about the 2 people that showed up to do the delivery they could care less
Do not use them for your move , they are horrible and you will be sorry .

Long-distance move from Manhasset, NY to East Providence, RI

Astounding Service- Felt Vip.

NYC- to Providence RI with a stop in BOSTON

I had a local but significant move, with two pickups and 2 delivery of large and small furniture as well as boxes, lamps, shelves, bedding, etc., all within NYC. The East Coast team - Zack S, Mitchell l and Danny l were all totally competent, thorough, informative, courteous, careful and extremely professional. They came early, totally prepared with more tools, equipment and supplies than the job actually required, and knew exactly the best way to package every item. They also cleaned up completely after each stop. I would request them all again in a heartbeat, and will recommend them as highly as I can to anyone who asks.

we can't wait to move to Florida next year and its so worry-some knowing I have a mover already planned- that is fair costed- not going to tell me want I and to hear and really treats my belongings as if were his own and you can tell by the way they work. There WERE NO MONEY OR NEGOTIATION GAMES- (had a previous moving nightmare years ago)

EAST COAST has earned my respect as well as my dedication, to the point where I have no interest or need to investigate any alternative movers again! (Thank you for that!) And Zack as the team Foreman, excels at everything he does - including his courtesy, professionalism and respect in dealing with his own team as well as his customers. He is an absolute pleasure to work with. The company's "CAN DO" attitude shows throughout the work these men performed. In addition, Hector, in Sales, was extremely helpful, as was IRENE WAS AMAZING FROM LOGISTICS AND COMMUNICATION ASPECT. in Customer Success, especially in providing the COI as needed.

I recommend East Coast Moving unconditionally to anyone requiring such services.

Long-distance move from Stony Brook, NY to Charlotte, NC

Standard crooked/lazy movers.

I used them for a move down south. They gave me a set price move because they came out to my house and checked everything out. While it was a little more than other companies I did not want surprises on move day. They also said I would have my truck, my items would not be removed from the truck and it would be there no more than 3 business days from the pick up date.

On packing and pick up date the guy in charge comes to me and tells me I have to go buy his guys coffee. He also tells me I have to tip them. This is insanely unprofessional. I was planning on tipping but to have the guy come up and aggressively say, hey you have to give the guys something.

Once all my stuff was in the trucks, he tells me I have 2 full trucks, 4400 cubit feet of items. My quote was for 3000 and that I have to pay the extra 1400. I tell him no, I have flat rate , which he tells me he does not care, its an extra 8k more. I call the manager and he tells him he is wrong its flat rate. Now this is where things go horrible wrong.

3 days after pickup 2 trucks show up at my new house, at least one of the trucks is not the same truck that picked up my stuff. One of the truck is full, the other has maybe 1/4 truck of my stuff. So where is the other 3/4's of my stuff. I call the manager, she tells me that I did not have 2 full trucks, maybe 1 and a half. That they did not pack well. So the on site manager lied to me, and tried to get an extra 8k out of me. I told this to the manager and she did not seem to care much.

So now I have maybe 3/4 of my stuff, the rest of my items are in their warehouse 700 miles away. The guys unload the trucks, I was told all boxes would be put where they are supposed to go, and all items they took apart would be put back together. Well the guys filled the garage, put stuff in the entrances and tell me they are done. Nothing is in rooms, nothing is together. I called again to complain, the guys sat in the truck for a few hours, finally came back in and put boxes in rooms. They said they forgot their tools so would not put anything together. I told him I have mine but he refused to put things together.

A week later the rest of my stuff got here, I had to put together all my stuff because I was not having my kids sleeping on the floor.

Damaged walls, tracked bedframes, broken tv, missing glasses, broken picture frames. These guys are one of the reasons the moving business has the rep it does.

Long-distance move from New York, NY to Raleigh, NC

Mis-accuracy of cost and fees.

I'm moving long-distance to NC from NY. The cost quickly added up and there were a lot of hidden fees. Space filled up quickly and the accuracy of my belongings to space storage was way off. I had to leave behind a few items just to not go over budget, speaking of budget.. I was quoted an estimate of around $1600, it came to be a total of $3100 by the time they were done. I feel bamboozled. The only reason why I'm giving it 2 stars is because of the workers.

They stole my depoy

They gave me an estimate of 2,528 and when they got to my two-bedroom apartment they told me it's 5000 because things were a bit bigger and it would take up more space in the truck. And I requested the same service from another company and it came out in less than 2500 and they did not return the deposit of $ 200 apart from that mr they spoke badly in the office, terrible service

F....,king Nightmare and scam of a company

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness

Never ever use this moving company. it was such a scam. What a nightmare... the most unprofessional organization I've ever used. I will be following up with BBB. Quoted me in Oct for the exact contents, in a signed quote, on text and guaranteed me a deliver date. Never followed up on the move until I called them the day before and was told they could not deliver on the date that was marked on the contract. I basically had no option but to continue to use them, even through we had a signed agreement . They pulled up to the house 2 hours late , come into the house with no mask, looked at the contents and then wanted to double the price. The driver claimed, that the contents, that were listed on the contract would not fit in the CUBIC feet space that was contracted....they were the ones that told me the contents would fit in the space before i signed the agreement. They are supposed to be the experts. The driver wanted to double the price and that is all he cared about. I asked him if I could call his supervisor, who I had been speaking with to insure my move was being scheduled. We reviewed again, on the phone, which completed matched what was on the agreement and what i was moving. I handed the driver the phone. He spoke to the supervisor, and handed me the phone. The Supervisor, Irene, then told me she would call me right back. ...she never called back. The driver said" are you willing to pay the price, and I said no as "I'm waiting to hear back from your supervisor" . He started to walk out of the door, and I said.. " where are you going ..I'm waiting on a phone call back".. the driver said "that's the price and if you are not willing to pay it, we are leaving" . I called back the supervisor and said "your drivers are now leaving".. she could care less. She said if you are not willing to pay more for more storage on the truck .. and before she finished I hung up. it's a complete scam.. from start to finish. She also tried to blame the sales person who first gave me the quote..
