City Expess Movers

From the moment the City Express Movers walked through the door until the very end of the move, it was nothing, but a headache. To start, the movers arrived a 1/2 hour early and charged us for it, they had a condescending tone the entire time and kept reminding us to tip them well with a smirk on their faces.    Keep in mind that I called in advance to make sure these movers were experienced in moving Tempurpedic bed frames and they said that they were. By the end of the move, my old apartment's walls were scratched to its entirety, all the the rods in the banister were knocked out, and paint was stripped off the walls. The movers repeated that it wasn't a big deal and that the landlord won't mind, but said that they would come back to fix the damage if it was a problem.    I just called them to have them fix the damage and they declined and said I should have called sooner.. I moved 4 days ago!    In addition to that, they had 1 of the movers get in our car to take him to our new apartment without our permission. He didn't speak English so we had a quiet and awkward ride over to the new apartment.    NEVER EVER USE THESE MOVERS. They are rude, careless, and a sorry excuse for a moving company. .

Moving stinks, but City Express Moving helped to make it less stressful. We moved out of our apartment to renovate - stored everything - and moved back in. Our City Express representative, Michael, set us up with some boxes prior to the move to pack personal belongings - and when I wanted more they were delivered the next day. He always responded promptly via e-mail. They gave us reasonably-priced storage for two months with the third month free. They broke down our kid's bed and then put it back together again, etc. Everything went smoothly and that's worth the price we paid. I do have to report that some minor damage occurred - seven wine glasses broke. I have to be honest - I was expecting worse. The last time we tried to save money moving into our apartment with another company (doubt they are in business anymore) they royally screwed up and made a true nightmare out of the move. City Express Moving did right by us. I'd use them again, no question - broken glasses or no.

Reliable and Reasonable I needed to move fairly quickly within Brooklyn in a week's notice. I happened to find City Express Moving on the Internet and gave them a call. They asked me for a list of all the items I was moving and then gave me a price, which I found quite reasonable. The crew arrived on the day and time promised to me by City Express Moving. They worked efficiently and moved everything from my old apartment to my new apartment and assembled everything as well. I was quite pleased with their hard work and would recommend them to anyone looking for a mover.

I recently used City Express Moving when I moved from a large one bedroom in Manhattan out to Astoria. I was immediately impressed by owner Lenny who came out to my place at 6:15am to check out my stuff and give me an estimate. Their rates were comparable to other movers. The day of my move, the service I received was awesome. All the movers were friendly and professional. They worked fast and were incredibly careful with all my belongings. Robert and the other guys were fantastic and made my move so easy. Lenny even called during the move to make sure everything was going well. Not only was the total cost considerable below the estimate, they actually called to adjust the cost because they forgot to take off the "life saver" discount (for educators). I strongly recommend City Express and would call them again if I move, incredibly well-run business.
