Excellent service

The two guys that did my move were excellent to say the least, they worked efficiently. I was amazed by the care they took with my furniture/household items, they did it all in a timely manner and pricing was reasonable. I would choose these guys again for my next move, praise to HP MOVERS LTD.

Very efficient and helpful!

The movers did a quick job, were very helpful and trustworthy! They came at the right time and took all the furniture to the correct floors. Also helped taking a bed to a 3rd floor via balcony. Would highly recommend

Great experience

Very easy, reasonably priced, turned up when they said they would. I definitely recommend them. The guys made moving much easier, took a load off of us. Would use again if we ever move in the future.

Don't EVER use CBD removals

Booked with CBD more than 3 weeks before my move. My move was scheduled for time slot 7am - 10am. I called then at 9h30 and Stacy said they can't reach the drivers. I called back in 30 mins and she said they can't help me. They could at least call to to tell me that they can't move me on the day. Extremely bad service. Dont ever use them. Not reliable at all

Extraordinarily late, unapologetic and unhelpful.

I was told the movers would turn up between 10 - 2pm but they didn't arrive til 5.30. At no stage was I updated, I had to continually ring and find out what on earth was going on. I was only offered a discount when I complained and it was an insulting $10 an hour - for a job that took an hour and a half. The call out fee should have been taken off the bill. Then, because I hit the roof, I was threatened by the manager who said he was considering pulling the job at 5pm. Just an awful experience all round, apart from the two movers themselves who were fine.

Worst ever - unprofessional and shouldn't be allowed to trade

Booked movers, paid deposit, confirmed arrival on the morning and still didn't arrive for the move. We waited from 10 to 12, then they Said 12 to 2, and then when we didn't answer their calls because we were busy moving boxes in our cars, they canceled our truck - worst experience ever. They shouldn't be allowed to trade, such bad service and their attitude stink, well move you tomorrow,. NO SORRY WE TOOK LEAVE TODAY, you would think they don't need business, this was not acceptable at all. Luckily there are good companies out there that could help us and was interested in doing business. Would never recommend CBD to any one. -10 out of 10.

Great Service

Find a different movers

I used their services 4 years ago and it was ok. But now, not so much. Here's a few issues:

1. The movers were rushing the job and kept asking if that is everything. Every time we gave him an item, he will ask is that everything. Don't rush us man, moving is a very stressful time already!

2. Because they were in a rush, a few heavy items were left at the property!

3. They didn't even bring any of the beds upstairs in the bedroom and left everything in the lounge. I had to ask them to move the fridge and freezer to the kitchen but everything else was left in the lounge.

4. The guy asked me very rudely how I'll pay. I said EFTPOS because that was the agreement over the phone. He said I didn't bring the EFTPOS machine so I need to find another way. Again, moving is a very stressful day. You guys are not helping!

5. He wanted cash, I didn't have cash so I offered to bank transfer the funds. At this point, I was on an important call so I put the call on loud speaker so I can open my mobile banking app. The guy grabbed my phone (while I was on a call with someone) and he said he will enter the bank account number. What kind of behaviour is that? You don't grab other people's phone man.

6. At this point, I just wanted them off the property so when the transfer is done. They left to go to another job because they have to go to another job.

I am paying by the hour and I booked your service a month in advance. It's not my fault you double booked our move with another. It's not our fault you didn't bring an eftpos machine. Again, moving day is stressful I hired you guys to make it easier for us, buy we ended up moving most of our stuff to your truck and we now have to move them to each individual room. You are advertising a $190/hour 2 man and a truck moving services, but it's really just a pick up and drop off services.

I should have hired a trailer instead and saved me some money.

Do not recommend

Had to give them my drinks cos they didn't even bring water. Red flag number 1. Broke the handle on my drawer. Had a lift on their truck, putting only one item at a time on it, weighing from 10kg to 60kg. Carrying light things 1 at a time (time wasting tactics) They kept asking is that everything. We were shocked, everything here, needs to be moved. The driver struggled with parking and reversing, like it was our fault he struggled to get out of the driveway. Took sooo long to drive to our new place. They could barely lift anything. My partner had to help and he had a broken finger, and still moved quicker than the so called professional movers. What a joke. I recommend not using this company.

The Worst

Worst movers ever, NEVER use this business. They drank my partner's drinks because they didn't have they brains to bring their own, they were weak, slow and inexperienced. They wasted time on the phone and chatted. They were rude and didn't bring eftpos machine even though I arranged to pay by card. They broke furniture and dragged out the job. The reviews on their website don't match independent review sites. It took them 45 mins to make the journey which took me 10 mins. They had bad attitudes, I can't stress enough how useless they were.

House move

I booked weeks in advance for my Christchurch house move. Paid the deposit and got an email confirmation of my booking.

After waiting over an hour after they were due, I eventually got hold of someone in Auckland, (no reply from the local number), and was told they would not be doing my move. When I explained I had no choice but to move on that day all I got was “sorry for the inconvenience”. They first told me they had mechanical problems then admitted they overbooked. I’ve repeatedly tried to speak to the Christchurch branch to vent my anger but no one ever answers the phone.

The most unprofessional and incompetent bunch I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Never again!

Do not use CBD Movers !!!!!

They will not fufill their promised services, lost two pieces from my couches within a 6-minute drive then said we don't know where it is and that there's nothing they can do. Missing items were noticed while they were still onsite, told they must be in a box.

Then they tell me i never asked them to pack i have email evidence and had at least four phone conversations to make sure they would as i am six months pregnant and needed the help with the kitchen ect. I was told you "will not need to lift a finger." I did have to i had to pack everything then they told me they would not take the stuff i packed so i then needed to lift the boxes into cars.

They left my belongings on the lawn of the new property while there was someone at the other end who told them to put it into the house , they said there was no one there and couldn't gain entry LIES!

Told me they needed to leave for another job before the move was complete and their belongings were still on the lawn.

Responses from the complaints team say the movers never said that , you never asked and maybe look again for the missing couch pieces.

Im going to small claims court with this, unprofessional and disrespectful of people paying for a service.

NEVER AGAIN, DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS.

They have movers in several countries. Received phone call within 15 minutes of online enquiry for quote.

Time wasted

Very unprofessional. Just wasted whole of my day. Was supposed to start at 8am but later said at 6pm. I called them so many times, they didn’t even know where there movers were. Just wasted my time

Unhappy customer

Several pieces of furniture dropped and damaged. This is a sub contracted business. Price was fair but at the end of the day it wasn’t worth the court costs. Didn’t have blankets or strapping for protecting furniture.

Cancellations galore v stressful

They took my booking. The day before tried to cancel it and move to the following day. Then guaranteed they would be there on the day I booked.

3 hours into waiting on the day, they called and said they would be another 4 hours. V stressful situation on a moving day.
